After Effects: AEGP Plugin TIFFIO: UnExpected End of File (5027 :: 12)

I have a clown render for an animation I am working on (the content is not important). When I duplicate the first layer, flip it horizontally there are no problems when I run a RAM preview. But when I time reverse the layer I get this error message "After Effects: AEGP Plugin TIFFIO: UnExpected End of File (5027 :: 12)". Now in the past this meant that some of the tiff. renders had been corrupted due to copying and pasting the still frames into another folder using windows explorer. So to fix the issue I would simply re-render the still frames to the proper folder which meant I no longer needed to copy and paste the still .tiff files. But now whats different this time is that the error message only pops up when I use the "Layer, Time, Time-Reverse Layer".
This should work. I have done this exact animation at a smaller resolution (800x800). The only difference is now I have re-rendered the same footage at a higher resolution (1424x1424).
Anyone know what causes this issue?

It might be just one file in the sequence that's flakey and it only shows up with reversal, because you may never have actually sampled the frame in normal mode. This might also have shown up during render only, e.g. when rendering with fields would have sampled the frames at a different time. I'd re-check your sequence. As ´TimeRemapper said, it may also be an issue with teh options you chose for saving the TIFFs. In that case running it through an image viewer/converter like XnView or Maya's fcheck utilty might fix the problems...

Determining frame requested by After Effect (AEGP Plugin)

Hi,
I am writing Source Generator(AEIO)(File Importer) plugin for Adobe After Effect.
Frames from file are to provided in AEIO_DrawSparseFrame callback.
But AEIO_DrawSparseFrame does not tell which frame it wants.
Also if we treat tr as current frame time in AEIO_DrawSparseFramePB structure, then also there are no consecutive calls to frame time when we render (i.e there are calls to frame number 0,2,4...).
Does anyone has any idea to determine the frame number required by After Effect and in consecutive sequence (i.e 0,1,2,3 ...).

Huh? What are the comp settings? They must be 720x480 for NTSC or 720x576 for PAL with teh respective correct pixel aspect ratios. Also make sure to disable/enable audio as needed in bothe the main Output Module settings >>>and<<< the MPEG-II exporter (just in case this will be the next error that pops up.

Im running 10.10, Mac OSX, it was running fine before a minor update came out, and now I can not open AE CS6. I have uninstalled, reinstalled it, installed the trial of CC 2014. No messages beside "After Effects can’t continue: unexpected failure during application startup" come up.

Well, looks like a bug in Yosemite. You might wanan read the pertinent announcements, anyway. At this point Adobe apps are not compatible with OSX 10.10.

Why does "Adobe After Effects CC 2014 Quit Unexpectedly" on launch?

I'm currently on a 2012 MacPro OS X 10.9.5 with 2x2.66 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon Processor, 24 GB DDR3.
I uninstalled CS5 in order to download and install Adobe's Creative Cloud suite. I was able to get Photoshop up and running, but I cannot get After Effects to run. Every time I try to open it, I get the message:
"Adobe After Effects CC 2014 quit unexpectedly." So, I uninstalled it, and tried re-downloading it and restarting my machine. Same result.
So, please take a look at my Problem Report below and let me know if you can see any possible solution to this problem. Thanks for any possible help!

Am I missing something here? Why is this process so complicated? I need to get this resolved asap and start working.

I originally had Adobe Photoshop Extended, then upgraded to the Production Suite. I ran the Adobe Cleaner, and that uninstalled most Adobe products, including my existing Adobe install, and then I re-installed everything with the same error code. Since CS4 came with CS5, I've installed AE CS4, but would really like to upgrade because I'm new to Creative Suite, and not sure how CS4 integrates with CS5...CS4 After Effects installed perfectly. I do have a 64 bit system, and installing to an OCZ Vertex 2....every other suite installs perfectly, except AE. And I think that is the coolest program in the Suite. I thank you all so much for taking the time to help, I really want to get AECS5 running...I did try to install after doing the recommended items Adobe suggests for Exit Codes 6 and 7, including turning off many startups...

We cannot know. You are not telling us anything about your system. This error usually occurs due to running out of temporary disk space in the relevant folders. Check this:

Hi, i have a problem with registration plugin with strange error "Unexpected end of file from server"
All resolves perfectly for both sides.I add lines with vCenter into /etc/hosts and to vCenter %windir%/system32/././hosts.
Test from Support Assistant, ip of vCenter was masked:

"unexpected end of file" error on files after import.

recently i have been getting errors on import to lightroom, some times its colored dots or lines, some times the image looks fine but shows "unexpected end of file" or "lightroom has encountered an error reading file".
I have been trying to rule things out like cards by switching camera cards ect. If the file comes up bad i will delete it from disk and re-insert the sd card find the file and drag it to the folder on my drive and re import. so far this fixes it every time proving the the camera and card are fine, somewhere in the import process its going bad.
any suggestions on some more troubleshooting.?

i will try to usb the camera and import that way next time for a few files to try that. (never tired it on a mac) will also look this week for an external reader. If my macbook sd reader turns out to be flakey and was the issue the whole time im going to be very anoyed. I just bought a new lacie raid thunderbolt drive.

I've tried contacting Adobe chat support a day ago with no luck and no answers for this.
I have a workstation at work that is working just fine. My home workstation is what is giving me this error.
Home workstation specs: i5 cpu, 16gb ram, nvidia quadro k620
The suggestion from Adobe chat support was to uninstall After Effects and re-install. This did not help.
Steps to create:
1. Create new AE project
2. Create new Comp
3. Add new Cinema 4d layer
4. Name and save Cinema file
5. AE hangs for a minute or two then throws this error:
AEGP plugin CINEWARE SceneLayer: CINERENDER - connection failure
5027 :: 12
I see someone else had this identical problem but no where in the thread does anyone give a clue what solved it?
Any ideas from you folks on what I should/could do to fix this?

I can't actually get the Chinaware Effect/Plugin to launch at all in AE so I can't get to the Options settings.
I'm now running on another machine and I'm worried the same problem will occur on that mac too.
Can anybody tell me which other Port Options I can use in this event? I'm clueless when it comes to this sort of issue.

CS5.1 Camera Raw Unexpected end of file error

I ran into this error a couple of times (the problem would not resolve for these few affected photos) when editing my raw files in my CS5.1 trial.
"Could not complete your request because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered."
I could not get around opening these particular raw files and have come to the theory that these files are corrupted due to the limitations in SD card write speeds. I never had this problem on my D80 when working in CS4 or CS5, but then again the D80 doesnt shoot 20Mb raw files. My D7000 shoots continuous 6fps I'm shooting large, fine JPEG + RAW which pumps out around 25 Mb per photo. At 6fps this is somewhere around 150 Mb/s... My SD Card is a Sandisk 8gb extreme class 6 which has a rated write speed of 22Mb/s but its been a while since I've seen the documented number.
I took one of these raw files and opened it with Photomatix 3 (HDR Software) to create a Psuedo HDR file. The product was obviously corrupted.
Anyone care to comment on other culprits and solutions?

Files DO get corrupted, often by flash memory errors, sometimes by transfer problems. Revisit all the steps in your process and maybe try transferring the files to your computer differently (e.g., use a flash card reader instead of the camera cable and see if there's a difference in the files).
One thing that almost universally ISN'T necessary to worry about is that your flash memory could be corrupted if you take photos too quickly. CF write speed bottlenecks are dealt with properly by all the camera makers, generally by slowing down the picture-taking process when the camera's RAM buffers fill. You DO have to remember not to cut power to the camera while it is still writing to the flash memory, however, which can take some time after you finish shooting.
You should reformat your flash card in your camera, and personally I would treat that particular card as suspect until you prove that it can be filled and every image is complete and uncorrupted. You might even want to fill it with "junk" shots just to test it.

I've been working on a motion file in photoshop for my thesis and i tried opeining it today and it wont let me open the file. it says "could not complete your request because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered".
I've saved the file every 5 minutes or whenever I do work but now i cant even open it at all. I NEED HEEEEEELP PLEASE!

If it is in the forums (and actually, all over the place on the web) and it is a Photoshop issue in both Windows and Mac, I just assumed is.
The unexpected eof could be a hardware issue or possibly owed to individual set-ups as it is not an issue that plagues all (or even an ostensible majority of) users.
Boilerplate-text:
Are Photoshop and OS fully updated?
As with all unexplainable Photoshop-problems you might try trashing the prefs (after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved and making a note of the Preferences you’ve changed) by pressing command-alt-shift on starting the program or starting from a new user-account.
System Maintenance (repairing permissions, purging PRAM, running cron-scripts, cleaning caches, etc.) might also be beneficial, Onyx has been recommended for such tasks.

Weeding out bad fonts never seems to be a bad idea, either. (Validate your fonts in Font Book and remove the bad ones.)
If 3rd party plug-ins are installed try disabling them to verify if one of those may be responsible for the problem.

There was an unexpected end of file error

I am currently using DNG Converter 8.1 and converting NEF files from a Nikon D600.
Occacionally I get an error message on some of the files.
"The was an unexpected end of file error" It only happens on some of the ffiles but I can not figure out what is wrong or how to fix the problem.

Unexpected end of file message in Appleworks 6.2.9

I have an iMac that is getting the message unexpected end of file when I try to open Appleworks files. The user seems to be having alot of problems with Appleworks and I guess is closing out of Appleworks or it is crashing. Then when she tries to open the file she was working on, she gets the unexpected end of file message and the file will never open. I've tried running the file through the Appleworks Database Repair Utility, but it doesn't make any difference. This has happened to numerous different files, although if you create a new file the program still works. Has anyone come across this on OS 10.4.11? I've already reloaded her computer from scratch and 6.2.9 version of Appleworks seems to be the latest. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could not initialize Photoshop because an unexpected end-of-file was encountred.

I have a problem with Photoshop, I can run it and work in it. After the start of reports this error message: Could not initialize Photoshop because an unexpected end-of-file was encountred.
I do not know we mopped PC, defragment, and uninstall of Photoshop installed. You do not know what to do?

Try resetting your preferences. If that doesn't work, consider a complete uninstall and reinstall.

CR 6.7 gives "unexpected end of file in clipboard" error

When I first installed CR67 RC1 it worked fine. After restarting Photoshop and Bridge, I then got an "unexpected end of file encountered" popup whenever Photoshop CS5.1 tried to open a file. Bridge seemed to work fine, though. Very strange.
I then logged into another account on the same machine and CR67 and Photoshop worked fine. After logging out of the first account and logging back in, CR67 RC1 started working fine in this original account that I had been using. Plus, as a bonus, CR67 RC1 no longer displays the initial popup about how this is an RC.
Overall, I wish I could uninstall CR67 RC1, anyone know how?
