After format

I do a format to my mac after that i lost my imovie and iphoto app what can i do? when i go to app store i shoud buy them again

I found it just a second ago when I was browsing dead files which I saved up before format...
everything is on MSI website but really difficult to find (maybe because I use phone)

Have you try moniter this action using process monitor? To find detailed information about what blocked from accessing, Process monitor is a relatively better choice for you.

HT201250 How to recover iPhoto Library after format of hard drive?

I've recently reinstalled Lion onto my hard drive but I forgot to backup my iPhoto library. Is there any way of recovering this library? I also have an external hard drive that had Time Machine Backups but that hard drive has since gone through formats as well. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

SOLUTION : iPhoto folder recovered after formatting hard drive by mistake.
I was able for recover my iPhoto library ( intact ) after formatting the hard drive by mistake.
On top of that I formatted it in FAT32 format. My iPhoto folder was huge 100GB with file and movies of all sort of formats. I kept it on a secondary hard drive of 500 GB. one day I was formatting flash drive for somebody which was 500Mb, seems similar to my 500GB and I formatted my hard drive by mistake. I realized the mistake a week after the person called me and said there is nothing in flash disk and I find a single file on my hard drive. Needless to say the earth disappeared underneath me. All my pictures for 10 years , 8000 thousand of them, cherished memories all gone. But was I determined to find them back and I know they are intact somewhere. My biggest fear was that formatting on MS-dos format might have really deleted them , but they were there. and here is how I got them back.
First I tried the Data recuse 3 software. I got the photos back, but they were all jumbled up. Long numerical file names and original dates were gone. No way I could sort it out back to the way it was before . So my target was to recover the iPhoto folder intact.
- I bought an external hard drive with 1tb space to retrieve the data.
- The software which did the miraculous job is called " STELLAR PHOENIX MAC DATA RECOVERY" .
- I ran a deep scan all night and came up with many volumes. volume-1 was the MS dos , volume 2 was a mac system,
- I tried MS dos volume first and there was nothing on it.
- I tried the 2 volume with mac system. It got all my files and some other system file.
- I could see the iPhoto folder and click on that only to recover. After that I went for my doc and other files later.
- It took hours to retrieve my iPhoto folder intact, The folder size was right and file were there in master folder.
- I checked in FINDER , opening iPhoto with "show content " and all my picture file were there with original date.
- BUT when tried opening it in iPhoto , there was nothing. it keep showing the wait icon and nothing shows up. Empty iPhoto.
- I tired starting iPhoto , holding command -option and tried building and repairing database, nothing worked.
- Then I got this software " iPhoto library manager" .
- downloaded, installed it and pointed it towards my iPhoto folder.
- It asked for space to rebuild a new iPhoto library with existing picture and folder.
I had another external hard drive , I used it to make a rebuild iPhoto library.
and there I GOT IT. only took three night of pain.
IMPORTANT:
I never touched my original formatted hard drive. Don't write anything on it until you are sure you have recovered everything. open and see files with your own eyes.
- I recovered the iPhoto on another hard drive and then built it on another hard drive . Yes its pain in the neck but well worth fixing your stupid mistake of not making a back up in the first place.
I hope this helps all who are looking for iPhoto recovery and their lovely memories.

HFS File system with case sensitive is not accepted to install creative cloud? Is there any other way but install the whole MacOS again after formatting the drive. I cannot belief that Adobe is so bad to it's Mac customers..

After many hours setting up OS10.10 from he scratch the last step should be installing m Adobe apps again.
trying this I always get the error message that creative cloud does not accept case sensitive file systems and I shall use another drive.
This means I have to set up the whole machine again after formatting without case sensitive but then having copy problems with my NAS?
I cannot belief that Adobe is really demanding this. If so this would show how urgent this market need alternatives and some more competition...

You formatted your computer's hard drive? If so, it's like starting with a new computer unless you restored all of your content from a backup but it does;t sound like that's the case.

Make a backup of everything you want to keep (your iTunes Library in particular) then restore from the back-up after formatting.
However, do you really need to go to all the effort of re-formatting? Perhaps some basic PC maintenance would save you the hassle and give you the same result?

Did you reset the password of the Firefox account or did you still remember the password?
The new Sync version used in Firefox 29 and later still uses a Sync key to encrypt data locally before uploading, but this Sync key is generated internally from the password of your Firefox account, so you no longer need to worry about it.
This also means that the Sync key changes when you change (reset) the password of the Firefxo account and you lose all data stored on the Sync server when doing that.

Error screen after formatting my macbook

I formatted my MacBook Air a few days ago in order to decongest it because it showed I had barely any disk space left despite me removing almost everything from the computer. Before formatting it, I backed the hard drive up to an external drive in Mac OS Extended (as recommended on a post). After formatting the laptop, I was taken to a menu which had options such as Restore from time machine backup or reinstall the OS etc. I chose to reinstall the OS since the reason I formatted the paptop was because of the issue with disk space, and restoring from the backup will essentially just take up all the space again. After about 4 hours of the reinstallation process, the installation stopped and the computer froze. I decided to restart the computer. The computer did not automatically go back to that menu, so I pressed Cmd + R as recommended online. This took me back to the menu and at this point I needed my computer to work so I may do assignments. I chose to restore the backup instead. After an almost complete restoration, I got an error message stating that the restore cannot be completed. Baffled, I restarted the computer. When I restarted it, it said "the computer was restarted due to a problem" or something along those lines. Since then, right after displaying that message it will give me an error message which I have attached though a picture. Immediately after showing that code, the computer restarts and does the same. Over and over again. I am a student and do not have access to funds or an apple store, which is why I decided to format it myself instead of seeking professional help. Please help me understand what is going on and how I may fix it. Thank you.

Do a backup. Boot to the Recovery Volume (command - R on a restart or hold down the option/alt key during a restart and select Recovery Volume). Run Disk Utility Verify/Repair and Repair Permissions until you get no errors. Reformat the drive using Disk Utility/Erase Mac OS Extended (Journaled), then click the Option button and select GUID. Then re-install the OS.

I'm sorry for my bad english, my problem is that I want the program I open in a new window to be avilable in full screen mode. Before I uppdated my os to Montaine Lion I could choose wide under screen in settings. I'll take an ex for you. When I play poker online I want to see the tabel in full screen but I don't manage to fix that. Do you Sir have any idea???

how to install leopard again after formating hd and now it just allows me to download yosemite. When i insert the original cd of leopard it doesnt restart from it!!!
I made a mistake formating hd without creating a bootable disk... So i started the process to install yosemite, then i formated the hd and forgot that the installer was no more in applications because no more applications forlder!!! after the format it just allows me to install directly from app store which is taking 18 hours to download.
I tried to restart with original leopard cd but it didnt recognize it and jump back to yosemite install from app store..
What should i do?

How did you even manage to start installing Yosemite? What operating system did you have before you upgraded? It wasn't Leopard, since you need Snow Leopard (10.6) to get to the App Store.

You will need to perform an Internet Recovery or be able to boot the computer using a Snow Leopard 10.6.3 or later DVD. For the former:
Restart the computer and at the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION-R keys until you see a globe appear in the gray startup screen. This may take a little while so be patient. You need to have an internet connection for this to work - preferably using Ethernet.
After a fairly long period of time - 15 minutes or more - the recovery screen will appear. Select Disk Utility from the main menu, and click on the Continue button.
1. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
2. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
3. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
4. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
5. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
6. After formatting is done quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Install OS X from the main menu and click on the Continue button. Follow the onscreen instructions to install OS X onto the internal drive.
