After Effects CS4 problem (and Premiere Pro CS4)

For the past two days I've had trouble starting my Adobe software. (AE and PP)
I've suddenly gotten this:
I've had this software for a year or two with no issues whatsoever. I have not put in my serial for fear it's a virus.
Things I've done to try to fix this:
Restart the computer (many times)
Run AVG scanning over the entire computer (done multiple times)
Run CCleaner to check for any issues and cleaning (done multiple times)
Restored the computer back a few weeks ago when I knew the software was working. First few times I did this, it would just restart, and say it couldn't restore because a process was stopping it from running. Ended up restoring it in safe-mode sucessfully.
Check for any weird processes on my computer. Nothing strange.
Any ideas where to go from here?

You should receive the dialog if you are running in trial mode each time you launch the application. Also looking at this thread it appears you used a registry cleaner and then a restore point but I don't see that you have tried reinstalling the software? Have you tried removing and reinstalling the software?
Also as a tip before using any type of registry cleaner I would recommend always going into Regedit and backing up your registry. This way if the registry cleaner does do damage you can restore the damage which was done.

I have 64 bit windows 7 and CS4 Production Premium. I have a problem with Premiere Pro CS4, it keeps freezing and Crashing. You haven't given us much to go on here. What exactly are you doing and what exactly happens when you try? Which specific version of each program are you using? (Go to Help>About...)
On a side note, a simple, brief thread title is all that's needed. Something like "After Effects Issue" would be fine. You don't need the full question there.

Use After Effects and Premiere Pro CS4 with Creative Cloud license

I have a one-year license for Creative Cloud, but because I have a 32-bit version of Windows 7, I can't use After Effects and Premiere Pro. On the website I read that for users with a 32bit OS it is possible to use AE and PP CS4 with the CC license. But I can't find a way to download CS4 with my Creative Cloud account. Can anybody help me with this? Is it possible to download CS4 with a CC license?

I have marked the remark in red. It says: "If you want to use the Windows XP supported After Effects or Adobe Premiere Pro, you have to download the CS-4-versions of the software with your Creative Cloud Membership. U can also use these versions with a 32-bit Windows Operating System."

Topaz Enhance and premiere pro cs4

Does topaz enhance work with premiere pro cs4? how good is it? im interested in upscaling som of my dvds using premiere and topaz - has anyone any experience with this?
i have both after effects and ppro cs4. ive installed topaz and i can load it in AE but its not showing up in premiere. probably because i installed topaz to the AE directory. how would i get it to work with both applications? I tried copying the folder from the after effects plugins to the premiere plugins folder but it didnt work.

though the website clearly said that it works with premiere too. it just said premiere cs3 and above though. just wanted to be sure...

Problem loading premiere pro cs4

Hello everyone,
I've been trying to open premiere pro cs4 and everytime it gets to "Loading AAF.prm" it unexpectedly quits.I was able to open it before, but recently, I've been getting this problem. Has anyone encountered this problem? Do I have to uninstall the program and reinstall to fix the problem?

Actually, partitions present themselves to the OS as physical HDD's, and the OS cannot understand why it's taking so long to get reads/writes. They are hold-overs from OS's many generations back. Other than some esoteric backup schemes, there is no reason to utilize them A program, like Partition Magic, will help rid your system of those.
I do agree that a minimum of 3 fast HDD's is the minimum for Video editing. More, properly allocated, will be better.
Now, with 6x HDD's, I have many Projects with a lot more Clips, and no issues.

Hi i need help i use Premiere Pro CS4 with Black Magic Intensity Pro and Panasonic AG-HMC74ER europian version.All is working fine but a have a problem when importing an MPG2 files because my Panasonic AG-HMC74ER recording on SD card and with software who come with Panasonic AG-HMC74ER i copy and convert files.I,ts show me unsuported or corupted file and i tray to import on Premiere Pro 2.0 its working fine. The trial does not support HDV, or any MPEG format for that matter. So you have to use the in-camera downrez to SD function in order to capture in a standard DV project. Whether you shot in 24F is not relevant, your tape was still recording and running at 60 Hz, so choose a 29.97 DV format.

How do I relink after effects compositions to my premiere pro sequence?

I've re-installed the latest Premiere Pro CC and After Effects CC programs and opened a project I have recently been working on. Now each linked composition is offline and when I use 'Link Media' it won't respond to me clicking on the appropriate AE file.
'Adobe Dynamic Link' in the file menu is grayed out as well as 'Edit Original' and 'Replace With After Effects Composition' in the clip right-click menu
I have a full membership of adobe suite CC and have updated to the latest versions of both Creative Cloud, Premiere Pro and After Effects
I've tried uninstalling then re-installing; signing out then signing back in. All attempts to google the issue have lead to nothing.
Really hope its something very simple that I'm missing, please help

sounds like premiere thinks AE is not installed. im not sure what premiere looks at to figure that out and enable AE options, perhaps someone else, or adobe staff knows what setting to change to fix this. otherwise you may have to try to uninstall, use the cleaner tool to clean out any left over parts of the program left behind, then reinstall. I am trying to export an AE CC comp into a Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2014) video project. I can not drage it from AE to Premier Pro. Is there a problem with the dynamic link between these two applications?

Dynamic Link only works between After Effects and Premiere Pro if the applications are of the same version---i.e., both CC 2014 versions.

Playback stops after a few seconds in Premiere Pro CS4

I have Adobe Production Premium CS4 for mac and I am having trouble with premiere. Every time, no matter what I do in the preview window or the timeline, if i hit play, the video plays for about 20 frames and the curser jumps back to where it started i think i've tried every setting possible. I do also have Final Cut installed if that makes a difference but it shouldn't. I previously used CS4 as well as older versions of premiere pro on PC and I did not have any problems. I incase you need my specs, im running a 2.8 GHz Macbook Pro with 4 gb of ram & OS10.6.3 Any help as to how i can fix this would be greatly appreciated!

Wow, thanks for the quick response.I thought that this post (being over a year old) might not get one. I'll try to be a specific as I can. I'm a teacher at an international school Thailand, and we just opened a new Mac lab for video editing. Last year I was using PCs. We have about 27 user license for premier cs4 and 5 license for cs5. The machines are all new imacs, and they are running OSX 10.6.8. The graphics are 32bit. The processor is intel core i5. Memory is 8 gigs of ram. We've been doing basic editing projects using imovie, but now I need them to learn higher end software with layers and more specific controls. The source files come from all different types of cameras. Most of them are imported .mov files. I had so many problems with premiere cs4 on our PCs that I almost quit using it all together. It was usually codec issues because of all the different file types I need it to handle. Every student has different cameras so we get a lot of different file types. On the Mac the specific thing I was was working with was a clip created from one of my students imovie projects. The frame rate is 29.7 it was rendered with quicktime so it is a .mov file. It is only 2 minutes long. I changed the sequence settings to about 10 times and got the same result. It plays when scrubbing, but just like in the original post, when you try to use the playback feature it will only play about 20 frames and then jump back to where it started. I was using premiere cs5.0.0 but my student who showed me the problem was using cs4.0.0. I don't have this problem in imovie or final cut pro. I really need to be able to use premiere because we don't have enough user license of final cut pro, and imovie isn't powerful enough for our next set of projects. I don't have administrative rights on our machines, but our tech staff can help me if there is something that needs to be changed. Any help or suggestions is greatly apprecieated.

Placing After Effects CC files into Premiere Pro CC

Hey all,
I noticed after upgrading to CC products and Mac OS 10.9 that all After Effects files, very simple text animation, placed into Premiere Pro come in "RED" to render. I could swear they were "YELLOW" or less to render before. Has anyone else experienced this? Then when I render them, at times, it takes forever to render. With my system below I should have no problem with this. Let me know if i'm wrong.
In PP cc my "Optimized Rendering for" is set to: Performance. I'm not sure I have noticed a difference when it has been set to "Memory."
Also, my start up drive is a PCIe SSD (500gb Mercury Accelsior from OWC) - has anyone else done this? I'm not positive it's the best thing to do - wondering other's opinions.
My System:
Mac Pro 5,1 - 2 x 2.93 GHx 6-core - OSX 10.9 - 64GB Ram - Nvidia K5000 video card

But now it is suddenly impossible to select > export > OMF
Do you know why this is?

After Effects Rendering Problem and RAM Preview Problem

I posted a question about this yesterday but I thought I would repost it with more detail!
I have a restless issue here with rendering and RAM preview. I am simply trying to create a viral ad which uses the cloning effect I achieved with masking for my college coursework and I have completed the process of creation but I have ran into problems. The RAM preview will only play up to a certain point then it will just stop and this effects the final render because it gets to the point in the rendering where the RAM preview stops and then a message will pop up saying the rendering has failed or something? (Screenshots Below)
I have tried RAM previewing just one of the three videos I am using and it still stops at the same point.
I am using .avi files and have tried converting to .mov, .mp4, .wmv all of which didn't work.
I am using After Effects CS4 ver 9.0.0.346
My computer specs
AMD SEMPRON processor 2.7Ghz (single core)
2GB RAM (I know its not alot ;))
ATI Radeon HD 5600 512mb
Creative audigy 2 sound card
Windows XP Serivice Pack 3
It's quite urgent and I hope someone can help!

With just 2GB of RAM, I'm impressed that you can generate that much of a RAM preview. RAM previews use RAM. When they run out, they stop.
Have you tried rendering the clip using the Render Queue. If so, does it also report an error at a similar point? If it renders correctly from the queue, you're done. If it doesn't, you probably have a corrupt source file.

Dynamic Link from After Effects CC Altered in Premiere Pro CC

I have created a series of animations in After Effects, but whenever I add a Dynamic Link in Premiere, the Dynamic links are altering their look.
Example: The particle world animation, Ice layer, Bounce layer and a Glue layer to create the effect that I want. Looks great in After Effects. When opened in Premiere Pro, all 3 layers bounce in sequence for no apparent reason. So why does Premiere feel the need to alter my file on import?
Example 2: Small End graphic animation with a phone number and website.. All is great until the last 4 seconds of the animation. For no good reason, the background flips?? I checked this in my After Effects file.. there is no reason for the flip to take place.. once again, only happens in my dynamic link imported into Premiere.
Anyone experience this? I trolled the forums looking for something similar and came out empty handed. Extremely frustrating. I have resorted to rendering out a quicktime video, but this is not an ideal way to achieve things. (that being said, the rendered quicktime video works just fine when imported into Premiere.

Unfortunately in my case the export doesn't solve the issue. The video only looks good while in the composition... I've tried exporting it in all the different formats with several codecs, but to no avail...
