After Effects Rendering stops is away from PC

Hello,
I'm having a lot of troubles with a relative simple project, I have five h.264 1080p 5d MKii files i've mounted on premiere timeline 1280*720 25p (totally 4 minutes) after that i've sent to After Effects via dynamic link, and done some simple lumakeying, i realized a fake studio with white background and a 3d logo (VC Element 3d) that stands near the actor, after i added dome simple camera movement and basic color correction.
Now im experiencing tremendous rendering time trough Adobe Premiere Pro 6-28 hours (for only 4 minutes of video), at the end the file is corrupted. After effects preview fawless, scrolling mouse at full resolution is very fast almost realtime.
Now i am experiencing extremely long time also with queue rendering. I've noticed that AE renders only if i'm moving the mouse if i stop moving rendering goes on "pause", with gpu and cpu at 100%.
I have an Asus G750JX 4700hq 3.4ghz (on TURBOBOST) 32gb RAM (1600mhz Corsair CL9), gtx770m (3gb DDR5 VRAM), 2 SSD one for OS another for AE Caching, External USB3 7200RPM (160mbps) for footage. AE and Premiere CC, W8.1.
I've tried to transcode source h.264 files to Animation, but nothing changes.
Also on premiere if i keep moving the mouse (with a simple application) it renders in 20 Minutes but the file at the end is corrupted.
I've also tried to disalble, enable Multicore Rendering, CUDA Engime, clean cache.
I've never had this kind of problem.

After 48 hours of headache, i found the problem, my sistem was infected by a Trojan that uses th GPU when IDLE for mining... so no problem when working on timeline but low performance when i was away from pc... i removed the virus, killing the proces: sistemewhileidle.exe and clean the users/temp folder where the virus was stored after i searched for entries in the system reg and delete.

  • After Effects Rendering Queue has Stopped Working

    Hello, Everyone:
Just yesterday, I was having a blast creating some shine-through text animations in After Effects. Today, while working on a new project, the Render Queue just hangs when I try to render my project. Is there any way to fix this?
    Thanks in advanced,
    David.

My render details are simple enough - HD 1080, AVI, "lossless with alpha". My system is handling the work just fine, after my recent upgrade. But everything was same-same from the project just yesterday. The difference was that, today, when I clicked "render" after queuing the project, it just sat there until I finally gave up. And the project was a simple opacity change of some text.
I haven't rebooted. Should have tried that first. At present, I'm re-installing. Once re-installed, I'll reboot as well, of course - and then let you know.
    Thanks.

  • After Effects Rendering Problem and RAM Preview Problem

I posted a question about this yesterday but I thought I would repost it with more detail!
I have a restless issue here with rendering and RAM preview. I am simply trying to create a viral ad which uses the cloning effect I achieved with masking for my college coursework and I have completed the process of creation but I have ran into problems. The RAM preview will only play up to a certain point then it will just stop and this effects the final render because it gets to the point in the rendering where the RAM preview stops and then a message will pop up saying the rendering has failed or something? (Screenshots Below)
I have tried RAM previewing just one of the three videos I am using and it still stops at the same point.
I am using .avi files and have tried converting to .mov, .mp4, .wmv all of which didn't work.
I am using After Effects CS4 ver 9.0.0.346
    My computer specs
AMD SEMPRON processor 2.7Ghz (single core)
2GB RAM (I know its not alot ;))
    ATI Radeon HD 5600 512mb
    Creative audigy 2 sound card
    Windows XP Serivice Pack 3
It's quite urgent and I hope someone can help!
    Cheers!

With just 2GB of RAM, I'm impressed that you can generate that much of a RAM preview.  RAM previews use RAM. When they run out, they stop.
Have you tried rendering the clip using the Render Queue.  If so, does it also report an error at a similar point?  If it renders correctly from the queue, you're done.  If it doesn't, you probably have a corrupt source file.

  • After Effects rendering issues.

I am currently trying to render a composition from After Effects, but every time I run into the same problem. Rendering starts then suddenly finishes, leaving me with a 68kb .mov file. The composition is rather large, about 5 secs. long and contains alpha. However, I have rendered similar projects without dificulties. Any ideas as to what might be the problem?

Try to debug it. Enable the Extra per Frame Info on the render queue and see where it stops exactly. Also twirl open the extended info on the -coRender Queue panel, this might provide additional clues. it tells you exactly on which premp or layer it's chewing currently. This may reveal the baddy.

  • After Effects rendering issue

Lately anytime I am rendering a clip in After Effects for a project and then jump into premeire to do some edits the render in AE just stops right where it is. Anybody else have this issue and is there a fix?

Image sequences do usually support MP rendering, but any codec that must process frames in a linear fashion may not. That includes most of them. What we are calling MP rendering is really rendering multiple frames simultaneously. If one renders faster than the next one in the sequence due to a longer path through the system buss and you are using a process that is linear then the whole process breaks down very quickly and things have to process the errors, stop the process until everything gets re-set, verify that everything is in order, figure out which frame from which processor is next, start again, then check the sequence again. That's an over simplification of why rendering to a linear codec or trying to render a plug-in that uses linear processing like a particle system can break down with MP or rather more accurately RMFS rendering turned on.

  • After Effects CC 2014 problem: Image from frame from the last Premiere CC-After Effects link permanently burned into new project compositions.

One frame from one of the clips I sent from Premiere to After Effects through "replace with After Effects composition" was permanently burned in After Effects and now it appears in every new composition of every new project I create as the background of such composition.
For example, I sent from Premiere a clip of a building to After Effects for color correction with Finesse, and warp stabilization and then after rendering, finishing, and closing all the applications, now, every time I open After Effects for any other project, whether already-created or brand-new, every existing or newly created composition (in a Mac Command N) you see the image of the building as the background of the composition.  If you create a new composition, while it remains empty of any layers, you see the image of the building.  If you have an already-created composition with layers, when you turn off all the eyes of the layers, you would expect to see black (nothing) in the composition window (if that's the color you assigned to be as the background of the comp), but instead you see the building.  If you change the color of the comp's background in Composition Settings, you still see the building as the background.  If you render such empty composition (no layers) you render out the image of the building, not black.  I tried clicking everywhere and going through the preferences, and even uninstalling the application and re-installing it, but it seems to be permanently burned in into every comp's background.
Please, any ideas of what's going on and how to get rid of it?
Thanks so much for your help,
    RR.

Thanks so much Dave.  It fixed the problem.
    Raoul.

  • Computer specs for nice 3D rendering/ after effects rendering and video rendering in general ?

Hi there! I would like to know what the perfect specs for a laptop/workstation/computer are, so that I could do my creative work from home..my old laptop (Macbook Pro, 8Gb Ram, V 2010) is not good enough for 3D rendering, not even Video rendering or After Effects... I need to know what graphics card for eg or how much Ram or what I need to look for in a computer so that I won't get any error messages after rendering for half a day anymore...;) (--> very annoying) Money is not a first priority...i would first like to know, what the best option would be that one could have and then down size from there;)
I would appreciate every help:) my laptop is dying...i need something new and better;)
    cheers stephs

Regardless of workflow, you want a workstation, not a laptop. You will get much more bang for your buck.
Also, as others have said, Windows machines tend to be better choices than Macs right now. And that's coming from two people who used to use/love Macs...
In general, you want the fastest clock speed on your processor that you can afford. You want as many cores as you can get with that nice, high clock speed.
Ideally, you want 4GB of RAM per core of your processor - MINIMUM 16 GB of RAM, (but get as much as you can afford).
You want an SSD for your cache and a good-sized regular hard drive to hold footage, renders, etc.
GPU matters for Premiere and any third-party plugins that use it (like Red Giant Universe, Element 3d, Mettle's ShapeShifter, etc.), but not for AE and not for Cinema 4D (which comes free with AE these days).
Again, this is just some generalization. For more specific info, we'll need to know more about what you're doing.
Also, you don't need to take our word for any of this; read what Adobe has to say on the matter: FAQ: What computer and components should I buy?

  • Why after effects renders me with bad audio?

I rendered almost six times and the result of these renders is that audio takes me wrong, when I play it in Windows media audio don´t reproduce, and I reproduced a file alternative to this and reproduced it excellent, the worst is that when I play in VLC or Media Player the audio is ok, that's not the main problem, because for me it would reproduce any of the programs that it works, but I need to make this video with less size or weight and when I make this process finally the audio it´s completely damaged. This has never happened before. Please help me.

I'm not quite sure what you're saying. Are you saying that when you render from After Effects the audio sounds bad but the audio file that was in your composition doesn't sound that bad when you play it in other applications?
You aren't telling us what your original audio file is like or what your render settings are in After Effects, so we do not have a lot of information that we might need.
Is the sound okay when you do a RAM preview in AE?
What is the file format of the audio file?
What settings are you using to render out of AE?
If your original audio is an MP3 file, try transcoding it to a WAV and using that in AE. Then render an uncompressed file out of AE and use the Adobe Media Encoder to do your final delivery file. That's the proper workflow anyway. AE should not be used to make your final compressed version.

  • After Effects Rendering Problem (Please Help!)

Hello, I recently purchased adobe after effects CS6 for my Asus i7 laptop running windows 8 OS with a nvidia graphics card. I had just finished my after effects project and I went to render it out. I chose all my settings as H.264 and best settings. I click render and it starts off fast and rendering fine. About half way through the render it stops adruptly but does not signify any error message on the screen. The software shows that it is still trying to render but the render load bar does not move neither does the time lapse (time remaining).
If you have any idea what the problem may be or how to fix it please post a comment.
    Thank You!

We need to know a lot more if we're going to help you. Please provide answers to the questions listed here: "FAQ: What information should I provide when asking a question on this forum?"
    > Renders stopping halfway through has usually nothing to do with the output format, so for the time being let's ignore the theoretical hubub about H.264
If the format being used is H.264 in a QuickTime container, this can be a problem, since that codec does have problems with the use of many threads, and these problems often occur partway through processing. There is more information about this here.

  • After Effects Rendering REALLLY Slow!?

So, i have a two minute clip, thats taking 3 Hours and 20 mins to download?! Heres some information that may help you help me out... :

Y'know, for the past few days you've been crying and moaning about slow render times.
I went back & checked, and do you know how much information you've given to help us help you?  Here's the answer:  ALMOST NOTHING!  And that is despite people asking you over and over again for certain information, and you ignore it!  Do you LIKE not getting help?
You know what we know?  You're running Win 8 and you have 8 gigs of RAM.  You're rendering a 3-minute clip, and it's taking 10 hours.  Well, lah-dee-dah.  In AE terms, you might just as well have told us you're from Japan and you have red hair.
You want to know what we should know?  Here's a list that will get the diagnostic process going:
The PRECISE version of AE you're using, right down to the last decimal place
The PRECISE version of your operating system, right down to the last decimal place
The identities of any third-part video cards
Got any drivers for these cards?  What are their PRECISE version numbers?
The horizontal & vertical dimensions of your comps and frame rate
The media container (.mov, .avi, etc.) and codec(s) of the clips you're using
Got audio clips?  wav, aiff, or something else?
What kind of still images are in the project?  Bitmapped or vector?  What are their horizontal & vertical dimensions?  Are they RGB or CMYK?
What kind of effects are you trying to use?
Trying to use ray-tracing?  You shouldn't.
Trying to use multiprocessing?  You shouldn't.
This isn't an all-encompassing list, but it ain't bad.  So toss the people here a bone and cough up some information, okay?  Give us a fighting chance, and don't make us rely on crystal balls.

  • After Effects Rendering Engine?

I downloaded After Effects from my Creative Cloud application and it only gave me the Rendering Engine? How come it didn't give me After Effects? I can't open anything or start a project.

So I took that into thought and clicked on the other button, when I clicked on it, it still came up as the rendering engine?

    Hello richardneubs,
i had a similar problem in Premiere and that over many weeks - no one could help - even not the support.
i found the problem in a forum: the path which i wanted to save the file or the file-name was too long.
Maybe this is also your problem - try it, may it´s the solution.
i´ve seen that in your filename is a space: after With- Intro-HD.mov. Maybe that can be the problem.
    Hope for you it works.

  • Can MacBook Pros handle After Effects renders in HD?

    Hi all:
I'm trying to determine if the new MacBook Pros can handle AfterEffects renders in HD (1020x1980).
My Powerbook G4 has given out and I'm trying to decide between repair ($300) or replace ($3000). The one thing that it couldn't do was render After Effects projects if they were HD. (well, it could - but it would give an estimate of a 7 hour render for a pretty basic 10 second animation). With probably 80% of my work being in HD nowadays, if I knew the MacBook could handle that, it would seal the deal for me.
If it matters, I'm using AE CS3 because my desktop isn't compatible with CS4. I would also prefer a 15", but am fine going with the 2.8GHz/320GB/7200. (And would do the 17" if it is capable and the 15" isn't)
    Thanks!

Late reply, I know ...! Thanks, Jerry, I tried that - actually, we found that the issue was that the clips that worked from AE were 23.976 fps, and the clips that didn't work were 23.98. Adjusting the frame rate in AE did the trick.
    You live and learn!
    Matt

  • After Effects Project - Erased...from existence?!

Just thought I'd mention this in case anybody has a suggestion.
Yesterday I spent about 12 hours on a motion graphics project for a client - like I always do.  Nothing particularly unusual about the job, except I had started work on it at the client's premises, and simply copied the project onto my desktop at home for yesterday's work.  I wouldn't normally have a project on the desktop.
To maintain compatibility with the client I used CS3, 8.0.2.27.  OS is Mac OS 10.5.8.
Like I say, 12 hours work, with an auto-save every 10 minutes.  2 incremental saves of my own, so there should be several project files in the job folder.
Rendered with Nucleo Pro, then copied complete job folder back to my laptop for transport to client today.  Erased nothing on either machine.
At the client today, am confused to find the only project files and/or autosaves are the original Friday version - dated friday, despite the Render files being there from yesterday.  So I check in at home and discover the same thing here.  The render files of the final job exist, but not the project files.
Nucleo caches the project files it renders - but they're not there either, despite earlier job renders still being in the cache.
Apple's Time Machine will only show me backups from 9AM yesterday - before I started work on this job.  It seems to have no backups in between, despite the fact that it is supposed to keep backups of every hour for previous 24 hours.
After Effects has the projects in it's "recent projects" list.  Nucleo has them in it's render history.  But the project files do not exist.
What the hell is going on?  Anyone ever experienced similar?  Got any ideas where a secret cache of my project might be?

Have you checked your account for guest users or the default template for new users? Perhaps you never saved it in the right user home dir to begin with?
