After downloading Quictime version 7.7.4 for Windows on my Dell Inspiron Ultrabook with Windows 8 installed, I keep getting 4 double beeps ever 10-15 second. However when I unistall the software the beeping stops. Any help would be appreciated.

You have several thing at play. The first, most likely to cause a crash, and easiest to fix is that you have Safari in the wrong place:
Path: /Users/Rich/Desktop/Safari.app/Contents/MacOS/Safari
You have the Safari Application on the Desktop but, to work correctly, it must be in the Applications folder :
Path: Macintosh Hard Drive > Applications.
Second, you have some third-party plug-ins or extensions that can cause trouble. Try deactivating DivX---it is known to prevent videos on Apple's web site from working. Also turn off the EverNote extension until you as sure everything is stable. Check for an Evernote update.
See how things go with Safari in the proper place and with extensions turned off. Then turn extensions back on one at a time and test for stability
The fact that you are running Flash 10.3 makes me think you have a newer iMac than covered in this forum. PPC Macs can run no higher than Flash 10.1, so you may be in a forum for models older than yours. Do "About this Mac" from your Apple menu and see what the processor description reads. If it includes the word "Intel," you should post future questions here:

Hi, I'm having the same issue, but I don't think it's related to Google calendars.
Reason being, I have "Bill A's Birthday" on December 15 - Bill A is in my iCloud contacts (once) and his birthday is listed. His birthday is not in my Google calendar, which is the only other one my iPad pulls from other than iCloud.
When I tap "Calendars" at the top on the iPad, under the subscribed calendars, I have:

Imac 21" I keep getting ggh'l and the speaker volume screen keeps popping up. Any ideas of what is causing this and how to fix it?

I recently converted from the PC world to Apple and got an IMAC 21". I keep getting the speaker volume screen popping up periodically and also types in ggh'l into whatever application I have open. I have the lastest software and have McAfee antivirus installed. This is a recent problem in the last few days so I'm not sure what is causing it. Any ideas/suggestions?

You can not access the backup directly.
Did you restore your replacement from this backup?
If so then you already have everything in the backup on your device.
If not, you can wipe the device and restore from this backup:
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for phone to restart (no data will be lost).

I have done several "attempted downloads, and see the full file download, typically taking 30 minutes to complete, and then something goes wrong.
I am happy to suspend AV and FW software, but would like to know if it is a good fix or not first?

Any idea on what is causing my serial ports to lock up?

I recently purchased the NI serial-usb 4 serial port interface box because I was having a problem of my serial ports locking up, and I thought the problem might be with my serial port card. Well, after a few days with the NI boxes 2 of my serial ports locked up. This is a big problem that I need to get resolved. If anyone has any ideas on what might be causing this please let me know.
I am running Lookout 5.0 (build 7) and Logos 4.4.0.17 on a Dell Windows XP machine with 1GB RAM and a 2 GHz processor. I have already tried recompiling my Lookout file and clearing out my database but the problem still occurs. If I restart the file then the ports start working fine again, but I need to know what is causing this since this
wasn't a problem until about 2 months ago.
Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

I have Laplink running on the computer all the time, and we do have 2 SCADA packs in the field at this time, but I don't run the Telepace program on this computer. This computer does not have a modem. As far as the serial port card, I was using a "Byterunner" 4 serial port card but I purchased the NI 4 serial port -usb interface because I thought the byterunner card might be the problem.
Do you think Laplink could be causing the problem?

Creating new VM ends with Error code 3430 and 3040 in Hyper-V log. Does anyone have any insight into what might cause this?

I have blownout the server and reinstalled the operating system and SCVVM and applied all the current updates to no avail. I have the exact same issue again. The problem seem to be at least on the serface an authority problem because I have no problem creating
new VM via the P2V process on an old Virtual Server running on Win2003R2.
Oh yes I can create new virtual machines on the system in question and move them to the library as was suggested to verify in a Blog post so I am really wondering what the problem is?
Configuration Analyzer Just gave me a warning about reporting not being setup on the VVM which it isn't so no suprise there?

I've looked at both threads, and there simply isn't enough information for me to tell you what is wrong. Please collect a trace (instructions in General forum) and open a case with CSS. CSS can provide more in depth analysis than what a forum
post allows.

My voltage input reading are floating around and cant seem to get an accurate reading of any kind. What is causing this?

Im trying to input a DC voltate on channel 1. So i hook up +5 to the channel 1 analog input, and hook up ground to the AIGND. When i measure it in continous time, i get a reading of -1.3 V, when i move the cable connecting the NI board and the DAQ, the voltage jumps around. I even tried connecting AIGND straight to channel 1 analog input, and read a voltage of 2.3, but its not stable, it jumps around a lot. What is this problem. please help

This is going to depend on how you have your DAQ board configured. In differential mode, the positive input is channel 0, but the negative input is channel 8 (for 8 differential/16 single ended MIO boards. Channel 32 is - on 32 differential/64 single ended MIO boards). (Similarly, chan 1 (+) and chan 9 (-) are the next channels, etc).
For single ended mode, chan 0 is the +, and AIGND is the -.
I suspect you have your board in differential mode, and your - is not connected to the correct pin; therefore, your voltage is floating.

PLEASE...Any Suggestions on What Could Cause This?

Logic has been pretty darned stable for me and I'm getting a lot of work done now, having been a user now about a month or so.
The ONLY consistent bug I have is this.
1 When I close a song, and open a new one, I hit PLAY and get loud digital noise. I have to quit Logic, reopen the file, then it works fine. This happens without fail, everytime.
2 The other time this occurs is about 50 per cent of the time...and that is when adding a new audio file to a new song. So I create a new project, based on my Autoload, and the first thing I do is bring in one stereo audio track, either by importing via the AUDIO window, or dragging from the desktop. Doesn't seem to matter, about HALF the time, I hit play, and get the loud noise (now music is heard from the imported track.) Quit, relaunch, fine.
I'm using the latest RME driver for the Fireface.
Has anyone heard of this problem?
Quiting and relaunching is REALLY getting to be a daily drag, especially when already in Logic and I just want to change songs.

Be sure your RME Fireface settings are set for your interface to be "master" sync..
Also do you have any other inputs that could carry sync coming into your system?
ala:
isight camera or other camera or firewire device capable of sync on the same bus..?
optical input from CD or DVD...
spdif..ect..
I have definately had trouble with my FF800 when
I have had an isight plugged in.. audio drops and distorted signal / noises.
also with cannon FW camera...
And these devices are not even close to being on the same bus..
iSight on fw400 in front panel of G5
FF800 on nitro AV card...(or G5 FW800)
Still screws up the RME audio...
Dont know wether its Apple or RME driver to blame ..
Seems like it would be Apple cause of the cross buss 400/800 issue..

Firefox is constantly freezing up, and I can't get it going again until I close pluginscontainer.exe which, when freezing, is quite large (sometimes even as big as 300MB). What is causing this? It seems to happen on pages with Flash.

I have already tried reinstalling Firefox, using both the BETA and Stable releases. I've cleared all of my plugins and started over with them, reinstalling Flash multiple times as well. After an uninstallation, I even went as far as deleting Mozilla from my Appdata folder on my user account and from Program Files to assure complete uninstallation.
This crash happens multiple times in a day, I can't go 20 minutes of browsing without this happening.
Also, there are multiple instances of plugin-container.exe running (right now, 5).

There is a known issue where multiple instances of plugin container open if history or cookies are cleared. Are you, or some utility clearing firefox cookies or history, that could be the reason. This problem continues even if plugins are disabled in Firefox.
*Are you opening multiple instances of Flash Player ?
* Is the problem reproducible ? <br/> for instance does it always crash the plugin or cause it to hang if you use a particular site ?
If you get the FlashPlayer plugin crashing use the option to submit the crash reports, it is then possible to follow them up. It is possible to stop the plugincontainer opening, but that could result in a firefox crash. Of course the firefox crash can also send crash reports out, and that could be useful.

There are some problems with FlashPlayer currently under investigation, and there may be other threads in the forum about problems. (e.g. Bug 561019 - Plugin waveOutOpen hangs )
Sometimes using Firefox 3.6 is a workaround that helps with FlashPlayer problems, if you wish to experiment with that consider installing firefox Portable and using Firefox 3.6.23 (or soon 3.6.24) for tests with flash player, whilst keeping firefox 7 for day to day browsing.
