What some people don't know is that when Apple released Model MC086LL it was sold as a 8GB 3rd generation unit by some retailers. It really had the same guts as the 2nd generation model MB528LL with upgraded software. ALL 8GB "3rd generation" iPod Touch serial numbers pull up in the apple support system as a 2nd generation unit. 2nd generation units are not able to upgrade to ios5, therefore your last update will be 4.21. -

I started to download the new ios6 software and for some reason something went wrong and i had to reset my phone. I was able to sync my music from itunes back onto the phone, however i have been unable to sync back onto my phone my calendar notes and contacts. how do i get these back? i did not use i-cloud i dont think. please help!
im not sure? do you mean outlook as in outlook express the e-mail program? i just plug it in thats all i know?
When i synced my iphone for the first time, my notes from my ipod synced onto my iphone so they were obviously saved somewhere?

I've downloaded iTunes 10.5 onto my iPod Touch, no problems but I've now got a constant error message on my laptop everytime I switch it on and access the internet. The message is "The procedure entry point xmlTextReaderConstName could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll"
This is the 2nd time this has happened. Last time iTunes Support called and we ran through a load of checks to no avail. The only option was to delete iTunes completely off my laptop and go for a new download of it. Can anybody tell me how to do it - didn't write it down last time, silly me, never thought it would happen again. Also sent an email to iTunes Support - waiting for a response.Maybe:

Try restarting your iPod. Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Apple is having all devices authenticate after the update and since everyone is updating, the authentication servers are being slammed as well. Either wait until tomorrow, or just keep trying.

Hi can anyone help? I have an Iphone 4 which I tried to download ios7 to, but it says on screen, connect to itunes, which I have tried, but it says I need the original cd? I dont recall receiving one, so does this mean the phone has to be reset, if so how?

Not sure if this applies to your region, but in Australia the SIM password is often written on the "credit card" sized plastic card that the SIM was provided to you with the phone by the telco. Do you still have this? It could be in the iPhone box?
