After effects Cs5.5 trial download issues?

When i go to download After effects Cs5.5 it asks me to login to my adoe ID even though i already have? and it wont start the download?

Where did you choose to download the install files too? Which operating system are you using?

Trouble Downloading Adobe After Effects CS5.5 Trial

Every time I attempt to download the After Effects trial I get an "error 107". I can download other trials fine. It's just After Effects. I'm on a Mac with Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

I would recommend completing solution 1 in Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant. The solution provided there should help you clear out your cached downloaded files and allow for a successful download.

Can't open the dl'ed after effects cs5.5 trial... what gives?

I get an error saying - disk could not be mounted error -4960 on my mac
and the ASM keeps saying, "extracting .... this may take a while..."
This is the 2nd time i've downloaded ae cs5.5 trial. It was corrupt the first time and got stuck at 98% and its corrupt again. I need help - fast!

I just downloaded After Effects CS5.5 Trial and can't save my project

Everything appers to work fine. I can add video, images, sound, but when i click save-save as, nothing happens. When I close the project it asks, do you wish to save "untiled project.aep" before closing and I click yes. Nothing happens, AE closes and the work is lost. I've reinstalled AE twice. I redownloaded the installation packet the second time in case something was corrupted. I used the online chat help, but they told me to call tech support. Trouble is, they're closed for 2-3 days depending upon the holiday. If any of you folks have any ideas, please let me know. Also, I use a lot of Adobe products and as a result, I've deleted all of the preferences folders several times to no avail. I know that those can get wonky and cause issues in Adobe products from time to time. By the way, no errors are coming up. Windows Vista 64 bit

Sounds more like a systemic issue where the dialog is not displayed. Any chance you once had a multi-screen setup and didn't reset it properly? This might draw the dialog in an invisible area. Also generally check whether your file dialog may not appear below the application. As a last thing also check whether your file dialog is not reduced to a tiny spec. Strange as it is, but it's possible to resize it that way and it only appears as a random artifact...

Adobe Download Assistant communication error(Error 107) only when I download After Effects CS5.5

I've been trying to download the After Effects CS5.5 Trial for over a month now and it is really frustrating because I don't have a problem downloading any other adobe trial just After Effects CS5.5, it says I have a communication error (Error 107) and I know I really don't because I can download any other trial from Adobe Download Assistant. I reallly need help to try to download this program. I don't know if it is that I'm in another country, my server, or something relevant but i would really aprecite it if you could tell me why this is happening.

No Audio In After Effects CS5.5(Even after rendering)

I currently have the After Effects CS5.5 Trial Version installed. I am running into a bad audio problem. For the first 2 days I have used it, the audio was fine, it played automatically and I didn't even have to render first to get it. Then, the third day, I got on that day and the audio jsut flat out didnt work. I did look it up on the forums and google, and nothing helped. I have tried rendering(with audio), using different video files and clips, and even reinstaling the trial. Nothing worked. The RAM Preview plays sound fine, and when I double-tap "L", the soundwaves do show, and they are accurate when played on the preview. I have tried WMV, AVI, and mp4 files, none of which have worked. I can edit and add effects and import picture and other files fine, but the audio simply doesnt work. I can't get audio by playing it normally.
I know it is not usual to ask questions about the trial, or to even have them answered, but this is important because I want to buy After Effects CS5.5, and before I do, I need to know if this is a computer problem, or if I did something to mess up the program, or if there is even a way to solve it. I don't want to buy it and realize I can't even use it with audio for some reason.
P.S. I am fairly new to this, so if you blast me with some complex, in-depth instructions, please try to make it rather simple, or just explain it well.

You said that audio played when you used RAM preview. That is how you play audio.

After Effects CS5.5 (Error 3)

Hello, Im trying to install After Effects CS5.5 (trial) on my computer. The installer works perfectly but when I try to load After effects up straight after the install I get an error telling me to reinstall which I have already tried plenty of times including on both of my different harddrives. If you guy's know any solution for this problem or can point me in the right direction that would be great.

Chris001.123 I would recommend beginning with the Adobe Support Advisor. It will automatically analyze your installation logs and look for a solution. Beyond that the document Troubleshoot CS5 and CS5.5 installation with install logs details the steps required to review your installation logs. I believe this is the document Mylenium was referring too.

It isn't Lion. It might be the browser you are using or it could be an issue with adobe's site.
Try a different browser and if that doesn't work, contact adobe and let them know you are having problems.

"Adobe After Effects CS5 Render Issues"!

Hey guys
I currently just downloaded the free trial of "Adobe After Effects CS5" and I am wanting to render some video which I added some colour correction to.
When I put this in the render queue and press render is says "You mus have at lease on render item queued in order to render". Also it says on status "Needs output"
How come this is happening, do I need to buy the full vision.

You haven't specified the output location or name. After Effects is telling you to do that.

After Effects CS5 Trial

I tried to download the trial of CS5. I had to pause it very quickly because I wanted to delete my version of CS4 quickly (bad move, darned stupidity). And now, I can't un-pause the download on the trial. And I really, really am dieing to try out this rotobrush tool . Anyways, I probably could ask or look on another document on the site, but sorry, I had to ask.

Jack, following up here to say if you or other folks are still having difficulties with the Akamai Download Manager, you may find it easier to just use the Adobe CS5 direct download links for After Effects and all other CS5 products... Still hearing reports of people not being able to get the trial software so hopefully this helps.
If you need to restore your previous version of After Effects CS4, or still have a Windows XP or a 32-bit system that can't yet use After Effects CS5, you can also redownload the CS4 software if you like.

Where can I download After Effects CS5.5?

I got a new computer because my old one broke so I lost the After Effects CS5.5 and it's the only program I have a code for. I searched on the Adobe site and they only offer CS6. Is there anywhere I could download 5.5 again?

Can't Install After Effects CS5 Trial on Windows XP (64 Bit)

I tired to install the AE CS5 trial yesterday on my computer and it had the error message, "Adobe After Effects CS5 is installable only on 64-bit systems." My computer is pretty crappy, but it IS a 64bit system. Here are my specs of this old budget pc...
Running: Windows XP Media Center Edition v.2002 SP3
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+
2.20 GHz, 1.18 GB of RAM
I knew I would have problems running this program, but I need to at least get it installed so I can work on my animation homework. If you can help at all, it would be greatly appreciated.

Cannot Install After Effects CS5 Trial

I'm not sure what to do, I downloaded the installer fine, but when it comes to installing pops up with something about only working on 64 bit systems, I'm a bit stupid when it comes to things like this, what do I do?
