After fully charged, the battery down to zero after 2 days without using it?

Is it normal?  As I have fully charged the ipad and stand it for 2 days without using it,   The battery drops to zero?

Try a reset:
1. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together) for about 10 seconds
2. Until you see the Apple logo (very important)

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.
Anything else I could try, or am I doomed!
All of your help is much appreciated, thanks

  • Is it best to fully charge the battery when you first get your laptop

Is it best to fully charge the battery when you first get your laptop?
I remember buying a bluetooth earpiece and I had to do that in order get the most out of the battery due to the memory it has or something like that..
    are macbooks the same??

I agree. I HATE having to wait for the battery to charge on my new Palms and Macs before using them - I guess GOD teaches us patience in strange ways (hee, hee).

  • Do you have to fully charge the battery before first use?

I just bought a macbook air and i'm wondering if I should wait for the battery to fully charge before I turn the computer on (like you usually do with phones, cameras etc.)
or can I just plug in the AC charger and get started right away?

    Hi Alice,
I recommend you check out this article for some advice.

A good practice that I follow is to do a battery calibration right away and then plan to do one about every 4-6 weeks.

  • My iPhone is completely off!  It isn't working, even after I charged the battery.  Help!!!

I woke up this morning to a blacked out phone!  It was fine last night, but I needed to charge it, as it was about 40% charged.  I tried to plug my iPhone in and nothing happened!  I attempted to leave my phone plugged in, but that didn't work.  I came to work, tried to charge my phone, but that didn't work!!  I didn't drop the phone in water or liquid, but I'd guess that my battery went all the way out?  My iPhone will not even turn on!  I thought it had been disconnected, but I paid my bill!!  Has anyone experienced this before?  Can someone help me?!?!???

I got it working again!  I pressed both the home and the off/on buttons and the apple icon came on, in which my iPhone rebooted!  WHEW!!!  I'm not home to hook it to my computer, but I'll try to do so, when I return home and see what happens...

  • Why would an iPhone6 battery go dead in one day without use?

My iPhone6 starts the day with a full charge and without even using it ends up around 20% by evening. HELP!

Mmy first suspicion would be that you have, perhaps inadvertinantly, setup some app that is continuing to run in the background.  Check your battery usage by app in settings (Settings, general, usage, battery usage).

  • Correct way to charge the battery

I apologize if I'm repeating a question.  In the manual for the Palm Pre Plus, it states that you're able to let the battery charge overnight.  My phone only takes about an hour to fully charge from 20 percent.  I'm afraid if I let the battery charge any longer than that I run the risk of overcharging and damaging the battery, which was the situation with my previous cell phones with lithium batteries.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you very  much.

Here are a few tips for extending battery life:
Avoid exposing the battery to extreme heat and cold.
For the first 3 charge cycles, fully charge the battery overnight and allow it to fully discharge before recharging (battery conditioning).
Charge and re-condition a battery after an extended idle period.
A Lithium-ion battery may be damaged by extensive overcharging (continuously on a charger for more than 24 hours).
Keep the phone, batteries, and the contact terminals clean. The contacts can easily be cleaned with a pencil eraser.
Use the battery. If possible, avoid letting your battery sit idle for long periods of time.
Use only the phone options and accessories that are really needed.

  • How many hours does a brand new battery last after fully charged. I have a late 2008 Macbook Pro.

How many hours does a brand new battery last after fully charged. I have a late 2008 Macbook Pro.

clintonfrombirmingham is right, there is no way to exactly tell. But from personal experience, a new battery on a 2008 will last for about 2 1/2 hours with a higher screen brightness and doing something taxing to the battery (like gaming or running lots of 3D programs). But if you're just listening to music with the brightness all the way down, and no programs running, you could get up to 12 hours. So for average use, it should last you a whole business day (assuming you don't use it more than 30% 0f the time). Hope this kind of gives you more of an idea of what to expect:)

  • My battery dies quicker than before, even without using the phone .aslo it shuts down unxpectedly (sometimes shuts down at 30% then i cant restart it until i blog it to the charger) and sometimes jumps from 40% to 20% or from 20% to 3%

    hi!
my battery dies quicker than before, even without using the phone
aslo it shuts down unxpectedly (sometimes shuts down at 30% then i cant restart it until i blog it to the charger)
and sometimes jumps from 40% to 20% or from 20% to 3%
i have done many things people recommanded it for me like :
restore : i've done two restores and it gets better for the first 1-2 weeks then it gets worse than before.
also deleted my music list (19gb) in order to make this better (as recommended) but it still the same
my screen brightness is always ALWAYS low , almost the lowest.
i close the apps when i finish using them ALL OF THEM
i dont use the camera and flash , almost rarely. just to save battery.
i dont use the location service always.
i dont charge my phone until it shuts down and i dont unblog it until it reachs 100%
    basically i have tried eveything.

Install or Reinstall OS X from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Erase the hard drive:
      1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
      2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the
left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
      3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on
the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass. Click on
the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
      4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • TS3274 After charging the Battery it is not maintaining the charge

After charging my battery on my iPad 2 and not using the iPad the battery loses it's total charge. How do I fix or replace the battery.

Is your iPad 2 still within the 1-year warranty period?
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • Fully charged the ipod works for 2 mins, and then shuts down, why?!

Fully charged the ipod works for 2 mins, gives the battery warning and then shuts down. I took it to an apple store, they said battery is fine, restored ipod to original settings and it still wont work! Help!

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. This time be more persistent.

Hi, had the same problem with my ipad.
First of all I would suggest to close all apps which might be opened (maybe one is working without that you know).
To close the apps press twice in a row the home button and keep a finger on the first app which appesars on the lower band until the entire row starts moving. then press the red MINUS on all oyur apps in order to close them all.
Then switch on and off your phone and see whether the battery is still draining.
if this continues try to keep you phone on a flight modus to see if this is due to internet connection.
maybe you should review some of your settings, as notifications, bluetooth, push services etc. (see specific topics on how to save battery).
If you still have not solved your problem try to restart you phone as a new one (after that you can re-download all your apps). 8do this by using itunes)
remind to save your data (e.g. pictures) prior to this operation.

I do not understand what "My iPod touch G5 standby after fully charge 2 hr 58 min." means.
Also % battery is not accurate for an iPod. It fluctuates.

Either the power brick is damaged, or the charging circuit is on the blink, or both. Either way, a trip to the Apple Store or the Apple Authorized Service Provider is in order, as this ain't no bargain basement toy.
In the meantime, can attempt an SMC Reset to see if it helps.
