After effects help & adobe air

i'm in the after effects cs5 application (creative suite production premium) on a power mac 10.5.8 and when i go to the help pull down and click on after effects help, i get the following error message:
don't even know what abobe air is. i'm assuming the after effects help has to run through this app. is this something i need to install and what does it do? i hate hate running unnecessary programs. thanks.

You can use After Effects Help without using the AIR application. You can either use the HTML version of After Effects Help on the Web or the PDF version of After Effects Help.

How to import original clips edited in After Effects into Adobe Premiere, without the After Effects

What is the quickest and easiest way to bring clips that were edited within after effects into adobe premiere? I just want the original clip as it is cut, without any of the after effects manipulation. I am trying to gather the cuts of a green screen project together that was compiled and edited within Adobe After Effects, so they can be rekeyed. I want to detach all effects work, and just have a straight green screen cut of the original files. Each cut though, is its own compilation. Simply importing to a new sequence doesn't seem to be the answer because I first have to uncheck many effects to find the original clip buried beneath layers of mattes and various effects. I have probably 400 different cuts, and currently my workflow is super slow just searching for the original clip in after effects, looking for the time code, then matching the original clip and timecode into Premiere. Is there a faster an easier workflow?

It's what you may need to do, though. Unless you know exactly where the clips are on the hard drive.

Dynamic link after effects and adobe media encoder

Hello,
I recently downloaded After Effects cc (yesterday). I am running a mac pro with OSX 10.9.3 2.3 ghz intel core i7 with 16 gb 1600 MHz DDR3.
On previous versions of AE I was able to render straight out of AE, I know this is not the case with CC anymore. I am trying to use AME to export however I am having issues.
When I try to send to AME from the Composition tab in AE it looks like it is doing something and then nothing happens. I then opened AME separately and tried to "add after effects comp" from the file menu in AME the error message displayed was "Could not connect to Adobe After effects. Please verify that Adobe After effects and Adobe Dynamic link components are installed".
I have also tried to drag and drop my composition directly from AE to AME and the following message appears "Dynamic link error - Source is empty"
I have read a multitude of threads on this issue and this is definitely not a firewall issue. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Why do you think that? You can still use the render queue in After Effects to render and export directly out of After Effects.
That said, there are some formats that Adobe Media Encoder handles better.

How have you determined that?
Does exporting to QuickTime (.mov) format from After Effects work? How about the 3D Camera Tracker and Warp Stabilizer effects? The reason that I ask about these is that they use the same communication mechanism that Dynamic Link does, so if they also fail, then it tells us something about where the problem is.

After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro

I thought After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro were part of the cloud. Neither appeared in the download manager and I'm not able to install.

This question gets asked a lot because, rather than putting a simple, clear explanatory note into the Application Manager, Adobe confusingly opted to simply omit apps not supported by your operating system from the download screen thereby leaving users such as yourself bewildered as to why those apps are not available for you for download.
Many people often think their Application Manager is somehow broken or corrupted.
I take it that you're running Windows XP 32 bit or Windows 7 32 bit?
Neither will run PP or AE unfortunately so those apps are not available for you to download.
64 bit operating systems only.

I can see After Effect in Adobe Application Manager

Hello. I have a creative cloude monthly subscription. I installed several programs on my working MAC. Now i want to install the same program at home on my Sony Vaio with Windows 7 but in Adobe Application Manager i can see only 14 program but not all . The program that i want to install is After Effect. can you help me please? Thanks in advance!

After Effects and Premiere Pro require a 64-bit computer, otherwise they do do show in the Adobe Application Manager.

How can I download After Effects CS6 now that After Effects CC has come out? And is After Effects CS6 now free?
I'm wondering this as I don't have this right system for After Effects CC to run on my Macbook.

After Effects Help | Creating shapes and masks

I don't think either approach accomplishes what I am trying to do. Just as when using a shape tool on an existing layer to create a mask, none of these approaches lets me alter a shape path after creating it, in terms of number of points, inner/outer radius and inner/outer roundness. Nor can I animate those characteristics.
The Help file creates the impression that you can copy/paste a Shape path from a Shape layer. If that were true, I could create a shape, copy/paste that path to a mask path, keyframe it, go back to the original shape layer, change its propertie and copy/paste that new shape path to the mask path at a different time, thus morphing from one shape to another. I don't see any way to do that.

I have Adobe After Effects CS 5 (TRAIL, WILL BUY IF I LIKED IT) Suppose there is a Video and the Lenght of the Video is 8 Seconds and When i Make all done with AE and Press CTRL + M(ovie) to save it. i save it and the lenght is like 3 seconds :'( i tried all my best so please someone help... Can After Effects help out Premiere

Dear,
I'm using Premiere CS3. I'm editing on AspectHD, and I'd like to have my co-editor working on his machine with DV version of the footage.
To have him have exactly what I've got so far, I went this way:
- saved a copy of my project file
- offlined all video clips it copy and kept audio files online (to avoid
having to reconnect them, by having my co-editor have them in the same
drive path and directory as I do so they reconnect automatically)
- I imported CFHD project in a brand new DV project (so that my co-editor
can work in it and have proper specs)
So now I have an offline DV version of my project file with audio online, but when I try to reconnect medias with the DV clips, I need to reconnect them one by one; even more, I need to select them 2 times each before Premiere recognizes and accepts them as the proper media. (that is normal software workflow according to ADOBE support "except for the double selection I have to make")
When I just Make Offline and Reconnect Medias in my project file and keep the HD media, I just need to select and tie one file in each folder that hold clips and Premiere does the rest, but now it won't do it for this particular project.
I talked with ADOBE tech support and the guy told me it was how Premiere works, but couldn't help me out as to if AE could help me help PREMIERE reconnect all my file in batch instead of spending 1-2 days doing so.
Anyone knows if by importing my project file in AE I could batch reconnect medias ?

Thank you Howard, didn't know about this.
But, still my co-editor doesn't have the Hard Drive space to have the files copied (1.4GB) and I don't have the money to buy it for him.
So I'd rather find a way to reconnect DV media to replace CFHD ones.
I posted on After Effects forum and it seems the program will respond as Premiere does. What about BRIDGE, is is there a way to reconnect media via it ?
This is like the basis of offline/online editing I can't believe that ADOBE technician haven't included something in the Creative Suite to do this !!?

Pick After Effects and download
When the program is installed go to your program files or your applications folder and launch the program.
It's exactly like any other program. You don't run from the cloud, the cloud just keeps you updated and provides the download link for the apps.

Help: Adobe air malfunctioned when run on vista

Here I meet one problem.
I build an Air with Flash CS3 professional. After it
installed on Windows xp system, everything work fine.
But when installed on Windows vista system, if changing the
time to Nov 2. 2008, the air won't work(URLLoader always meet
ioError).
if we changing the time to Nov 1. 2008, the air works(No
ioError problem).
My environment is
Adobe Air runtime 1.1
Developing tool : Flash CS3 professtional with
flash9-en_US_9_0_2_Update.exe, flash9-en_US_9_0_3_Update.exe and
AIRSDKIntegrationKit.zip updated to build air.
If anyone can give me some suggestion about how to solve the
