After every phone call I have to reboot

After any call I make, the screen shows "App Error" then I have to shut the phone down and reboot. (In Polk county, there is no service center that has offered to help or has been available to help. Very dissatisfied with service) HELP!!

    I've also had the same issues, after upgrading to IOS 6.0, the apps in my iPhone 4 were crashing and the battery life run out very fast.
    The only solution worked for me was to remove all mail accounts (Exchange/Gmail) from my iPhone (in settings) and then add them back.
    The crashing were stopped! also the battery was back to normal.
    I found the solution by first looking at the crash logs (in IOS 6). you can find them at Settings -> General -> About (at the bottom of the About menu you will find the option that opens the logs).
    There i saw many logs about Low Memory crash. 99% of the logs were pointed that the largest process (use the most memory) during the crashes is "dataaccessd".
    I search in the web and found that this process is a deamon process that reponsible the Mail accounts (like Exchange/Gmail) and contancts list.
    I've installed the app "System Status - activity monitor" which shows important system info like CPU usage, Memory usage and running processes.
    Before apply my solution (deleting the mail accounts) i saw that the CPU usage was very high which consume the battery very fast. Also i saw that the memory (RAM) was run out.. which probably what cause the crashing..
    After deleting the mail accounts (at Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars) i check again with the System Status app, and saw that the memory and CPU were back to normal.
    Adding the mail accounts back, still everything work ok

  • Every phone call cuts off...

     I got a blackberry curve 9360 at the beginning of May and now for some reason every phone call I make or receive is getting cut off. Internet works fine, I can still text but I am now having to pre-warn people when I get on the phone that it will be cut off at some point. The longest it has gone in the last week before the 'Call Failed' sign appears is 11 minutes and today it cut off as I was on the phone to my husband after 12 seconds. There is also frequent interference which usually comes right before the phone cuts off.
     I did a blackberry software update on friday which lasted for 4 hours and for that whole time I was unable to use my phone, the day before I had gone into the O2 store to speak to them about it and received a new sim which seemed to work for a few hours but that's it. People on the other end can barely hear me and when I try to call people back the 'SOS' sign sometimes appears.
     I think the ability to make phone calls is the most basic requirement of any phone and currently the service I'm receiving is both unacceptable and disappointing. I am also aware that blackberry has been experiencing some problems this week which they may not be able to help but it would be nice to hear from them in some way or to have available information on the homepage of the website like Natwest did when they had their system failure.

    If that's the case, i think the area you reside doesn't have proper GMS signals at all. Are you living in an apartment, or is your roof covered in concrete? if so try coming out of and try calling in a bare land area. Even if this din't work out, what is suggest is to reload the phone software. Watch for some youtube videos. You can do it alone, and if you messed up there, remember we are here to help.

    My 3G network tend to disappear after a phone call and I have to switch on and off my 3G to make it work again. I am using bb 9360. Anybody experience this?

    When making a phone call I have to put it on speaker to hear who I'm calling. I can't hear when putting the phone to my ear.

    I had the same problem just one hour ago.  I could not hear the person I's talking to unless I put it on speaker.
    I restarted my iPhone 4 and still the problem was there.
    And it automatically started working again in one hour.
    I would suggest to shake the iPhone a little and try to reboot and see if it's helping.

  • Screen saver is set to "never". -- This fails after a phone call and phone locks.

    We have set the screen saver to never. After a phone call the screen blanks and requires a on.off button push and unlocking. I am writing an ap for a mildly disabled person. They cannot operate the on.off button on the zte open. They also have problems with unlock mechanism for the screen. They can successfully click on icons and anything bigger than the standard 60X60 icons used by the os. I want them to simply be able to make a phone call with a preset number. Currently the application I have pushed to the device does the following. It displays a screen with three commonly called emergency numbers with large icons. The user chooses one of these icons and the dialer is brought up with number already dialed in. The user then simply touches the green dial button and the number is dialed. This works exactly once. After the first time the disabled user can not restart the application since the screen blanks and requires an on.off push and unlock to get back to previous state.
    Current problems.
    1. The screen blanks after a call and requires too many unachievable steps to recover the full app. Recovering the app requires normally a push on the on.off and the unlock procedure, then a reclick to start the application. This is unachievable by disabled user. Incoming calls always work. Both incomming and utgoing calls remove ability of disabled user to make an outgoing call without intervention from care-taker. If screen did not blank during a call, the application would work .
    2. Miscellaneous problems.
    a. typing keyboard is difficult for abled users and impossible for disabled user.
    b. application could be better if the dial step was removed. Wee understand the security problem.
    c. We would like option for oversized icons, oversized text which we would balance with fewer applications on a single page.
    Any solutions would be helpful. I/we are knowledgable programmers but we would prefer to write the application as a simple ap and not have to change the operating system in any way. If the above is only achievable with a change and reflashing OS we would consider that approach but currently we have not dived into that code and would prefer to avoid that approach. Is there a simple solution to force the phone to not turn off the display during or after a call?

    The suggestions have nothing to do with our problem. It is great that mozilla is working to provide access to the blind. The disability that we are dealing with is palsy and highly inaccurate and weak fingers. The application we have built allows for the dailer to be preloaded with important numbers the user may wish to call. The application has large buttons. The call button on the dialer is large enough. The problem is returning to the previous state and screen with the large buttons. If the phone screen blanks the user can not make a second call. If the application quits the user is barely able to restart the application. If the screen locks up after a call the user can not unlock the screen. The problem is in the interaction of the application with the dialer and the default behavior of the dialer that over-rides the user preferences and turns off the screen.

  • I have to reboot after every Facetime call

    Just as the title says ...
    Every time I finish a facetime call. If I try to dial again using the same computer and same connection, it just sits there dialling.
    The other party says it is connecting but nothing ever happens. I have to reboot my machine (updated with all patches) and then it will work fine again for 1 more call.
    Is there any way to stop this?

    Sounds like you have a similar issue to mine. I traced it down to the router. Just to test this, turn off and on Facetime again and see if it works (should work for a minute or two before it stops working again).
    I'm gonna post a new thread about this issue since I only have it on my desktop, but the laptop works perfectly fine.
    To overcome the issue, I placed the desktop in the router's "DMZ", turn off and on facetime and that solves the problem permanently.

  • C7280 caller id log prints afer every phone call can't turn it off in setup?

    I had to reset my fax options yesterday.  Now after every  incoming phone call a caller id page prints out.  Very annoying and wasting paper and ink.  Tried to turn it off in setup but it won't allow me to.  Everytime I select last transaction log or caller id report it just prints so I tried selecting help for each.  Gives me a message that no help is available for either caller id report and/or last transaction log. 
    It used to print a page when there were like 30 numbers,  now prints everytime I receive an incoming call.

    I can't actually find a setting that would control that. The firmware might have a glitch in it that's causing this. A hard reset should clear out the glitch. If it doesn't, a partial reset definitely will. The partial reset will clear all user settings and return the printer to a factory state, so it's up to you if you want to do it. I think it would help though. Let me know what happens.
    To do a hard reset:
    1. Make sure the printer is on.
    2. Pull the power cord from the printer.
    3. Pull the power cord from the wall.
    4. Wait 30 seconds.
    5. Plug the printer in and turn it on.
    To do a partial reset:
    1. Make sure the printer is on.
    2. Pull the power cord from the printer.
    3. Pull the power cord from the wall.
    4. Wait 30 seconds.
    5. Plug the power cord into the wall, but do not plug in the printer.
    6. Hold down the 3 and # buttons.
    7. While holding the buttons, plug in the printer.
    8. When the lights come on, let go of the buttons.

  • Wont wake up after a phone call.

    Per settings, my phone will auto lock every 5 minutes and will require a pass code after 15 minutes to log on back. When the phone is locked and if a receive a phone call and after I disconnect the call, the phone does not wakes up for sometime. "Slide to unlock" will look like frozen. But after a minute or two, it comes back normal.
    I tried restoring to factory defaults as well...but no luck. Any clue? Does anyone else have this problem?

    How are you ending the call? You can end a call two ways, one is to hit the End Call button on the screen when you take the phone away from your ear, the other is pressing the top of the phone.
