After downloading iTunes, nothing happens...
I downloaded iTunes from the Apple website, and nothing happened. I searched my computer but only found a .png file that opened in Photoshop when I clicked it. It is also not in my downloads, I checked that too. What gives?
Miz Katrina, haven't you read the other dozens of topics with the same problem ??? We appreaciate your answers, but users have tried everything !!! Different account, closing antivirus, QT working etc etc, there seems to be a deeper problem and Apple doesn't seemn to care at all...I am extremly frustrated because I wanted to buy an iPod Touch and without the latest version I won't be able to use it...please stop posting the same useless things over and over again...

I have uninstalled iTunes and quick time player, removed the pop up blocker, and I am logged in as an administrator on my laptop account, but every time I attempt tp download iTunes from the apple site I am taken to a new window, that states "Thank you for downloading iTunes", but nothing has been downloaded.

After downloading Itunes 7.6 I click and nothing happens
I have windows XP and a gateway laptop thats about 3 years old. I recently bought a nano 3rd generation and after downloading Itunes 7.6 SUCCESSFULLY I click on the Icon and I get an hourglass then it goes away and nothing happens!
Keep in mind I had an earlier version of Itunes on there before...Now I see alot of people have asked this question before but....has anything been resolved?? Can I do anything? I already tried uninstalling and then renstalling the old version and now the old one is doing the same thing! I click on update though and it says do you want to update to iTunes 5 then I keep clicking download and nothing happens after....... Helppp ?
By the way this is when I try to update to iOS 5 by clicking update after iPhone 4 is plugged in

After downloading iTunes, the setup file simply does nothing...
I got a new iPod touch yesterday and when I tried to update my iTunes (which was 7.6) the update would not work. After trying to update multiple times I finally decided to uninstall iTunes so that I could re-install it (and hopefully have it work. This, I soon learned was a big mistake. The download of the iTunes setup file to my desktop worked fine, but when I tried to actually install iTunes, nothing happened. I can click the file, a window pops up saying that the program is from an unknown publisher and asks me if I want to run it anyway. I click yes, and nothing happens. When I try to install iTunes from the apple website, it won't work either. I then get a pop up saying that the program is bot valid and will not install. I have tried everything reccomended on the troubleshooting section and no change. I have windows XP, which is up to date, has vbscript installed and have tried everything that I can think of. Can anyone help me??

There is an experiment I have been wanting to try with someone if you are willing. I have been wondering if this could be anything to do with a problem with cryptographic dlls.
Could you try working through *Method 4* in the following link:

It is possible that simple re-registering the dlls might help if the process goes through without any error messages.
But it is also a test to check for missing dlls - make a careful note of any error messages that may occur. -
everytime i click on the view in itunes button/link on the itunes website so that i can download apps, nothing happens. I accendentally clicked on the button other than open itunes and now i cant fix it

I can no longer open any attachments that are sent to me. I click on and get cannot preview (but have had this for ages). I am clicking on download and nothing happens. It does not download. I clicked to install a new version after updating and clicking repair. But still the attachments won't open including invoices I have received today. It is all attachments not just pdfs.

I just got an iphone 5c and downloaded ringtone maker and made a 30 second 4r ringtone and when I try to drag and drop it in the tones folder of itunes nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
If the file is a correctly formatted AAC file with the .m4r file extension and less than 40 seconds long, then iTunes should put it into the Tones section of the library and move it into the Tones folder inside your media folder.
I've just checked the current version of iTunes behaves as I've desribed, which it does for me at least.
You may need to have some tones in your library for the tones tab to display when the device is connected.

In the normal course of events, you can update by just running the iTunesSetup.exe. No special precautions need to be taken (beyond those you usually take with an update, or just in general, like maintaining a current backup).

After downloading iTunes,it won't open stating need Internet connection. Have Internet connection but program apparently doesn't recognize it. How can I resolve. This happened on 2 different computers.
If the modem is also a router, either use the modem in bridge and run pppoe client on the TC.. that is assuming ADSL or similar eg vdsl. If it is cable service.. and the modem is a router, then bridge the TC.. go to internet page and select connect by ethernet and below that set connection sharing to bridge.
Please tell us more about the modem if the above gives you issues. -

After downloaded Itunes - connected Iphone 4 - The computer makes a noise for new software but says it's a stills camera & not whole the Iphone...
Then, it's (computer) automatically restart itself for no seemed reason...
I deleted the itunes & hooked the iphone - all was fine but NO itunes - I downloaded itunes again so the restart happend again only after putting the iphone too...
Before the restart the computer recognize a still camera & the itunes DON'T recognuse nothing...
I tried with my ipod cable & same results - I changed the USB port with one that working fine already & same results - I hooked it on a friend computer & NO restart. His Itunes recognize my iphone...
Anybody knows what can I do, Please?Trash it and install it again.
