After Effects CS6 fails install

Hi,
I have a new iMac, and have been trying for the past few hours to install After Effects through AAM. Every time I get the Installation Failure (-60) message. Sometimes it gets to 99%, sometimes less.
I have tried downloading trial software directly (Safari & Firefox) and through Download Assistant - none have worked. I have installed Dreamweaver, Muse and Speedgrade through AAM (the smallest packages), I just can't install the application I actually want to use.
I'd appreciate any help, I have a job starting in the next day or two and stupidly thought installing the software would be the easy bit.
Typical. Five minutes after I posted this, After Effects made it through the installation! Have no idea what the problem was - just flaky I suppose.

I am trying to install the trial version of After effects cs6. I installed the entire cs6 master suite and everything worked except after effects. I tried again from the master suite and then with a separate after effects only installer(all from adobe's site) always getting the same results

I am trying to install on a new macbook retina, I had installed the CC trial but it has run out. maybe I need to uninstall Creative cloud, but all the other programs installed with no problems so i am not sure why its just after effects.

Thanks so much for your help, but i am encountering some issues with the log. In the link you posted I was directed to look for the log in library>logs>adobe>installers and that the file would consist of the product name/install date and end in .log.gz
However I can't find and file that meets this description or even an installers folder inside the adobe folder
^this is all that is in the adobe folder, and both these folders are empty.
There is another folder called adobe downloads which contains these files
which still don't really fit the description provided.
am i doing something wrong? or should i look somewhere else?

After Effects CS6 fails to render and I dont know why?

I'm fairly new with After Effects and my problem is that when I am trying to render my movie, it fails to render at the exact same point every time. The point where it fails is when my 1st video is transitioning to my 2nd video in the movie. And when I try to RAM preview my movie, it wont render parts where one video transitions to another video. Earlier today there was an error coming up saying that frames could not render simultaneously and that I needed to fix my multiprocessing settings. After effects CS6 fails exports on anything but h.264

working along fine in CS4. update (via cloud subscription) to CS6 and suddenly render queue generates "disk full" errors on any format other than h.264.
all of my drives have have hundreds of gigs available. my system meets the spec requirements. help?

yeah. i know my explanation was a bit vague (i was in deadline panic mode).
i was just hoping someone would chime in saying there was a known issue with the cs6 update or something...

video shows 2 cards: NVIDIA 9400m 256 and NVIDIA 9600mGT 512
appears that im running quicktime 7.6.6
have FCP 6 installed so im running whatever codecs it comes with (never was a problem with ae cs4...)
and all drives have 100gigs or more free space and the message i get says target disk is full...
wonder if updating to 10.7 would help...?

Installing Adobe After Effects CS6 from a DVD

I cannot get my Adobe After Effects CS6 to install from the disc of After Effects CS6 when I insert it in the optical drive. It doesn't seem to recognize the disc. What do I do now? Other discs run fine when using the drive.

Download the software as the Trial from the Adobe.com and use the serial number to license it.

Adobe After Effects Cs6 Installation Error. HELP!

When i do my installation of Adobe After effects cs6, i install as trial version, because i want to see what it is like, and i do everything like everyone says, and then it stops at 2 percent saying Installation Failed and it comes up with these solutions, and i did them all about 5 times and it STILL wont work! SOMEBODY HELP!

After Effects CS6 opening with a lot of alarms related to effects redundancies with other programs

After intalling Premiere pro CS6 and After effects CS6, I installed add-ons for these programs (newblue, boris, prodad...). When I open After Effects it gives me 38 cases of effects (Detail Enhancer, noise Reducer...) redundant in other programs, telling me to get rid of them.
When I check these effects in my programs, they are mainly .aex files, located in Premiere Pro CS6, Adobe Common Plug-ins, NewBlue Video effects collections 1 to 6. Some of them also exist in avid /pinnacle studio programs (my former video tools I still use to close previous video projects) before concentrating in Adobe CS6 suite. I don't know what to remove in a safe way. Premiere pro CS6 doesn't worry about redundancies ! Only After Effects...

Where, exactly, are the redundant files?
Did you use the installers for these plug-ins or install them manually?

Adobe Premiere and After Effects CS6 installer failed to initialize on Mac Book Air

Hi everybody,
I'm trying to install Adobe Premiere and After Effects CS6 for at least a month now.
I have downloaded the .dmg file at the Adobe Website and it starts to initializing the installer, then a error show up:
"The installer could not initialize. Download the Adobe Support Advisor."
There is no Adobe Support Advisor when I clicked on the link. "The Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued" (http://www.adobe.com/support/loganalyzer/)
I've tried this many times, but every time being a failure.

After Effects CS6 Update fails with the code (U43M1D204)

I was just downloading and installing the latest updates on both my windows workstation and my Apple MBP. Everything went fine on the windows machine but I keep getting the following error when my MBP attempts to update After Effects CS6:

The download appears corrupted. Please try again after a few minutes.

I am running the latest version of Yosemite (10.10.2). Is there some half downloaded file I can delete to make this work? I've waited. I've rebooted. I'm VERY reluctant to delete my current installation of CS6 if this is what is required. I'm an instructor at a local community college. The college currently only runs CS6. I teach an animation class that uses After Effects and as such I need CS6 working on my MBP. If this update is non critical I'll just let it ride. Oh, yea and I also keep AE CC and AE CC 2014 for no other reason than I can take a students CC 2014 file all the way back to CS6 so they can work in class. I'm guessing I'll need to add CC 2015 or what ever they call it so I will have 4 installations of AE just to do file conversions..... but that is another thread.
Any help on the current install issue would be appreciated

What update is it? What current version of CS6 do you have?
It may be a permissions thing. Mac OSX goes all screwy in the permissions whenever it updates. Try fixing that first. fixing permissions problem that impedes start of Adobe applications

yes, I did that with helping message 3, I'd remove Cs6 only, but it did not help. The message "Failed to initialize the setup program. To identify the problem, download the program Adobe Support Advisor" repeat again =(

Trouble installing After Effects cs6 on my new Yosemite system.

I then attempted to install all the software from my old computer. Installed Entire cs6 suite, after effects is greyed out.
When i tried to open, i received an error " You can’t use this version of the application “Adobe After Effects CS6” with this version of OS X. You have “Adobe After Effects CS6” 11.0. "
I then read online that there was fix by updating to After Effects to 11.4. Due to the fact that i cant open program to update from within i downloaded update and tried to install via the installer. I acts like it it will start even giving a timeline of how long it will take then closes and says update failed.
It then says you can look at error log, when i do it says " Adobe After Effects CS6 (11.0.4) update Update is not applicable. Error Code: U44M2P28 ".
Anyone knows how i can fix this issue and get after effects working? Thanks in advance

There have been a few people having problems getting updates and a few different solutions. It all depends on what's messed up on your machine.
It could be as simple as fixing permissions: fixing permissions problem that impedes start of Adobe applications
Somewhat advanced, but it worked for somebody: Unable to upgrade to 11.0.1 for AE CS6
You may have to defeat a daemon... Newly installed After Effects CS6 won't launch.
One solution for a different OS and AE version, but might solve it: Mavericks and AE 12.0/12.1/12.2

I'm trying to install After Effects CS6 and it gets to 18% and just hangs there, I have tried about 6 times and it still hangs there.

Unable to launch After Effects CS6[Try] after installing (Stopped Working)

So after installing. I tried to launch AE, then during initialization or loading, it will prompt a message "Has stopped working".
I was able to install AE CS6 and launch it properly on my laptop but I am having difficulties launching it on my desktop.

Here are some workaround/fix I tried to do:
Uninstal and re-install.
Uninstall, clear avery adobe product, remove paths and traces, relaunch, and then re-install.
Same as step 2, with firewall turned off, Anti-virus removed.
Run installation with Administrator rights.
Launch program via Compatibility settines Vista, Vista SP1, Vista SP2, Windows 7
All drivers are updated and reupdated.
Re-installed all GPU drivers.
Refreshed my Wndows 8 OS.
Reformated my Windows 8 OS then Installed AE cs6.
Installed AE on my F drive instead of C [C drive is an SSD and F Drive is an HDD]
I am able to see the AE CS6 splash screen but it will prompt a message "Has Stopped Working".
Other things to take note:
I am able to launch Renderer Machine without any issues.
I am also able to launch other Adobe Products that came along with AE CS6 try version.
Latest Quicktime version is installed.

And here are the error messages that I am getting everytime I try to launch AE.
After Effects error: After Effects crashed previusly attempting to initialize OpenGL. Cosult the manufacturer of your graphics card for a compatiple OpenGL driver.

Desperately need help ASAP!!! Issue with installing After effects CS6 trial version

I downloaded the After Effects CS6 trial, but when I tried to run the patch installer, it told me to download adobe app manager. I did so, but when I try and run the patch installer again, it says in app manager that "Update failed. Update could not be applied." Please, I have really important work that I need to do, and I just cant get this thing to work. PLEASE HELP

it says I need to update, but when I click on updates within aam, it just says "you're good! No new updates" Is there somewhere specific I need to go to update? Because the only options I have are all & Updates :/
