After double clicking Firefox icon on desktop screen is black. Tried uninstalling and downloading. Didn't help. What can I do?
When I double click the Firefox icon on my desktop it brings me to a black screen rather than the Google start page. I tried updating Firefox and that didn't help. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but that did not help. I am using Microsoft Explorer to download and send this message. I have never had this problem before. Any ideas to help me get rid of the black screen so Firefox is functioning? Thanks in advance. Molly
Hi Molly, you probably found the answer in another thread by now, but this is caused by Firefox 33 being incompatible with older graphics card/chipset driver software. As a temporary workaround, you can disable Firefox from using hardware acceleration. More info: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1025438

I open Frefx and a small icon of homepage shows above taskbar at bottom of Win7. But I cannot open a full page or use Firefox. I tried uninstalling then installing newest version, but this did not solve the problem. Have had to go back to IE

Firefox opens three sided frame when you open it. Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help.
Firefox 5 cannot load properly. When it loads, it opens a blank frame with three sides showing (left, bottom, right). I say the frame is blank because it shows the blank desktop color inside the frame. Uninstall and reinstall was not successful.
No crash id available as I cannot get an interface.

Browser starts out working normally but within a few minutes it freezes, stops responing and I have to close it using Task Manager. When I open Task Manager, it shows two Firefox programs running with different icons even though I only opened one window.
iTunes saves out a new copy of the entire library file every time a change is made to the library. This is not new behavior.
The slowdowns I have seen like this have ususally been caused by:
A virus
or
Some anti-virus software is incorrectly interpreting the rewriting of the file and is causing a problem.
Either way, you should definitely update your anti-virus software and definitions to the latest, and run a full scan of your system. If that does not help, you may want to recreate your iTunes library. -

Know why Premiere Elements 3.0 won't start when I double click the icon?
I have Windows Vista 32 bit. I have Premiere Elements 3.0 and the 3.0.2 patch. When I double click the icon, it won't load. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app but it still won't load. It worked as recently as last week. I had some virus issues so I took my laptop to Geek squad and they "fixed" the issues.
I never had this problem with Premiere before. Anybody know what might be causing it not to start?
I have been considering an upgrade. I see that they are up to version 9. Will version 9 even work on Vista?It depends.
What do you mean by "I never had this problem before"? Do you mean Premiere Elements worked fine until the Geek squad restored your computer?
Unless they totally wiped your hard drive and reinstalled your operating system, they may have patched but not totally fixed your problem.
Or it could be that your computer just needs a good cleaning and defragging. Assuming you've got adequate power and a good 30-50 gigabytes of free defragmented space on your C drive.
But there's a very good chance that, if you've re-installed version 3 and it still won't run, then version 9 won't run either. After all, if you still haven't remedied yoru core problem, a new vehicle isn't likely to make any difference, right?
Still, there's no harm in trying. Why not download free trial and see? -

With this code what is happening is, when user double clicks a line on Pop-up screen with ALV grid data, the program is able to successfully get into the class implementation but the control is not going to PAI module to execute the OK_code handling part.

Slow start up after double clicking desktop icon. Firefox 5.0 and 6.0
When I double click the icon on my desktop it takes 30 40 seconds for Firefox to start. I did this in fire fox 5.0 and 6.0. Firefox 3.6 had no trouble and IE8, Google Chrome and Safari has no trouble. Running win XP with 2 gig ram. 3.06 P 4 cpu on Dell 2400.
I have these problems, too, and they're making think it's time to give up on Firefox.

How can I OPEN files I just downloaded? They're on the DOWNLOADS screen of Firefox but I can't open them even after double-clicking? And they're not on the FOLDERS as well. Even the right-click is not working ... the "open containing folder" does not work.
