After downloading a file, the Downloads window pops up but it is always empty. The files downloaded are not visible on this window. In order to access them, they must be sought out via windows explorer. Any ideas? Thanks.

Be sure Options > Privacy > "Remember download history" is checked.

I have just rented two movies and after download they are not visible anywhere for me to view. Usually in the iTunes menu there is an option call 'rentals' where rented movies sit until they expire, this is no longer visible. The movie files are listed in the finder under music/movies.... With the rest of my iTunes data, but they will not play in iTunes from there and I can't add them to my library for watching.
The only thing I am currently doing differently is that I have just subscribed to iTunes Match; would this affect my rentals?

Under your Library list, you should see "Movies". Click on that, and you will see a screen with several tabs at the top - Rentals, Unwatched, Movies, Genres, Home Videos, etc.
As Hackintosh indicated above, click on the Rentals tab, and your movies will be displayed there. Doulbe click on one to start playing it.
If you do not have your sidebar showing, go up to View at the top, and click on Show Sidebar. Then you will see your Library lists on the sidebar, which will include Movies.

Captivate 5.5 published files are not visible in Fire Fox or open in new window.

When I publish and post Captivate 5.5, the HTML or the swf files do not display in Fire Fox (latest version) without forcing the file to open in a new window (if it displays at all). If it does work, the Flash security blocks the swf on an ugly view until the user clicks.
I thought it was because I have to assign a direct URL to each component, but all of the other Captivate sites I have reviewed have the same issue when viewing in Fire Fox.
IE will display after the active x is authorized (I can live with that).
You Tube and other Flash display properly in Fire Fox, just not Captivate products.
I have disabled off all plugins, modified the protected settings, and everything I could find listed in the Fire Fox help. I have installed a previous version of Flash and Shockwave Player. Short of reinstalling windows, it is not working and that will not help because the published content is not visible on any other machine in the office or at home.
The files are in a Portal, so I cannot share them unless you are in the DoD and have an AKO or DKO account.
However, here is another example of the Captivate not working.

Any of the DAU games, if they display. It is a government site, so they have the standard gov garbage (stuff not working like certificates), but nothing is harmful nor can they do anything to track other than the current session.
It is kind of weird how the content is displayed... It is not an intranet, it goes to a limited access portal. When I store content, it uses an absolute path instead of relative path. Very aggrevating when using many of the tools for non-programmers (like me), and probably more aggrevating for programmers.
Whether I point directly to the .swf or to the generated HTML, the content displays in IE, but not in FF.
It may be a combination of FF and Captivate. FF seems rather flaky in dealing with swf files. There is the consideration for add-ons, but I tried on a newly imaged computer and it still was not working. Even after going through all of the FF steps to get it to work.
Basically we had to create a new HTML file to display the content because the Captivate published files don't work. However, the new HTML does not reference the XML files.
When I publish, I get 5 different files, .swf, .htm, .js, and 2 .xml. When I dig through the code (once again, not a programmer, soo I may be missing something), even round tripping to Flash, I do not see how the .xml files are referenced at all.
These may be different topics, not sure, it came up because I am trying to get a simple solution from the product that can be easily transferred to our production servers and available for Solders to access.

i have recently upgraded my laptop to Mac osx mountain lion, and inorder to have write access to NTFS drives i use paragon NTFS for Mac software which was working well with OSX Lion. After i have installed OSX mountain lion i can only see the files which were created using this Mac book from the time it is purchased and all order files are not being shown on the external NTFS hard drive. is this because of any bug in the new OSX?? kindly help.

Uploaded files are not visible

I have uploaded numerous mp4 tutorial files I use on a regular basis, and they are not visible (I did not hide files). They were not visible at all after their upload. I initially thought there was an error were issue with the upload, but when I went to upload a single file once that is complete I was told in a dialog box is a duplicate file name. The duplicate file is visible; however, the original upload file is not.

Photos shown in the Package Contents are not visible in iPhoto.

I am using iPhoto '08 (7.1.5 (378)) and have suddenly found that the last 3 years worth of photos are not displayed in iPhoto while they are still visible in the Package Contents (using Finder). The folders (with event and image content) for 2012 through part 2009 are in Originals, Modified and Data but do not get picked up by the iPhoto application. I have backups upto April 2011 i.e. no backups for a considerable number of photos since April 2011.
I have searched previous discussions whereupon I have tried using the re-build option in iPhoto Library Manager (it re-builds with the photos missing) and all the re-build options available when launching iPhoto with the Option+Command keys pressed (with seemingly very little activity).
Has anyone had this problem? Have I missed a relevant discussion? Does anyone know how I can re-instate my missing photos and events in iPhoto?

When you repaired the libary did you check the option ot recover orphane3d photos in the iPhoto Library folder along with rebuilding the database file and repairing file permissions and?
If that doesn't help the try the following:
Starting over from scratch with new library
Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
1. Open the library package like this.
2. Launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
3. Drag the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from the open iPhoto Library package into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same Events (but not necessarily the same Event names) as the original library but will not keep the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects.
Note: your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

Pc recognizes air disk but files are not visible

i have an airport extreme and an express and after three days of fiddling almost everything is working. but on the pc i can open the air disk. in the info box the pc sees itincorrectly as a phat 32 disk even though it is hfs+. i am able to mount and open it but when it opens there are no files visible. if i plug the drive directly into the pc its all good. through the extreme network - cant see the files.

Svg files are not visible in Adobe Edge

I am able to see where my svg files are, and am able to animate and size them. However, I can only see the outline of the file, not the actual image.
When I preview this in my browser, everything is visible and there are no problems.
How do I see my svg files?

Can you pl share your composition to let us know how the SVG is being used or can you give more details like your animate version, machine details and specify exactly how it is being used, such as whether the svg does not render only when used within the symbols etc?.

All the pricing conditions are not visible for a given sales area, material

Hello All,
There is a customized screen with sales area(Sales org, distribution channel and division), material and sold to party. There is buttton when we click it has to display the pricing conditions. The problem here is it is not displaying all the conditions some conditions like ZB02 and MWST are missing. The Function module used is PRICING.
Whereas in VA03 tranaction for a sales order created with this sales area, material it is showing all the conditions for a item.
Please help me to solve this issue.

The BP's created for one particular sales area are not getting replicated into CRM, though before sometime it was happening.

The BP with the "general data", and "role of sold to party" only flows but not with the sales area. There is no BDoc error in the SMW01 either. While displaying BP for the role of sold to party, it shows "Sold-to-party(maintained)" but the sales area entries though maintained for this sales area in the ECC, do not flow to the CRM.

1. Create a BP in CRM (with the sold-to party role) with the required Sales area and see if this customer when replicated to ECC has the relevant Sales Area. Ideally it should get replicated if all you middleware settings are fine.
2. See you have not set a filter for a specific Sales Area and becuase of that BP is getting replicate but not the sales area.

I was trying to test the demo in the showcase page (http://html.adobe.com/edge/animate/showcase.html) in my iPad, iPhone and HTC device. None of them has the "view" button visible, so I cannot check the demo at all. Do you encounter the same issue? Any thoughts?

Yes, I understand! Actually we have tested the previous examples last month before the new release! In general they were working fine but with some bugs in the mobile devices.
Is there any possibility we could test some live examples via mobile devices?
In the past years we have heavily relied on flash tools. With the rapid growth of the usage of tablets and smart phones in our business, we will have to get rid of flash tools as soon as possible. We are in the phase to select and test new development environment intensively. Unfortunately I have aleady shared the same link with many of my colleagues for testing (didn't realize that they are not working any more). Any suggestion would be great!

I did a factory restore w/ HP tech. giveing me the advice to do so. I have a HP Pavillion 17 notebook. came installed w/ Windows 8 after a few months I upgraded to 8.1 Now after restore Im running 8 My problem is after this re-start I did not get all my factory installed apps. EXAMPLE Getting started Windows 8 and others. Desktop Icons also did not populate except trash quick start icon thats it Please help THE HP TECS I HAVE SPOKE WITH apx. 8 HOURS in 3 days time are very hard to UNDERSTAND AS IM SPEAKING TO THESE GUYS IN INDIA india. tHEY ALL HAVE GAVE ME DIFFERENT ADVICE AND HAVE CAUSED ME TO HAVE MORE PROBLEMS WITH MY SYSTEM THAN I DID IN THE BEGINNING.

MAC Files are not Visible when logged in on Windows

I installed 10.5 with Boot camp and Windows XP successfully on my MAc Mini (1GB RAM).
When i log on to MAC i see the Windows partitoned HDD and its contents however when i log on to windows i cant see the MAC Partitoned HDD in windows explorer.
Does any one know a workaround to this issue?

What you see has always been and is normal. However, if you must, you can buy MacDrive7 - they have a demo - which allows 32-bit versions of Windows to access (r/w) to HFS+ volumes.

After having a problem, and solving it by restarting on Safe Mode, the app names are not visible and are changed to "AAAAA" symbols

After clicking render, files are NOT rendered

This may be a two part question, but I think the problems are related:
My scratch disk is set to my external hard drive, but the render files somehow have started going to my laptop. I had to move the files over to my external hard drive and delete them from the laptop because I didn't have much room left.
Now some songs that were on the timeline won't render. I reconnect the media, then click render. The render dialogue box flashes, but it doesn't render the files.
So, 1. Why aren't my render files going to my external hard drive and
2. Why aren't the files rendering?
Any help is much appreciated!

It depends on what type of rendering you need. In the render submenus, be sure there's a check mark next to the render type that matches the colored render bar atop the sequence.
As for why your render files aren't going to where you specified, at least double-check your scratch disk settings.
