After enabling my firewall, I can't get the itunes permissions to stick

I recently turned on my firewall (Security & Privacy --> Firewall-->Advanced-->Automatically allow signed software to receive incoming connections). I made sure to add iTunes to the permissions box above it. Regardless, now every time that I run iTunes, it asks me "Do you want the application “iTunes.app” to accept incoming network connections?". I can't get the permissions (in the firewall) to stick.
I followed someone's suggestion that there maybe a problem with iTunes' code signing (so that the firewall will recognize it as such) so I ran "codesign -v /Applications/iTunes.app" in Terminal, and the response i got was: "/Applications/iTunes.app: a sealed resource is missing or invalid In architecture: i386"
This is the iTunes version that was preloaded on my MacBook Air, then updated (today) to 10.5.1.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Sounds like a Codesign issue. From terminal, type:
codesign -vvv /Applications/iTunes.app/
You should see:
/Applications/iTunes.app/: valid on disk
/Applications/iTunes.app/: satisfies its Designated Requirment
But if you see:
/Applications/iTunes.app/: a sealed resourse is missing or invalid
[lists reources]
You can either delete the offending resouces (risky) or try redownloading and reinstalling the latest iTunes.dmg from Apple. Try the reinstall first.

Delete the broken links in iTunes then look at your purchased list to redownload.
If this happened because you were deleting files from the iTunes folder in Finder, don't. You have to let iTunes do all the deleting and moving or you will end up with broken links.

1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

I had the similar problem last night and found a solution (although it takes more than a few clicks). Highlight all the album tracks in itunes on the pc and right click "get info". Check the artwork box in this window. I found that the now playing art was showing up in the itunes window, but on songs that were missing artwork showed nothing in the get info box. When I replaced the artwork by using the artwork command, or manually adding it into the "get info" window. It was annoying but my iphone updated every album.

Thanks for your prompt response, however I have first seen it now. I have placed an active SIM card in the iPhone turned it off and on. It now says SIM locked, please write access code. The problem is I don't remember the password. When I connect it to iTunes it tell me that I have to write the password before it can be used with iTunes...... Do you have any good ideas? When you purchase a movie with iTunes Extras, the primary movie along with the iTunes Extras will download to your iTunes Movie folder. Mouseover the cover art and click the icon on the album to open the main menu to play the movie or view other features.

Connot get it to accept cookies; privacy settings are re-set each time after I change them. How can I get the privacy setting to stick and accept cookies?

I need to accept cookies to log into a technical site. I clear all cookies and the history and follow the instructions for setting privacy options to "Use custom settings for history" and to accept all cookies. When I go back to try logging into the site, it still tells me cookies aren't accepted. When I go back to Options-Privacy, the setting has been changed back to "Remember history" from "Use custom settings for history". I have done this about 5 times, trying various options, closing Firefox after making the change and starting it again - nothing works. How can I get the privacy settings to stay as I set them and accept cookies?

Blocking all cookies in Safari does not work. Deleted cookies will not stay deleted. There are numerous threads on this going back years, both in these forums and elsewhere. Many claim to have submitted the issue to Apple, but I have never seen anyone post a reply.
I have seen many suggested fixes that involve finding the cookies file, some including Terminal manipulations, and none seems to work universally. I can find noplace where Apple addresses this officially with an actual Apple-approved explanation or how-to.
Bottom line, your browser's security features should do what they claim: delete cookies. When they come back without ever even visiting another page, this is clearly not working in the way a reasonable user would expect.
Bottom line, Safari does not protect users' privacy in the way it pretends to and, after so many years of this issue, it appears that Apple wants it this way.
Having spent way too much time on this, I realize the choice is between Safari which is pretty well optimized; Firefox which is a lot pokier, at least for me; and Chrome, which I assume funnels personal information directly to Google.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

The ipod is not a storage/backup device. The sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
You should copy everything from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > iTunes being set 'off' ?
