After downloading the latest IOS 5 the syncing is taking forever..??
after installing my new IOS 5 i have been experiencing a problem in syncing ..... its taking forever to sync..
Is you Gmail an Exchange based one (so it will Push)? Is the other account (smtp is a type of server) an Exchange account? POP or iMAP?

Need help! I have an ipad 2, with the latest ios. the Movies app is not working
Here is the story, I have about 30 movies under the 'movies' app on the i-pad. I added a few more yesterday with itunes from my computer. Since then, when I click on the 'movies' icon on the i-pad, it showing a black screen with the following message: no content. BUT, when i plug the ipad to my computer, itunes is showing me all the movies that are on the i-pad. Question: where have they gone? how can I get them back on the i-pad? Can i reinstall the 'movies' app? it's not avail in the app store.

Ever since I downloaded the latest IOS, as it was just released, I couldn't access iTunes anymore. It would quit unexpectedly using the iTunes plug-in. What should I do?
Thanks ckuan. Forgive me for my ignorance but how can i try without the plug-in when iTunes does not show up in the screen? It just gives a message that iTunes quit unexpectedly. How do I change the settings in iTunes?

After updating to the latest IOS 8 on my ipad / iphone etc I do not have any documents on pages, keynotes etc. I have them on my iphone 5S and I can log in on my pc and see al the documents. I have icloud turned on and idrive.
If I start a new document in pages and then try to share this document with the top ring link in pages "share Link via iCloud" a screen notification tells me to "Set Up iCloud. Go to Settings and select iCloud. Sign in and turn on iCloud Drive for Page".
When I go to settings I see that I am signed in.
Please help as I need the documents back on my ipad.Did you have iCloud photo stream turned on for photos? If you did, then you can view your photos at iCloud.com. If you can verify that they are all there, you can do the factory reset. Once you turn on iCloud again after the reset, the photos won't be on the phone but they will still be in the photo stream which you can view on the device. You should be able to copy the photos down to the computer from iCloud. On an Apple Mac computer, iPhoto can view photo stream and you can download photos there too.
Personally, with syncing issues with iTunes, I prefer to use an app called PhotoSync (which is an app in the App Store, Mac App Store, and available from the developer's website for Windows PC's. This App (once turned on for both devices) lets you send photos back and forth within wifi. -
with the latest IOS 7.0.3 for my iPhone, it no longer syncs with iTunes. I've run the diagnostics for syncing and it says everything is working, which it clearly isn't. Is there anything to be done without restoring iPhone? Thanks
update : so after reading numerous posts, I tried unchecking entire playlist and just tried one of my playlists. That sync seemed to work, so I rechecked entire playlist and did the sync. It worked. Then I went in to my "walk to work" playlist and added some songs to see if it would sync now, and it did!!! so happy now. will see what happens tomorrow.

Since downloading the latest ios my ipad2 asks for a passcode to get in. Since I have never had one I cant give it one and I cant open it up. How do I bypass the this please.
I have seen other users talk about this and make the same claim. Unfortunately, even if you didn't set a passcode, and the iPad is insisting that you did, unless you can successfully guess what the passcode is, you still have to follow these instructions and use one of the methods in here in order to restore your iPad which will then unlock it.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect to your computer & click on the "Update your device using iTunes".
Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. After you update to iOS 5.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

How do I download only selected audiobooks from iTunes to my iPod.? I don't want to download the whole library..i have an iPod classic and Mac laptop with the latest ios.
If you check songs, simply sync the entire library.
But I highly recommend (and it is far simpler) to create a playlist (or multiple playlists) and select only that playlist to sync.
Leave everything checked.
Then simply add/remove from these playlists and sync away. -
I updated my iPhone to iOS 7.0.5 and I lost my messages and camera app and other apps i downloaded from app store. I was having the problem of losing apps since before I updated to the latest IOS. I have tried enable and disable restriction, connecting my phone to my laptop and sync from my computer and none of them is working. What should i do?
Often when this type of thing occurs with missing default apps it is due to a situation where you are unable to 'see' the apps. If you will go to your front display of your device go to settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen layout.
This reset allows for your apps that have for whatever reason been hidden in such an area as you arn't able to find them now to be returned to the area as which they were when you first had the device.
As far as the missing Apps that were purchased through the Apps Store if you will go to settings>itunes and Apps store and click where it reads about automatcally downloading apps clicking on the toggle switch AND clicking on the toggle switch which allows for cellular data to be enabled this then will effectively automatically download all apps to your device that was purchased from the App Store.

After installing the latest ios (6.1.3)
Yesterday I downloaded the latest ios (6.1.3) through Itunes,which was 920 MB,then after the download it sucessfully installed onto the iphone. After everything was done I have almost 1GB less space on my hard drive. Can i delete something to regain the space ? I am new to the iphone and itunes (only had it for 1 month) so I'm still learning how to use things. I do see there is a file on the hard drive under - itunes-iphone software updates-restore.ipsw which is the 920 MB file.
Also if that can be removed, will something not work? Thanks in advance.Just delete it. Once installed you don't need it anymore. If the phone ever needs to be restored (which is very unlikely) iTunes will download it again. Actually, even if its there iTunes will usually download it again.
BTW, if disk space is at a premium and you use the Photos app on the iPhone you can delete the iPhone photo cache from your drive also. -
