After Effects CC 2014 Trial Closing Immediately After Launch
Basically, I downloaded the trial for both after effects cc (2014) and media encoder cc (2014) but when the installation is finished, I open after effects cc 2014 and literally as soon as it loads up, it closes, and is not a running process anymore in the task manager...
Someone please help!!
GUYS I HAVE FOUND A FIX..... firstly, open the after effects cc render engine found at:
C:\Users\"user"\Desktop\Adobe After Effects CC 2014
and open the after effects render engine. If this does not open due to an error, close it, go to:
C:\Users\"user"\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\After Effects\13.1
and delete the file "Adobe After Effects 13.1 Win en_US Shortcuts" then, run the render engine again. Then, once the render engine opens successfully, you can now open after effects cc 2014 successfully.

No Audio After Effects CC 2014 Trial
Hi there,
I am a neeeewbie so please forgive my lack of knowledge of jargon etc!
I have trailed after effects before, and just updated to a new trial before looking at purchasing.
I had an old composition from an older trial that I have now opened in the new After Effects CC 2014. Annnd no audio. On anything. My sound effects, my vids, nadda. All MP3 format, all worked in previous After Effects with no issues.
Tried to create a new composition with a completely different audio file and just no audio during RAM preview at all.
Any suggestions or advice?Oh dear

At the very least, at least give the exact version number for your operating system, the exact version number of After Effects, and details of your graphics card and its drivers. -
After Effects CC 2014 takes 10 minutes to launch
So, I downloaded and installed the CC 2014 updates. And, it's been a debacle. Both After Effects and Premiere take well over 10 minutes just to launch. When AE CC 2014 finally does open, I receive the following error message: "QuickTime is not installed on this system, some components will not work correctly." That makes no sense, as Quicktime is installed on my system, and of course, AE CC still works fine. The issue is with AE CC 2014. I tried to troubleshoot the error using this page http://blogs.adobe.com/aftereffects/2011/02/troubleshooting-quicktime-errors-with-after-ef fects.html But, that didn't help either. Not sure how AE CC 2014 can be so broken, especially because CC works fine.
Are you using Mac OSX v10.9? I've noticed that Mac OSX v10.9 incorrectly sets the permissions for the preferences folders, which prevents some files from being written, causing problems like this.
Got to the preferences folder and make sure that this entire folder and all of its contents are set to read/write, not just read-only:
<drive>/Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/13.0 -

I tried 'fixing permissions problem that impedes start of Adobe applications | After Effects region of interest ' and restart the laptop, but it didn't work.

CC 2014 trial expired on first launch!
I had a recent email that told me that my trial period would be reset for CC 2014.
However, after downloading and running the apps, none will launch as CC thinks my trial period has expired. What did I do wrong?Were you trying products that were covered by the trial reset? (not all programs were reset)

Remote app closing immediately upon launch
Apple Remote app launches on my ipad and then immediately closes. This has just started happening. I've not updated any OS. I've tried uninstalling and then reinstalling. No love. Any suggestions? Currently running 7.0.6. Thanks

Trial After Effects CC 2014 closes after startup
I've just installed trial version of After Effects CC 2014 (13.0.2). But there is no way to actually TRY IT, because it closes right after it starts, and all I see is this:
Button "Continue Trial" doesn't do anything but closing it's own window.
Is there a way to run AE?
PS: Windows 7 x64Without exact system info and possibly crash logs nobody can say anything. Could be the licensing system acting up, could be a hard program crash due to insufficient resources and your system not meeting the requirements.

CC 2014 trial. MPEG MOVIE clips flickering on my time line! after render, and after export. tried all kinds of sequence settings,taking out transitions and effects ,even the audio tracks.....still flickering. They play fine outa the project files!? HELLLLLPPPPP!!!!
We can not see your computer, your settings or even know what your source files are because we are not in the same room as you are!
We cant see what you are doing wrong ...so you will have to tell us a lot more and show us some screen grabs of your settings. -
After Effects CC 2014 crashing on startup
I downloaded the trial version of After Effects. By downloading it, it activated a 30-day trial. However, every time I try to start up the program, it gives me an error and crashes. I read on the forums issues about fonts and OpenGL, but it doesn't even give me detailed information on the crash. Anybody able to give me a bit of an assist on this? I use Adobe Design and Web Premium CS6 on my PC. I primarily use Sony Vegas for my video work, however I was sent a file on AE and rather than get in contact with the client to have them resend it in .veg, I figured I could download the trial and open it there. No such luck. I've finished the work, but now this AE issue is just bugging me. I am interested in trying it, but if I can't get into the trial, it really curbs my interest in the program.
What exact version of After Effects? Include the minor version number---e.g., After Effects CC (12.2.1) or After Effects CS6 (11.0.4). Do not just say "After Effects with the latest updates" or "After Effects CC"; give the specific version number.
After Effects CC 2014.2 (13.2) (Creative Cloud says it is up to date, so I'm assuming it is 13.2)

N/ADo you have Service Pack 1 for Windows 7? It's listed in the system requirements for CC 2014. If you don't have SP1, AE won't run.
That GPU sniffer error message is usually what happens. This should be a simple fix! Of course, you should always take the normal precautions when updating an OS, but still... -
After Effects CC 2014 initializing Media core
Hello Everyone,
So for about the past month or so, After Effects CC 2014 hasn't been opening for me. Every time I open the program, it gets stuck on initializing Mediacor and then proceeds to crash. I have been told that it is a misplaced file during installation, but everything is where it should be. Alo, I'm using Lenovo Y50-90 Gaming Laptop with an Intel Core i7 4700HQ processor and my graphics card is a NVIDIA Geforce GTX 860M 2GB.I am also using Window's 8. Any and all help will be immediately grateful.

After effects cc 2014 crashes at start
i downloaded the free trial of after effects cc 2014 and when i start it it gives me this error
it says "error, last message recorded"
"unable to continue, after effects has been an unexpectedly shut down"
since it may be related with the gpu i have a gtx 970 asus strix. From another pc with the same specs i can run it flawlesslyNobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details like the actual system crash log, not this meaningless Adobe stuff.

After Effects CC (2014) Error "I need some serious help right now!"
I wanted to create a Superman opening title sequence from After Effects CC (2014). So, I decided to download it from Creative Cloud and put the new "amtlib.framework" file on package contents in the "Framework" folder. I open the application and I get this error.
Then, this other error popped up.
That's where I'm at right now. So, a few questions come to mind.
1. Should I open it in trial mode and quit out of it and then add the "amtlib.framework" file to "Framework" or will it just open and give me the same errors?
2. Do I have to turn off my Wi-Fi and then open the application?
3. Do I have to get the updates first?
Anyone who knows what to do with this issue, I would appreciate it. Don't give me BS answers and don't tell me that I have to update from Mavericks to Yosemite, because I have no interest in Yosemite.
Before I forget, here's info on my MacBook for those wondering.
This is an old laptop I had in the last week of January of 2011. I upgraded it to OS X Lion to Mavericks on 2014. I'm still on Mavericks.

Yes, it is. And with an unsuitable processor and insufficient graphics memory at that. This will never work. You can only download an older version of AE as a trial.

Why is RAM preview crashing my After Effects CC 2014?

I'm getting numerous crashes when using the RAM Preview.
Until my current project started getting more complicated all was good - no crashes. As I've added more assets to it, it's become very unstable.
When I click the RAM Preview button it'll either crash immediately, or succeed. If it actually starts, it's fine. But more often than not it just crashes the whole program immediately.
How do I solve this?
Is there a checklist I can use to check for possible issues?Right, right. Vague info I know, but I was hoping for a checklist of common culprits I could eliminate one by one. Very new to the world of video.
I'm running:
Windows 7 x64
Intel i7-3770K CPU @ 3.5GHz
32GB RAM
GeForce GTX 780
Doing a 720p project, but using mainly 1080p footage.
Video files used are .MP4 and .MTS format.
Using various effects. Mostly simple stuff.
Plenty of sound effects and music as well. All .WAV format. No MP3's (I heard AE hates MP3 format).
I don't get any crash info. The entire program freezes until I kill it manually.
