Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then see if it shows under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunee. If it shows there but doesn't have the clpud symbol against it for redownloading then is that track listed in the Music part of your library i.e. where you would click on it to play it ? If it is then delete it from there and it should then get the cloud symbol against it in Purchased.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com . iTunes Support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours.

I have the 30 gb ipod video and its not letting me see movies. i have purchased 3 movies from itunes and i can only see 2 of them, and ive donwloaded 2 other movies (digital copys) and i cant see them! It tells me that there "loaing" but goes back to the main menu. What is WRONG? i have enough free space....

For the iTunes purchases, the 5th gen video iPod does not work with movie rentals.
For the other movies, make sure they are supported formats. From the 5th gen iPod specs:
H.264 video, up to 1.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Low-Complexity Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; H.264 video, up to 768 Kbps, 320 by 240 pixels, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats
(the key parts being H.264/MPEG-4 format and the resolution limit of 640x480)

How to see rented movies

I'm running the latest ATV software.
I rented a movie (state of play) last week but hadn't watched it yet. Yesterday I also rented another movie (Moon) to watch later as well. I wanted to avoid any slow streaming issues and get them downloaded prior to watching them.
So now I want to watch the first movie, but I can't see it anywhere. I can see the second movie (Moon) in the bar of films along the top of the menu screen when I go into movies, and it tells me I have 29 days left. But I can't find any way of seeing State of Play. Why is there no rent movie list in the menu? Can anyone help?

I had not watched it, only downloaded it last week so it has not reached its 30 day limit. I was going to watch it this evening, but it has disappeared from ATV after I downloaded the second movie. Can ATV only hold one rental at a time?
I have contacted Apple and they say the film is waiting to be downloaded, but I'm not clear how to redownload it yet.
It seems strange that there isn't a 'rented' category in the movies menu rather than having the rented films floating above the menus.

Cant Play Rented Movie

I want downloading a rented movie off itunes to go onto my ipad, I saw that it had nearly downloaded and let it do its thing, then when I went back to see if the download had been completed it was gone, it wasnt in my video app or anything, how can I find it? And will I be charged for it even thought it hasnt been downloaded or watched?

HT1391 Does Airplay struggle with rented movies on an external drive?

My Apple TV lets me play iTunes music on my TV (at the other end of the house) over Wi Fi connection but rented movies stall after a couple of minutes, saying there is no network connection. Having attempted to watch this way I am then forbidden to continue watching on my desktop as teh movie has been allocated to 'another device'. I'm only three minutes into Skyfall!
My iTunes library is on an external USB 2 drive. I'm wondering if it's failing to stream fast enough?
Any ideas?

Rented movie on PC, synced to IPad4. As long as Itunes is open and connected to wifi on the PC, the rented movie appears in my IPad4 video library. When Itunes closed on PC, movie disappears from Ipad in video library???
Making difficult to rent on PC, transfer to IPad to watch on plane.

Syncing does not transfer rented content. Have you moved the rental via the procedure given here?

Cant see hire movies or podcasts

I've got the new apple tv and I love it... I've rented movies and watched them fine and I like watching TED on full screen finally too, but now when I turned it on today there are only movie trailers showing from "in Theaters" and no Podcasts... Is this something to do with iTunes or the apple TV

Yeah..All good... Turned it off at the switch and plugged it back in... and it works... Don't know why but hey... Will remember to do the old master rest next time before I worry.

Cant watch rented movies on apple tv after software update

I recentlly bought apple tv and have not had a problem using it but this afternoon I went to rent a movie as per usual but had to instal a software update first, now i can't watch / rent / download movies.It asks me to confirm my credit card pin number then it just returns to the previous screen. I have tried verifying the credit card, resetting apple tv, turning on and off the modem, restarting apple tv, de registering other devices and it still doesnt work. Anyone know if there is a solution?

I have exactly the same behavior.
One small wrinkle, after re-entering CC details I couldn't even watch purchased TV shows. Then I reset the ATV and after it will allow me to watch TV shows we have bought but I still cannot purchase anything. There is no error message of any kind, it just goes back to the previous screen.
BTW apple, we use my wife's login for ATV
