Try cleaning the lens and see if that will restore functionality to the DVD drive. Use a DVD lens cleaning disk, if you have a can of compressed air, shoot some into the slot or wrap a fine microfiber cloth (eyeglasses cleaning cloth) around a business card and insert it gently inside the slot.
If no success, make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar and get a free diagnosis from them.

This is a user to user forum; there is no one from Apple here to get back to you. Apps and music are forever associated with the Apple ID account they were purchased with. There is no way to transfer them to a different account. That is why Apple lets you change the email address associated with your account without having to get a new account. If you didn't do this, but instead got a completely new account, you are out of luck. You can still go back to the old account and just get a new email address for it.

Even after I update an app I've bought I can't get the upgrades badge to go away.

It happens with almost every program I update in the Mac App store. I update the program. It says it's updaded. the the badge shows that I have 1, 2, or 3 updates left.....they are the same updates as before I updated them. This doesn't just happen with one app. It happens with different apps at different times. Anyone know how to fix? Thanks in advance.

After the phone restarts, see if you see the same behavior. If you do, the next step to restore from a backup. If that doesn't help, then restore as a new device. If you have to go all the way through restore as a new device and it does not work, then it could be a hardware issue. I've not seen any other posts about screen issues after updates, so one of these should fix it unless there is a problem with the screen.

You can't download it to your PC. The only way is to connect Apple TV to your computer and restore via iTunes (which will load the current firmware).
Make sure you are following the steps exactly (unplug all cables, then connect micro usb cable)
Make sure you are connecting directly to computer, not a keyboard port or USB hub
Try a different cable
Also may want to check any firewall and security software installed on the system.

That's not the correct port. It should be 993 for incoming.
If you signed into iCloud from the System Preferences, it should automatically create the iCloud account for you in Mail. Sounds like it is an account you already had set up for MMe in Mail.
Open Mail preferences, open the Accounts tab, disable that account in the advanced pane.
Open Sys Prefs, open the iCloud tab, and sign out of iCloud. Then sign back in and see if a new iCloud account is automatically created.
