After getting a new iPhone 4S, one of my apps won't work

I have just had my iPhone 4S replaced by apple and have restored everything from my old phone. One of my apps now tries to load but then shuts. It still works on m iPad. Should I delete it on my mobile and reinstall?  I am worried I'll lose any progress and it will start from scratch again. I am using iCloud with the iPad and iPhone but don't really understand how that all works. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

my only workaround for more reliable Push email was to turn off 3G and WiFi and only use Edge. Keep in mind you will miss many calls, since Edge can only do data or phone not both. There is no priority either so it's a crap shoot if you will get any calls.
3G has gotten better over the last few weeks, no where near acceptable, but at least it's improving. I hope the same happens in your area.

    Did you create a new Apple ID? Or did you update your existing one. Apps are forever tied to the Apple ID under which they were purchased. If you created a new Apple ID, you will still need to use the old one to update apps. It doesn't matter that the address is no longer one you used. The thing you want to do is change the Apple ID to the new email address.

    Help! Wondering if anyone can help me or offer advice. I got a new iPhone 5S today with iOS 7.1 and it won't play in my car. I have a 2012 Infiniti G37x. My iPhone 4S had no issues playing. I plug it in via the USB port and it will charge, but the screen displays the message "no songs found." It won't let me navigate to any other choice. So frustrated!!!

    Thanks so much cmdey! I was actually able to get mine working as well, but by just connecting the bluetooth in the car and once that was set up the usb worked fine. I had actually calle Infinit and the guy I spoke to said that the 5S or any iOS later than 6.0 is not supported. I then went to the Apple store for another issue and asked about it there with no answers. Finally, I went by my dealer and one of the service guys there fixed it with the bluetooth. Thanks again!

  • TS2529 I recently got a new iphone and some of my apps don't work anymore. When I try to open them they either crash immediately or my phone asks for my iTunes Store password and then the app crashes. Any ideas? Help!

    I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the app but nothing happens. When I try to open the app, it either crashes immediately or asks me for my iTunes password and the the app does nothing or crashes. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions? Also, it seems that my phone asks me for my iTunes password randomly, when I'm not trying to open apps.
    The app that I have the most problem with is the Simpsons game. I've tried to contact EA as well as apple and gotten nowhere.

    If you get an error that says can't backup, try moving the existing backup file to a safe location and thry again. again. You can find the location of the backup file here:

  • I have an iPhone 5 and after upgrading to iOS 7 my chase and PayPal apps won't work.

    Ever since I did the upgrade I haven't been able to log in to chase and paypal. I have remove them and add them again but still can't log in. I try log in thru my wife's iPhone and I'm able to log in.  Please help!!! N

    Is your wife's iPhone using the same version of iOS?
    Sounds to me like it is more an issue with the app than something to do with iOS. Have you contacted the developers (via app support page)?

    It sounds as though you are experiencing an issue with an Apple ID and authorizations. Based on your post, it sounds like you are familiar with the authorizing and deauthorizing process. The Apple ID in question (your wife's email) may be originating from the iPhone you are attempting to update. Is it possible that your wife created an Apple ID or iCloud account which is signed in on that iPhone?     After getting a new router, my ipod touch is asking for a password.  I was able to put in the router's passcode on all my other wireless stuff, but the ipod won't accept it.  I thought I had made too many attempts, but I've reset it and it still won't let me on.  I have no idea what the password is or why it is now asking for one. Help!!

    Look at the manual for the router.  The password is on the router.  Then change the password in the router to something other than the default one and use that password when the iPod asks for it (it will only ask once, once it has the password/router combo in its memory, it will remember it)

    Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
    You must have a verified billing address & be located in the country whose store you are trying to use.

    changes. Unfortunately this was over a protracted period of time and I cannot recall what was changed. Apparently my 3Gs is out of
    its warranty and so they cannot help me unless I pay £25....

    I just bought 2 new iPhone 4 one for and my husband. I want to sync them on the same computer without it runing my sisters already syned 3s. When tried syning my old and i mean very old iPhone's contacts it said i could only merge them with my sister contacts and now i have her contacts on my phone and it sent my all her un needed apps as well. I want to be able to sync but not have her things placed in my phone or have anything erased from hers either. Can anyone help me?

    By far the simplest way to do this is create separate accounts on the computer for each person.  That way, you each log into your own separate account, sync your own device(s) to your own contacts/calendars/apps/music and so forth.

    Gone through 3 'replacements' now. First (original) had an antenna problem, the second one had pixel issues and the present one has awful, truly awful battery drainage! Enough is enough! Getting tired of all this. Has someone ever managed to get a new iphone 4 replacement which is 'new' and not been refurbished? I was told last time after complaining to the apple care CS that the express service they provide doesn't use 'refurbished' iphones and has a seperate stock. But thats obviously not true since the 'express' one has turned out to be a dod as well!

I've read the warranty terms and other threads on here regarding it but I wanted to know if someone HAD personally gone through something similiar and escalated the matter to the higher CS at AppleCare. If yes, did you get a different result and what was it? Thing is the last time this happened and I got send my present 'replacement' iphone 4 (one with current battery issues), I fell for the whole 'Express Service' (which apparently doesn't use refurbished iphones). This seems a blatant lie since I find it hard to believe that a new phone would have such serious battery issues. Have I just been really unlucky or is this a common theme with replacements?
    Would be interesting to know the views of anyone who received a 'refurbished' replacement and is still going strong. Or anyone who has actually managed to speak to the higherups at AppleCare? (people who would think twice before lying to your face since the CS I've spoken to say anything to end the call).

    Yes. The apps are not pre-installed, but rather you are prompted to download them the first time you launch the App Store in iOS 7:
