After Effects CS6 wont open splash screen only PLEASE HELP

when i start up the splash screen comes up for like 3 seconds and closes thats whats been happeninf for over 3 days and im on a busy schedule editing my short movie please help imidiate answers needed i tried reinstalling, updating, changin folders and installing, i cleared the 10.0 and 11.0 folders in the appdata i dont know what else to do i even restarted many times nothing is helping please someone reply at the earlies

You have not provided any system information or other details. That's just the most generic Windows error about a failed initialization of an executable which by itself is totally meaningless.

You are never able to open projects from one version of After Effects in an earlier version. This has always been the case.
You can use the command File > Save As > Save A Copy As CS6 to save a version of the project from After Effects CC (12) that can be opened in After Effects CS6 (11).

Starting After Effects gets "Alert" on splash screen, then quits.

I'm running Mac OS 10.7.3, with an i5 processor running at 3.7Ghz, 8GB of RAM, and a new ATI 6870 1GB graphics card. when ever I start up Adobe After Effects CS6 I get this error:
AE then quits. any ideas?

Remove OpenGL plugin and try to load the application again
Drag the AE_OpenGL.plugin file from the Applications/Adobe After Effects CS6/Plug-ins/Extensions folder to the desktop.

Saying (in all caps) that it doesn't open is silly. Right after that "error" message, the project opens.
Why are you yelling?
Read the message. All it says is that it was created in an old version of After Effects and is going to make you save it with a new file name so that your original project file won't get overwritten.

Updated ipod wont open applications...please help

I updated to the latest firmware on my ipod touch a few days ago. Everything works well except there is a problem with the applications funtion.
After downloading I press the onscreen icon to open the application but it only opens momentarily to its home screen then closes after about 3 seconds. I have tried downloading other applications but the same thing keeps happening....they all close after about 3 secs and I cant get passed the home screen
Anybody else having the same problems? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Aperture Library wont open on ext. hd - please help!

I know there are tons of posts on this topic, but I cannot find one that matches my exact issue. Please forgive me if there is already a posted solution to my problem!
I recently backed up my entire MBP internal hard drive (using time machine) to a seagate 1.5 tb hd (mac osx journaled extended). Since I am so low on disk space on my internal drive, I would like to be able to delete my library on my internal and work off of my external drive. When I try to open the library on my external drive Aperture reads: "Aperture cannot access this library, To use this library, make sure its file permissions are set correctly." I have tried repairing permissions and have followed all of the steps listed on other posts. Any thoughts on how I might be able to correct this problem. Please let me know if I am leaving out any important info to help you all solve this.

It's not clear how you got from "backed up using Time Machine" to having a copy of your Library on an external drive.
The simplest way to do what you seem to want is to simply copy your Library from its current location (on your system drive) to a newly formatted ("Mac OS Extended (Journaled)") external drive, then double-click the Library on the external drive to launch Aperture with that Library loaded (and make that Library the current Aperture default Library). Once you confirm that the Library is usable and complete, you could delete the Library on your system drive.
Note that while running Libraries from external (FW400 and faster) drives works, the generally accepted change to make when you start to run out of space on a system drive containing your Library is to convert your Images' Masters from Managed (that is, pointer and file are inside the Library package) to Referenced (pointer remains in Library, file is relocated as specified by user). This is less simple that the standard "all Images' Masters are Managed" default, and thus requires a bit of learning and administration, but works well. I found that most of my development work was done within 45 days of a image being imported into Aperture, and so I've set up my workflow to import files as Images with Managed Masters, and then I manually relocate Masters for Images older than 45 days to an external FW800 drive (but I leave all top-rated Images' Masters in the Library). This keeps my Library to a usable size (though I did upgrade my MBP drive to 500 GB/7200rpm).

I am having trouble rendering a video in After Effects CS6

I am having trouble rendering a video in After Effects CS6. My video is only 12 seconds long. I am using the "Ray-Trace" feature". Whenever I try to render this video I get this error message.
Also, the text turns into a giant black boxy blob whenever I turn off the Ray-Trace effect.
Somebody please help

No, there is no 32bit version of AE ever since CS5. The last 32bit version was CS4. Trials can be obtained using this method:

After Effects CS6 Crashes Upon Opening

I have After Effects CS6, and it and other creative suite programs have been working just fine, until recently. This just started a few days ago after every time I open After Effects to start a project it immediately closes and I receive this screen. I don't even make it to a project panel.

I have tried to "check online for a solution and close the program" but not results come of it.
Potential source of problem : I was uploading a Camera Raw sequence into AE when it decided to stop responding. Upon trying everything to revive the program I had to force quit. Since then the program has been acting funky on me.I was able to open AE successfully twice by right clicking the AE icon in my bar then selecting a specific project from the pop up menu.
But since then, this quick fix no longer works I have uninstalled the program once, then re-installed the program, upon which it worked for 2 days, then stopped working and here I am. My exact steps when trying to open the program are 1. turn the computer on 2. click on the AE icon in my taskbar 3.Error screen
Here are my system specs:
I have done all of the recent updates available
If there is anymore information I need to provide please let me know. There is no other third-party hardware or related items on this computer.

So I updated After Effects, It all seemed to be working just fine. And then a day ago it started doing the same thing. I have updated everything for the computer and on AE. Any idea how to fix it? If it is the caches, trash, etc.. how do I deal with this problem?
