    Events are organisation for those who can't really be bothered. They are automatic - based entirely on Date and Time the camera records the photos as taken.
    You can move photos between Events, you can Merge Events, you can Rename them and sort them in various ways except one: You cannot manually sort in an Event as Events are all automated.
    If you want to manually sort in an Event then you've outgrown Events as an organising tool. Now it's time to look at albums (Where you can manually sort) which are much more flexible than Events as an organising tool.

    I have followed all the instructions for uninstalling all the componets of Itunes in order to reinstall Itunes but I am still unable to download Itunes installer or setup.  How do I fix this issue?

    If Larry's suggestion re iPLM doesn't help there's always the last ditch effort solution:
    Starting over from scratch with new library
    Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
    1. Open the library package like this.
    2. Launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
    3. Drag the subfolders of the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from the open iPhoto Library package into the open iPhoto window a few at a time.
    This will create a new library with the same Events (but not necessarily the same Event names) as the original library but will not keep the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects.
    Note:  your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

    After following setup guide my Airport TC 2TB will not get past the amber flashing light. Message is "an unexpected error occurred. pllease try again." 
    my cable modem allows me to connect to internet
    my Airport allows me to connect to the internet while it is searching and preparing my network.  When I cancel out after the error message above I lose internet connectivity.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Completely isolate the Mac and the TC from the network.. plug the TC lan port by ethernet to the Mac.
    Factory reset the TC.
    Factory reset TC Gen 5 or AE Gen 6
    Unplug your AE/TC .. hold in reset and power the TC/AE back on.. without releasing the reset.. wait until status led flashes rapidly.
    Make sure in the ethernet settings you have ipv6 set to link local and the dhcp set for ip. It should give you an address of 10.0.1.2
    Open the airport utility, using the top menu.. File, Configure Other.
    Type in the address, 10.0.1.1 .. no password is required at this stage.
    Click ok and the main setup will open.
    Set all the names short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
    Set the TC to the right mode .. dhcp+nat for router or off (bridge mode) for bridge.
    Set wireless to create a wireless network.
    No luck then the TC is faulty and needs to be returned.

  • Time Capsule does not work and i can not not mount it anymore, even after follow all apples instructions at FAQs

    My Time Capsule suddenly stopped working, and i can not even mount it anymore. When i ask for a backup, the time machine keeps looking for a disk with no success.
    I tried all the FAQs suggestions:
    1) I change the name of the disk using Airport Utility;
    2) I updated it using Airport Utility.
    Now i can not even try to erase the disk because after to update it, the disk in not listed anymore.
    Now i can just read a "internal disk needs repair" message. that wasn't there before, having in mind that the first response was "there is no space at the disk for a backup".
    What can i do?

    The TC has a fault..
    Power it down and let it cool off overnight. Power it on again the next morning and check if it works.. no luck factory reset.. do all the tests quickly as you have 10-20min before the Temp rises to kill it again.
    No luck it is dead.. give us the actual model number.. A1xxx from the base.
    How old is it?? Beyond 3years they do become dodgy.

  • After following all help directions still getting synch error

    Email, account & syncing not recognized.
    Any time I want to sync it encounters an error. I follow instructions on how to delete files, change password but when entering the right info it gives me the error again.
    I've been researching and fixing this issue for a couple of months now but not luck :(
    I'm thinking that I'm doing all this from a computer that is not the one I open up the account with. Although I do have the original key, still doesn't recognizes it.
    As a matter of fact I do not even have the option to Pair a Device in Tools>Options>Sync or enter the Key
    When asked to reset the password, I properly follow the instructions but the user id &/or password are not recognized.
    This is very frustrating and I've spent too much time. If I didn't have so many bookmarks that I use regularly, I would delete this account and start from scratch.
    Please help me.

    I haven't used Firefox's sync feature, so I won't claim this is the best solution, but if you are only worried about your Firefox bookmarks, maybe you could export them (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer), reinstall Firefox, set up sync, and import your bookmarks?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
    How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    You can re-download content purchased from the app store using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
    Why do you want it on your computer, apps won't run on a computer.

    If you are trying the reset link to your rescue email account and it's not working (Apple may have been doing maintenenace) then have you tried clearing your browser's history and cache and/or trying a different browser ?
    If that doesn't work either then you can try contacting iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
    e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
    or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
