After downloadeding the latest Java plugin, I start to receive "Please configure your browser to allow Java applets to access the filesystem" message when I try to run a download wizard. What do I need to do? BTW, IE does not have this problem.
I had no problem using a download wizard Java applet to download file to my computer from an SFTP site using Firefox. When I tried to do the same thing with Chrome, I was told to download the latest plugin. Once I did that, I receive the following message when I run the downlaod wizard:
The Java Wizard cannot run.
Please configure your browser to allow Java applets to access the filesystem.
I got the same message using Firefox and Chrome. However, I have no problem using IE to run the same download wizzard. Please help.
If the problem is with a site that is hosted using MOVEit DMZ by Ipswitch, please notify the site owner of the issue and ask them to apply the patch that is available on the support site to resolve the issue.

My Mac OS X (with 10.6.8 software) Mail 4.6 sends emails that other email clients don’t recognize as attachments, but as embedded pictures. When I receive emails from others, I do not see whole image either. I did change "rich text" to "plain text" in message format - no results.
My daughter has Mac (10.8.5) with Mail 6.6, which does not have this problem. Can I install 6.6 instead of 4.6 or do you know other fix?

AndrewI've been having the same problem now for several months (at least 3-4 if not more). And the frequency of Mail quitting is increasing, several times in a few hours. And as with you, no particular message pops up before hand or not even the beach-ball spinning first and then quitting.
I too have been sending Apple the crash reports. However, I have not contacted Apple Support yet. Hoping to find the answer in this forum, but again, no luck.
If you have found a solution since then, please advise. Or if anyone else out there knows of this issue and can help, that would be greatly appreciated. -
have updated both firefox and foxit to their latest versions.
since then cannot open internet pdf files.
hardware accelerator in firefox was already unchecked.
another browser does not have this problem.

The Local section of the Yahoo front page is stuck on New York as the default, and I'm unable to change it to my city using the normal procedure. IE does not have this problem. This is a new problem that has occurred with the latest version of Firefox. Since the same problem doesn't occur with IE, I've concluded that this is a Firefox issue and not a Yahoo issue. Please advise.

My new macbook pro (Mountain Lion 10.8.1) will not log into my 1and1 outgoing mail server. ( It will receive mail - but does not send)My old Snow Leopard macbook does not have the same problem ( server settings etc. are identical) . My eyes just glazed over...Please in the future break down each of your issues with paragraphs separated by two carriage returns. It would be much easier when trying to address your issues.
Go to Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Keyboard and Mouse -> Mouse
And edit your mouse settings to do what you want it to do.

Third, from my understanding, it would appear you are concerned about the noise the hard drive makes when it falls asleep? Why not put your machine in screen saver mode instead? Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Energy Saver turn off all Energy Saver settings, or set them to run Never.
Fourth, if your machine was purchased just a few days ago, you may still be able to get an exchange from the store, quicker than you can get a repair done. You may want to look into that possibility.
Fifth, it does appear you found the Logic forum. I would persist in asking there how to solve your technical issue with Logic regarding the audio. It may be you don't have to do anything special to the hard drive. Remember audio can be transmitted by wire, avoiding ambient sounds.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

My webmail interface is SmarterMail from Plesk as supplied by Hostgator. When Firefox updated to v31.0, I lost the ability to send mail because the popup windows for "New", "Reply", "Reply All", and "Forward" are too small to enter information and cannot be resized or maximized.
This problem does not occur with older versions of Firefox (tested 16.0.2, 21.0, 24.0, and 30.0) or with Chrome or Internet Explorer. While I am writing to you from a Windows XP Pro SP3 system, I have also verified the problem under Windows 7 Pro (x64) and Windows 8.1 (x64).
It's not profile settings, malware, or add-ons. I've tried Firefox Safemode and I've tried "Reset Firefox".
For the time being the workaround is to disable Firefox updates and downgrade everybody with v31 to v30. Please fix this ASAP. You have lots of people reporting it.As a temporary workaround, you can block website scripts from resizing windows. It's a bit of a sledgehammer, but another user who has this problem indicated that it does stop the SmarterMail script from rolling up the window.
Here's how:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''dom''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the '''dom.disable_window_move_resize''' preference to switch it from false to true. -

Yesterday, I went to the site for levno computers, using my web access for my work email. I opened the page to view the outlet items and was never able to get back out of it. Finally used ctrl,alt,delete and ended the task. After that the this is what my task bar looks like, I cannot resize or exit using tabs at the top or bottom they are not showing, nor is start showing in the lower left hand corner where I like it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling that did not help.

If this doesn't help, right-click the navigation toolbar, select ''Customize...'' and click ''Restore Default Set''. If it doesn't appear right away, try pressing ALT or F10. You can go into ''View > Toolbars > Menu Bar'' to make it permanently visible, or right-click the Navigation Toolbar and select ''Menu Bar''.
If none of this helps, you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Try disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal. -
My 4S will get on internet but will not connect to any site including the App store or I tunes. If I cut Wifi off and go thru Verizon network then it is just fine. It is very slow loading tho. Everyone else in my house connects just fine.

I can understand how connecting to Wi-Fi is very important to maintain better control of your GB. I appreciate all the troubleshooting you have already tried to get this issue corrected. To clarify, when I print the text is so large that it exceeds the page width. I can print same doc using Safari without any problems

Is there a way to remove my facebook contacts from my phone contacts list? I had an iphone 4 and it was easy to shut off from teh contacts through the groups link at the top left, but the iphone 5s does not have this feature nor can i figure it out through the settings feature or anything else....HELP please as it is annoying to see all of these contacts!
