After falling red led for 3 seconds then dead

Hi,
after falling on the floor my blackberry 8800 will not start anymore..
When I insert battery or charger cable the red led lights up for 3 seconds then turns back off but the device is dead...it the anything I can do?
Iv found other topic's talking about red flashing light and firmware reload, is this the same thing?

Hey mau_mau,
You can try to reload your operating system but most likely all your data will be lost.
You can try to see if the device will connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Manager to back up data, but there is no guarantee it will be able to do so.
You can consult article KB11320 for instructions on how to do the load.
If you need further technical assistance, you can contact your wireless service provider.

Probably not a good sign especially given the age of the device. Are you able to get it into Disk Mode long enough so that you can restore it in iTunes?

Otherwise, it might be time to have the iPod serviced or replaced.

Red led 30 second

I was happy user of Blackberry Z10 phon till last two days.Suddenly during surfing in browser apears some thiny lines on screen and phone get frozzen.I thought something went wrong and phone will restart.Phone switch off and after that I cant switch on.I tried to full charge battery so I left phone for some hours with wall socker charger, nothing happend, normally charger get warm during charging this time was cold.I press power button for 1 minute and nothing happend, volume plus/minus together also nothing.Strange thing apear when I take battery out.When battery is out and I plug phone in to wall socked red led apear for 30 seconds and then turn off.when I press power on button also red led apear with constant light (Not blinking) for 30 second.This is when acumulato is out. i bought this phone on ebay so its a bit complicated.I reed that soulution can be reinstal syste but my laptop not recognize phone,blackbery link also not recognize phone, bb swiss army knife also not recognize, what to do? Maybe is some black berry guru which have program to make reanimation for my lovely phone? please help me what to do with my phone to start work ?Maybe somebody know or have some diagnostic,developer, program which allow me to get info what is wrong with this phone and when is software help me to fiz this problem?

like I see on your photo phone is not connected to charger or PC and you have red led. My Z 10 just have red led when is connected to pc or to wall charger without battery inside.I don't know why it happends ??
I checked other forums and you can check another solution- charge your phone 2h then make break for 15 min and then another 2 hours.After that you press start button or plus & minus of volume on side for 15-30 second and maybe phone will start.Another option is try to update phone just via website in internet explorer,when you "Google" you can find blackberry update autoloader and then you connect your phone and after some seconds you unplug and then maybe phone run again.I used leaked version of OS, I can't find some apps in BB World and I use them to have connection with family thats why my Z 10 is dead.I stay in touch with one guy from India and he said it's hardware problem and he still dont know how to fix it.
I hope my advice maybe will be helpfull and your BB will be live again.

Playbook will not boot - solid red LED for 10s

My Playbook went dead last week. Put it on the wall charger for many hours and the thing will not boot. Now, all I get when I plug it in to the wall charger, or computer USB cable is the LED lights up red for about 10 seconds, then nothing.
I can't find this behavior listed anywhere on any site, and of course my complimentary BB support has expired. Help me out before I bring this brick back to the store.

I called, and apparently, the 90 commplentary support starts when you register your PlayBook, because I was able to get a support ticket from the friendly voice on the other end.
Also, I gathered that Blackberry would handle any warranty returns themselves (though you'd probably need a proof of purchase/reciept).
I had to run to a meeting, so I'll have to call back. Problem not solved yet, but progress.

Can't acess Bank of America account Firefox 36.0.1. Flashes for second then blank

BofA site comes up for a fraction of a second then screen goes blank and loading circle spins. All this after 36.0.1 update. Windows 7. Other browsers have no problems with Bank of America site , Cleared cookies and cache but no Joy

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

Luna BH-220 Flashing red led for hours

I just received my two Luna head sets. The first one charged up fine and did the NFC pair no problem, but the second unit seems to be having a problem.
The second one just flashes the red led when it is in the cradle. The Led on the cradle is green. The red led on the ear piece turns off if I remove the charger, but just returns to flashing when I plug it back in. This has gone on for the past 5 hours. How do I get this unit reset? What does the flashing LED mean? Both units had very sparse information in the box and I can not find the user manual anywhere on the Nokia support site. The Luna isn't even listed in the support accesories section. Maybe it's too new??.

UPDATE: finally managed to get nokia to return my THIRD broken nokia bh-220 bluetooth device, as I purchased it from amazon.
Filled out the necessary online form and sent it to FONEBIZ for the repair (authorised nokia repairs).
Two days later, I receive a phone call saying that the device is NOT covered and I am to pay a whopping $170 for them to REPLACE my green device for a BLACK ONE. (See attached photo for proof). Please bare in mind that I only paid $57 for my green nokia luna BRAND NEW. So where FONEBIZ get thier estimate from is simply outrageous.
When I contacted Nokia, they said their customer service represented was wrong, and she shouldn't have given me the details to return the item. Once again NOKIA, WHERE ARE YOUR BRAINS HERE.?

DO NOT BUY NOKIA PRODUCTS PERIOD
DO NOT RETURN ITEMS TO FONEBIZ THEY WILL SIMPLY RIP YOU OFF, AND ARE CLEARLY INCOMPETENT AT REPAIRING BLUETOOTH DEVICES. SO I WOULDN'T EVEN ATTEMPT TO LET THEM REPAIR A PHONE.
NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL ME OR MY FAMILY PURCHASE A NOKIA PRODUCT. I AM DISGUSTED WITH THEM.
And I encourage, whoever is reading this, to just acknowledge she sheer hell I've been through just for a simple cheap bluetooth device, and just make sure your aware of the risk when buying a more expensive product. Nokia didn't give a second thought to my bad luck. Why would they treat you any different.

Red LED Light Remains On

The battery is fully charged and disconnected from charger. When hibernating, the red LED light constantly remains on. When the phone is being used, the red LED light does not appear.
What is wrong? How can this be fixed? Thanks much for help.

I'm a total newbie to smartphones. Based on your question, I cleared all the Notifications and the red LED disappeared. Then sent myself an email to test the blue LED light and it is now blinking. So, the problem might be solved but don;t know why the red LED constantly displayed after charging the battering to 100%.

4 red LEDs on D-Bracket

I have a MSI K6 Delta board with AMD Athlon XP 2500 CPU and MSI Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 graphics.
When i first built the system all i got was fans and lights, no signal to monitor, and the D-Bracket reported 4 red LEDs. I then reset the CMOS jumper and all worked fine for about 8 hours. At that point it just froze (no cursor movement, no keyboard and the num and caps lock lights wouldn't change)
I hard reset the system and it is now doing the original problem of not booting with 4 red LEDs. I have tried resetting the CMOS jumper again, but it makes no difference.
The processor in this system worked fine in the motherboard it used to be in (several hours before moving into this board).
All power lines are connected (20pin and 4 pin) and i have tried removing all unessessary components like HDDs, CDs etc...
I think it is also worth noting that the PSU is a Q-Tec 350W. I am almost sure that this is the problem, do you agree?

Problem burning red led constantly flashes

Hi all this is my first post in this forum....( NEWBIE )
as mentioned in subject Problem burning red led constantly flashes then I recieve a message " error reading data"
the dvd burner is a MSI ms 8404a. using Nero6 and princo DVD -R Win XP-PRO
I have had no problems in the past burning with this media and I'm halfway through a stack of 50...
I dont have any other media here atmo so any help would be great..
Also upgraded firmware with msilive although it said I had the current version..

Ok just burnt a cd using nero6 while burning the red led flashed costantly, when finished cd ran perfectly ....??? anyone want ABBA GOLD??
Im sure as that when I used to burn DVD's the red led was solid not flashing....H E L P ....!

I don't understand why the light would be solid and not flashing when burning.
If this is a common problem, it's a problem for me because i'm about to order two MSI DR16-B DVD-RW drives, tell me, is this the drive you have in your system? The one with the problem?
If so i could use some advance warning of the problems i might face.
The previous post is correct, make sure that your Operating System hasn't put the drive into PIO mode, it should be UDMA Mode 2 at least.

sorry for my bad english. I hope you can help me.
I have iPod Shuffle 4th gen. I have it for one year. When I today tried to charge it, after connected to my PC (in the right USB port) I heard sound of connecting device but in Windows in My Computer nothing happened. On the iPod the diode emitted the red light for 5 seconds and then turned off. I have iTunes and iTunes doesn't recognize the iPod too.
Does anybody know what is wrong?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Update: my phone's connecting to the WiFi again. I don't know what did the trick. I did nothing since reinstalling the software. It hadn't worked then, it is now. I tried connecting to my dad's phone's hotspot( he uses a Moto G), and it worked. I then tried connecting to the WiFi at a friend's house, and when I came back home, my phone was able to connect to my WiFi! Is it of any significance that my friend's router doesn't require a password? My issue has been resolved( for now; I hope I'm not counting my chickens before they've hatched). For anyone facing a similar issue, I suggest you try everything I did:
1. Turn your router off for a minimum of 30 seconds, turn it back on and try connecting.
2. Click on the WiFi network you are connected to, scroll to the bottom, tap "Renew Lease".
3. Do a soft and hard reset.
4. Reset network settings.
5. Back your data up, erase all content from settings menu, restore from backup.
6. Reinstall your software( put it in recovery mode).
I am not sure which of the above worked for me. Make sure you try everything. If none of the above works, take it to a genius bar or an authorised service provider. Good luck! :)
