After Effects- Administrator Account

Hi, ive been using AE for quite some time. Ive just installed windows vista 64 and ive started using AE, but the issue is, when i run it as an administrator, the program starts up and then there is a delay in the menus and the whole program is acting very sluggish.
On the other hand, when i DON'T run it as an administrator, the program runs absolutely smoothly, but i get this error at the start up 'Please run this program from the Administrator account so it can set up your license. Once the license is set up, you can run it from any account.' and twice.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I have photoshop and flash running smooth as ever. The only virus scanner/firewall i have installed is Nod32-Eset and of course vistas defender. I have no issues what so ever with any of the other products from adobe. Here's what ive been doing repeatedly over the past days - Uninstalling AE only and reinstalling it, then i even tried uninstalling all adobe products, then reinstalling, thats when i had a good chance of getting AE working properly for a couple of times, then it goes back to its slow, sluggish style.
Ive even go about using the CS3 clean scripts multiple times over the couple of times that ive reinstalled the products again.
What is really annoying is that When i run it as an Administrator, everything works fine, except the sluggish behavior(the main reason of all this trouble), but when i run it without the administrator checked(right clicking>properties>Run as administrator) i get 2 of those errors at the beginning and then i get into the Interface, then the lag is suddenly all gone. Everything is working just GREAT! except when rendering i get those errors every now and then (these errors DO NOT occur when im in administrator mode btw)
Its just a matter of those 5 seconds of lag that really annoys me, everytime i need to insert a solid or even use the short cut key, it has this lag!

After Effects won't update for MAC 10.9.4 even on Root account.

I have previously updated my Mac OS to 10.9.4 and it was only until today that i wanted to use After Effects. I open up After Effects and i get an error, after some googling I am taken to a download page for the After Effects update. I downloaded the update, but when I ran it it said I had insufficient privileges. After a long string of events that involved tricking my computer into thinking it was brand new to make an admin account, i made an admin account and from there got access to the root account. Once on the root account I figured that all permissions would be open, but no, I still get the same error message of, "Please contact your system Administrator if you wish to apply updates on your machine. Updates have been suppressed by your Administrator."
Is there a button I need to press or a command i need to type in the root account that will allow me to update AE? Any help would be much appreciated.

This is not about the administrator for the computer; rather, this is about the administrator of your software licenses. Whoever distributed your Adobe software seems to have chosen the option in that distribution to disable updates. You'll need to talk with them.

Unable to log into administrator account after software update

I've done a clean installation of server 10.5 on a G5 Xserve using the simplified "workgroup" setting. Created a named administrator account as part of the setup. Once passed the initial setup screens I did a software update to 10.5.8. After reboot I'm locked out of the named administrator account. I can still log in as root and localadmin using the same password. However, I don't see any accounts listed under the Users tab in Server Preferences. I've done nothing to this system other than answer a few standard questions during install and then update software.
This result is repeatable as I tried simply reinstalling the server OS figuring I must have done something wrong the first time. In fact the reason I'm reinstalling in the first place is related to this problem. Something caused all my admin and user accounts to go away on the original server setup. Couldn't figure it out so I decided to do a fresh install. I realize now it was likely related to a software update.
When logged in as root and using Console I see errors like "'No LDAP Master' while processing a command of type: 'readSettings' in plug-in: 'servermgr_accounts'". I'm a newbie to the server world and I'm not sure what that means.
There should be nothing remotely fancy going on here. Simply a stand alone server getting a fixed IP from a router. A single admin account, no directory services. Before the software update everything seemed fine.
Any help would be appreciated.

Verify if you have in /Users/xyz : your admin home folder
if yes, create a new user with : Preference System, Account, create new user
set as Administrator, give same name as your /Users/xyz home folder
then click OK, a message will appeart that the folder exist, click YES.

After enabling the Built-in Administrator account, it is not shown on Welcome screen

I have Windows 7 Starter SP1.
I have previously successfully enabled and then logged on, to the built-in administrator account, and then when I had finished using it, disabled it again.
Unfortunately today, I found that when I enabled the built-in administrator account, it no longer appears on the Welcome screen.
I went through the process of enabling it by doing:
Start/Search "CMD"/right-click CMD/Run as administrator.
net user administrator active:yes
It confirms: "The command completed successfully."
However, when I log off and log back on (or do shut down and restart), the Welcome screen does not display any option for the Built-in Administrator account.
I have also tried doing the above in Safe mode, and also using Command Prompt from a Rescue disk.
As background information:
The reason why I wanted to access this account today, was because I attempted to defrag a partition listed as "(1% fragmented)" and after Defrag appeared to complete while at "Pass 2", the partition is still shown as 1% fragmented.
I would appreciate advice how to resolve the issue with the built-in administrator account.

Thank you for your response. I have not yet had an opportunity to look into what you have written but wish to thank you for that information.
Meanwhile, I would like to discuss the possible cause for this issue. I know the date when I last successfully accessed the built-in Administrator account, which was April 18, 2012.
Since I was last able to use that account on April 18, 2012, I have made no changes to the system other than install all Important Microsoft Updates through Windows Update.
A full scan with Windows Defender finds no threats.
A full scan with Avast finds no threats.
I beleive Microsoft may wish to ensure that this issue has not been caused by any of the following 30 updates. If it has been caused by one of these updates, then Microsoft should consider issuing a further update to correct this.

After Effects CC "Updates could not be applied, Updates have been suppressed by the administrator"

I am the administrator of this machine with complete and full access.
Situation:
I tried to open After Effects and received this notification:
I then proceeded to uninstall AE CC and reinstall using the Adobe CC Desktop App.
Upon trying to reopen AE, I received the same message.
I then started googling to troubleshoot and came upon this update:

Downloaded and proceeded to install which then brought up this issue:
Which then lead me to doing more troubleshooting via google. I found this solution:

which suggests that I:
Delete or rename the <Startup Disk>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory/1.0/AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat
NOTE: The file path works up until you get to the folder AAMUpdaterInventory. The folder is wrong. It is AAMUpdater (at least on my mac).
None the less, I proceed and delete the file.
I try reinstalling:
Adobe After Effects CC (12.2.1) update
And get the same message as before (shown above)
I RETRY the same solution but this time rename it. Same resulting error.

Terminal can't find the files (for either spellings of AAMUpdaterInventory / AAMUpdater).
Further troubleshooting and I follow this solution:

I uninstall and reinstall the Adobe CC desktop app.
Run the program. Doesn't work.

I contact Adobe Customer Support. I end up in a screen share with some Adobe representative with his previous customers computer screen still open in the screen share program, basically showing me everything on her computer... and the agent sits there pretty much helpless blaming her for 15 minutes. Clearly helpful. (breach of security?)
I have literally tried every avenue of troubleshooting to resolve this and it's beginning to seem hopeless.

I have an Imac running OS10.6.8.

Administrator Account Disabled after sysprep and capture task sequence in MDT 2010

We are currently migrating from Windows XP to windows 7. As part of our migration we have 5 base Images (for different areas of the business)
Here is what we are doing:
Create a reference machine with the source files for windows 7 Pro x86
Install applications as part of the Task sequence to build a reference machine.
Make the updates to the machine - required for the build.
Run the Sysprep and capture template to take the capture of the Reference machine.
Import the Capture into the Operating system folder within MDT2010
Create a task sequecne to deploy the image.
Deploy the Image for Testing.
Deploy the image to a machine
Update the machine with the defects
Re Capture the deployed machine and call it ver2.wim
re deploy ver2.wim
Testers test
Defects logged + additional user settings to be captured in the build
Re capture and sysprep runs says the capture has been succesful however after a reboot the administrator account is disabled.
We cant seem to capture anything from here on in. Nothing has been changed in the unattend.
Autologon is set to enable the administrator account and the password is set to blank as this is then handled by policy when the machine is joined to the domain - we have not enabled the unattended join to the domain at this point in time but it will be
for deploying the image.
Have we got our image strategy wrong? does the same rule apply about sysprep running more than 3 times on a single machine if it is captured and redeployed after a sucessfully sysprep to the same hardware or even different hardware.

    One of the things Sysprep/WAIK do is disable the adminsitrator account.
    You mentioned that you are setting the autologing to the administrator account and that you are setting it with a blank password, you can add a simple command in to sysprep's xml to reenable the account:

If you machine does not meet the system requirements for any applications, those applications will not be listed for installation.

That's okay , besides I got nothing to do lol hehehe atleast I can make myself useful for someone else hehe
1)Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and look for file named hosts inside etc folder.
2)Copy the hosts file to Desktop and open the same with notepad.
Check with the hosts file entries , let me know if there are any Adobe entries like 127.0.01 xxx.,adobe.com .activate.adobe.com....etc?
If there are no Adobe entries in Hosts file .
If you wish , you may uinstall and reinstall the app .
You may try below steps :
Open Control Panel and Navigate to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features .
Under Program and Features list, locate Adobe Creative Cloud and uninstall it.
End all Adobe related Tasks from Task Manager.
Open C:drive and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and delete folders named Adobe Application Manager and OOBE.
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and if present delete Adobe Creative Cloud folder.
Press Windows button (located between Ctrl and Alt buttons) along with R button together at a time , you will get a run command window.
Type in below command and hit 'Enter' key.
appdata
Then navigate to Local>Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and delete folders named AAMUpdater and OOBE.
Click on the below link and download Creative Cloud setup file and use the same to install the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

Cannot create Administrator Account after Installation

Hi,
I would like to have the server assistant of OS X Server 10.6 to configure the whole server for my needs. Unfortunately this didn't work, even after the 5th trial.
Here is what I did:
- Local Installation via original DVD
- Configuration windows (server assistant) populated with my needs.
I get an error message, telling me that the keychain for the administrator account could not be created. The process brakes and the server won't be configured. This error happend twice.
I have no option but to install the whole server software again. I could not find out how to restart the configuration / setup again from scratch WITHOUT having to install the whole system again.
However, after the broken configuration procedure I get a blank login window. I found out that the system root account exists but NOT the administrator I wanted to create. What I can do is: reboot from the install DVD and reset the system root password. I can, then, log in as system root and get a desktop.
But I still don't have any more users and - even worse - the server is not configured.
I really don't want to configure every setting on my own due to a serious lack of basic knowledge.
Is there any way to have the setup assistant getting to work? Can I "restart" the configuration process without installing the whole system again?

I had this same problem. I experienced it first on a Mac Mini, not my Xserve, when I was doing a test install as recounted below. I was able to recreate the problem even.
I discovered that for me the problem only occurs if I chose during setup to import groups and users from an already existing Open Directory. If I skip this step everything works fine, and I can manually import users and groups by exporting them from OD on my Xserve and manually importing them via the exported files.
So here is the setup:
1.) During the fresh install on the Mac Mini I created the user with my short id of pope.
2.) When asked if I wanted to import OD users and groups, I did and I imported them by having it connect to my X-Serve (10.5.8)
3.) The installer runs in to keychain problems and eventually you end up with a blue screen and then the login screen
4.) At this point no usernames or passwords work
If I skip step 2, 3 and 4 never happen.
I thought maybe there was a conflict between my local shortname and a shortname in the OD that I attempted to pull from. I checked though and no conflict exists.
Here is a more detailed account:
I set my name, shortname, and password and continued on. Towards the end of installation I imported the users and groups from my 10.5 server and continued to setup services.
Eventually a screen popped up saying that there was no keychain for my user. It offered to reset the keychain, but it wouldn't accept my password. After a handful of tries the screen turned blue and after a long while the system came back up, but this time to the normal login screen.
And at the login screen the account I setup doesn't work. I'd reset the password via the booting from the setup disc, but I'm sure Snow Leopard just decapitated itself.
I'm going to reinstall from scratch because I have the aching feeling that when it went haywire it probably !@#$% any services since it decided to commit suicide.

We were told we could install after effects and photoshop at home, from a work account. What is the procedure. Does it matter if work is Windows and home is a Mac

We cannot know. If this is referring to some volume license, you better talk to your IT department how licensing and serial numbers need to be handled. the rest is just a standard install. and yes, depending on the serial, it makes a difference if you are on a Mac or Windows.

After power down and a cold restart, I automatically restart in my Administrator Account. Running 10.8.4 with one Administrator account, one user account and one guest account. Recently downloaded and installed 3rd party software (Panorama).

Recently downloaded and installed 3rd party software (Panorama). Installation required that I create a super user named Other with root privileges. I did so and successfully installed the 3rd party software. I powered down a few days late and when I restarted, I went automatically to my Administrator account with no login password required. I deleted the Other account, powered down and restarted with the same result - opened in Administrator. I then followed the steps to disable root user, powered down, cold restart - same result, opened in Administrator account.
Any suggestions? Any thoughts? Much appreciate any help you might offer.

Disable automatic login. Open System Preferences > Users and Groups > Login Options, press the padlock at the bottom left corner, and select "Off" next to "Automatic login"

Adobe After effects CS3 Administrative Install point

Is it possible to do this with Adobe After Effects cs3. I would like to deploy after effects BUT with the updates included?. If an administrative install is not possible, my next question is this. Can the updates for Adobe After effects cs3 be scripted to install silentlt after the program has been deployed
