After Downgrading 2012 Cal and RDS can i later "un-Downgrade" back to 2012
So here is the deal. I have a system that came shipped with 2008R2 Standard server but had shipped with 2012 5user Cal and 5 user RDS. (i have no idea why they did that) So i inorder to use my Cals and RDS i had to call MS and downgrade the 2012
Cal and 2012 RDS to 2008R2.
Now that i have done that 15 months has past and our core database is now 2012 compliant. We would like to upgrade the server to 2012 standard and use the old 2012 5 user Cal and 5 user RDS with 2012.
Just to be clear the card i have in my hand says 2012 5 user Cal and 2012 5 user RDS. However i have called MS and downgraded these to 2008R2. Will these now work with Server 2012, or are they stuck in 2008R2.
Hi,
If you have a Server 2012 RD Licensing server you may install your 2012 RDS CALs on it and then set your Server 2008 R2 RDSH to use the 2012 RDL server. The 2012 RD Licensing server will automatically issue the CALs as 2008.
Apart from that, for Licensing terms I suggest you to contact MS clearinghouse directly for more clarification.

My Remote app used to work on my phone - I can't recall if I ever actually used it with my iPad, but when I tried today, I got all the same results as you did (on both iPad, and then iPhone). If you own a copy of iPhoto 'qq Log into the App store usimg the Apple I'd you used to set up the computer and go to updates to update. If you have an older version of iPhoto or purchased a used system then you must purchase iPhoto version 9.5

Not fully au fait with iCloud. I don't use it. But if you have done a backup to iCloud then this might help. This reply will refresh your post thereby giving others an opportunity to comment. my ipad is saying it hasn't been backed up in 3weeks. Back ups happen whan this ipad is plugeed in, locked and connected to WIFI. I've plugged it in to sync in my main computer and I can't get the icloud back up icon to go out.I can't even turn pad off

You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it. -

My icloud email messages disappear on all my devices after about a week and I cannot locate them - not in archive on icloud.
I use several devices to receive emails - imac, ipad, iphone and samsung galaxy note. I put all read emails to trash on samsung, ipad and iphone but keep on imac and wish to retain there for reference. All other accounts remain but icloud emails disappear. No devices say to delete from server. Can anyone please help?mazzaja wrote:

If this is your iCloud email account, whcn you delete an email from any of your devices, they are moved to the trash on all devices/computers, then the trash is automatically deleted after 30 days. That's how IMAP accounts work. You can't delete them from your device and keep it on the server because you are reading and deleting from the server itself.
If you want to keep them on your Mac, you'll need to move them to a folder rather than deleting them. When you do, they will be moved to the same folder on your other devices. -

IPod will stop syncing after about an hour and then can't write to iPod
I recently added several thousand songs to my iTunes. But my ipod will not sync all the songs. After about a thousand songs, it will come up with an error message saying that it can't write to the ipod. If I try to reconnect, the ipod does not show up in itunes and then it asks me to format the ipod again.
If i restore the ipod using the ipod updater 2006-01-10, I can get it to sync up again but it will come up with the same error message again after about a thousand songs but never in the same place.
I've tried following the troubleshooting techniques on the ipod support site for the ipod not showing up in the itunes window. But the ipod will show up in the itunes window immediately after I restore the ipod so I don't think that this is the problem. It's after the error message and when I try to reconnect it to the computer that it does not show up.
Any suggestions?Try unsyncing and resyncing all of your music. To do this, remove the tick mark next to Sync Music from under the iPod's Music tab and click Apply in the lower right hand corner. This will remove all tracks from the iPod. When it has finished, re-apply the check mark and again apply the changes to resync all music back over to the device. Make sure that Sync Entire library is still selected and that Sync only checked songs and videos is NOT selected.

My phone froze up after last update and I can't use it at all. I think the battery is fried as well. It gets really hot sometimes when I charge it and now it won't charge at all.
Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, usually takes about 10 seconds of holding both buttons. If still nothing try Reset while on Wall Charger, this can take about 20 seconds of holding both buttons while on Charger. If still nothing and you decide to Restore you iPhone with iTunes on computer, you may need to use DFU Mode Restore. Here are steps: Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power button, after exactly 10 seconds release the Power Button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time. If the iPhone screen is black, blank this is DFU Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes. DFU Mode can be difficult to enter sometimes, just keep trying. DFU Mode is a black, blank screen with iTunes saying Recovery Mode.

Problem after downgrading back to ITv.6....missing music during iPod synch?
I recently happily downgraded back to iTunes v.6 after experiencing a nightmare with iTunes v.7. Since re-installing v.6, everything is fine except for one strange and annoying problem. I'm hoping someone can help, so here goes....
Now, when I synch/update my iPod as I had always done (not automatically, but with selective playlists checked), about 400 of 1700 songs do not transfer from my G4 to the iPod. However, when I switch to update with the automatic option to include all playlists, all 1700 songs transfer over to the iPod. I believe I've narrowed this problem down to one particular playlist which may not be getting recognized by the iTunes library. In other words, I want this one playlist to appear in iTunes, but not on my iPod. But, if I try to update with this one playlist unchecked, 400 songs do not transfer over. This seems odd since all music files (mp3s) from all playlists are located in the iTunes music folder on my hard drive.
So, my question is....how can I go back to updating my iPod to include all of the 1700 songs in my library, but without the one particular playlist (which is quite large)? As was the case before the iTunes v.7 debacle, is there a simple way to get my library to recognize the particular playlist so I can update my iPod selectively without putting that playlist on my iPod? I've tried to do some online research before bothering the wise people on this Board and it would seem that I either need to: 1) somehow import that particular playlist back into my iTunes library or 2) create a new iPod library file which I understand may cause me to lose my playlists and comments. I'm afraid to do either without some guidance, for fear of making the situation worse. I'm not very technical and I'm guessing there's a simple fix for this, so I'd sincerely appreciate any help and advice. Thanks very much.Here's the log:
