After downloading Lion and getting the cloud, email doesn't come into Mail.

After I got my iPhone 4s, I downloaded Lion to get iCloud so my contacts and calendars would sync. When I couldn't open Mail, I followed rkaufmann87's instructions and Mail opened fine. HOWEVER, now I'm not getting email into any of my four email accounts. What REALLY BIZARRE is that the email aren't coming into the servers when I go on the internet to look for the - OR the email comes in and then disappears. Help!!

When you launch Mail and select the Inbox from the mailbox list, it's empty?

PhotoStream is purely a conduit for transferring pictures added to or taken on one device onto all the others seamlessly. Photos are held there only for 30 days. There is no way of accessing, viewing or deleting individual photos; you can reset the entire Photostream, erasing everything.

Regarding your issue it would be helpful if you provided much more information. You get the spinning beachball when? Also how much RAM does your MBP have and any other specifics about your problem.

After downloading Lion and restarting my harddrive was wiped?

I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen but after restarting it came up with a weird screen that had some startup icons like recover time machine and reinstall lion
None of my stuff is on my computer anymore and the screen doesn't have a dock, I'm not sure what to do and I'm scared everything on my computer is completely gone. The only things I am able to do is "Select Macintosh HD to start up your computer" and "Restart"
If I restart what will happen? I'm scared to touch anything. I talked with a friend who downloaded Lion and he said this didn't happen for him. My computer is up to the requirements stated on the Lion page but I didn't refer to it before installing.
I'm not very good with computers either so this might just be something that happens that I didn't know how to deal with

How can I get access in Imatch to my own songs, several thousand, which I imported over the years. Also, when I try to re-import cds, Preferences, Import only works sporadically. Mainly, I want Itunes to repost the songs I imported from cds. Thanks.

You sound like an Apple support guy who hasn't been able to answer my questions.
To respond to some of the points you made,
- I did not ignore Ocean20's suggestion. If you has read my post, you would have known that I took my phone to the apple service centre where they tried this restore on THEIR machines. I am assuming that Apple guys know how not to block iTunes. So I actually do not understand your point about me trying the hosts file changes on my machine. Do you not believe that apple tested this issue with the correct settings?
- you also give a flawed logic of why the issue is a hardware issue. You mentioned that If I thought that the issue was with the software, i should try a restore and getting it to work. The problem is that my error (23), and many others comes up when the restore fails. And you would be astonished to know that not all errors are hardware errors. Sometimes even software errors prevent restores. Funnily enough Apple itself mention that 'in rare cases, error 23 could be hardware related'.
- all Apple has done so far is replicate the issue. I don not know how anyone can conclude that the issue is a hardware issue.
And by the way, I am not certain that this is a software bug. Again if you read my Posts, you will notice I only want a confirmation,/proof that the issue is hardware related as they mention..

I'm trying to download ML, and get the product distribution file error. I have repaired the permissions in Disk Utility, I don't seem to have a applestore cache. I am on a corporate network, so am thinking it might be firewall related. Ideas?

I've tried every option I can to self support, from disk repair to deleting caches (I don't usually use the appstore so don't have one), and I don't have a pckge file either.
I'm on a corporate network that restricts access to iTunes, so suspect it may be related to a firewall issue, although it has been relaxed to let me access the app store.
Any other ideas of what to check myself before I go to tech support, and what do I need to get them to do. They are not really a mac supporting unit, so I need specific instructions.
I'm on a mac pro, upgrading from Snow Leopard, so download is my only option.

Read this whole message before doing anything.
Back up all data.
Quit the App Store application if it’s running.
Step 1
Hold down the option key and select
Go ▹ Library
from the Finder menu bar. Delete the following items from the Library folder (some may not exist):
Caches/com.apple.appstore
Leave the Library folder open. Try the App Store again. If it works now, stop here. Close the Library folder.
Step 2
If you still have problems, quit again. Go back to the Finder and move the following item from the open Library folder to the Desktop:
Cookies/com.apple.appstore.plist
Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist
Test. If the App Store now works, delete the files you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, quit again. Put back the files you moved, overwriting the newer ones that may have been created in their place, and continue.
Step 3
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below to select it:
test -d $TMPDIR../C/com.apple.appstore && rm -r $_
Drag or copy and paste the selected line — do not type it — into the Terminal window. You should get a new line ending in a dollar sign ("$"). Quit Terminal.
Test. If the issue is still not resolved, post again.

How to know when the PRICE AFTER DISCOUNT changed and get the value

Everything I do to see if a value changed in the grid works except for PRICE AFTER DISCOUNT
which seems to be inaccessible.
Any idea how to know when exactly this value changed and do actions accordinly ?
Also I always get 0.00 if I try to get the value of it
This works to get in the condition of a vlaue changing but I always get 0.00 as the value of the column

just idea, maybe it will works
Create one udf in row level and set there FS based on changes on price after discount and fill value what is in price after discount. Then the validation make on this field instead of standard SAP field.

Trying to setup parallels on lion and get the floating toolbars as i can on previous os

on my imac (osx 10.6) i installed parallels 5 and loved it especially the way it made windows with floating menus and not a solid windows terminal.
I have just brought a new air with osx lion and parallels 6 and cannot get the same working environment and dont now where to get help is this a lion issue or a parallels issue.
Anyone else got similar problems if so have you resolved them and how

Make sure the Mute button is not selected and the the correct output device is.

And just how is suggesting to remove Lion and to go back to Snow Leopard not helping the OP in his quest to make his already owned and paid for MS Office software work? If it is isn't broken stop trying to fix it. Snow Leopard is a fine OS. Lion is still in Beta, only Apple hasn't told anyone. And yes I run Lion on my new MBP but I also have a partition with Snow Leopard on it.

After downloading SP0, and entering the product key, get Evaluation message

I have bought CR2008, then downloaded SP0.
I entered the product key from my original CR2008 cd.
Now every time I start CR I get a message: Evaluation Copy: This will expire in 7937 days. etc.
Now 7937 days is 20 years, so I am not afraid of loosing the use of CR but it is rather annoying.
How can I turn this message off??

I downloaded 3.6. It says must be re-booted, I re-boot and get the same message when it comes back.

I downloaded Firefox 3.6. It said to reboot computer, and clicked yes. It rebooted, and the icon that appears brings up the same box that says "needs to be rebooted"

Help. I am all of a sudden having download errors and get the message /Users/MWP/Downloads/PFMS_vball_sched-4.pdf could not be opened, because an unknown error occurred. Try saving to disk first and then opening the file.
