I am also on my forth hard drive on the same model.
When I unpacked the computer, the hard drive did not include OS X either. Actually, it was completely blank. Did not even have a partition table! I have also had random problems with the machine not charging.
I have replaced the drive myself with an SSD after figuring the Apple Certified technicians were incompetent. Now even the SSD is starting to fail
I have bought an HP laptop and setup Ubuntu on it. Hope it turns out better than my previous four various Mac models. All have had various repeating hardware issues that Apple Certified technicians have been unable or unwilling to correct.

Hi Eric,
As J Potter mentioned you will have to Sign Out and then Sign In to the Apps.
The steps you need to follow are:
1. Launch the application which says you are in trial mode.
2. On the Creative Cloud application trial screen, click on "License this Software".
3. Sign in with your Adobe ID associated with your Creative Cloud membership.

I have a new iphone 6 (64 Gb) that i have had for roughly 2 weeks. Last night i plugged in my charger that came in the box with the phone and plugged it into an outlet that is not used for anything else. My phone suddenly stopped charging and gave me the message that the accessory is not supported. The box of the charger seemed hot at the time. Thinking it was a faulty cord, i borrowed a friends charger today (also the original apple charger) and it would not charge and gave me the same message. warranty will cover it. Did you try only by changing the power adapter or did you change both cable and power adapter?

Go into Sys. Pref , and power settings and UNcheck "put hard disks to sleep" on both power tab and battery tab.
When on projector use with your Air and a presentation, dont close the monitor or sleep your Air.

I inherited an Ipad 2 from a company that I had worked for in the UK but had closed down.
It was an IPAD2 locked to the Vodafone UK network by a Vodafone SIM Card.
No account details were or are available for the original account.
So I removed the Vodafone SIM Card and then factory reset wirelessly using my wireless at home.
I updated the system to IOS 7.0.2.
I was then sold under a contract from EE another UK carrier a SIM card for the Ipad and when inserted the Ipad says Sim not applicable.
I checked with Vodafone and EE shop and they said they cant unlock it, I checked with Apple who said the same!
So I have an IPad I can use wirelessly at home, a sim card from EE which is an u
locked Vodafone carrier mode and all 3 multinational companies say they cannot unlock it from Vodafone to enable me to use the EE sim.
What can I do to sort this mess out? Please help!

That's what the moderator in several older threads in Vodaphone's forum said was all that is necessary. Carriers often won't unlock for anyone but the original account holder, so if you don't have the details of the company's account, that might be the barrier in which case there will not be any way to get the iPad officially unlocked.

Safari for Mac, webpage with Java applet, drag and drop area not working.

At my company, we have a web page that our users access to submit media files, (QuickTime, Audio, images...), for transcoding for delivery. The web page consists of a java applet, with an area that our users drag and drop media file into.
After updating to Safari 5.1.2, the applet will not work anymore. Instead, the browser will "open" the quicktime and play it, instead of allowing the Java Applet to do it's job.
CAN I TURN THIS FUNCTIONALITY OFF??
I read that Safari 5.1.2, (when it was initially released), broke something with the THEN current version of Java, and everyone was awaiting the latest update (build 1.6.0_29) to fix it. Unfortunately, this update did not fix my issue with the functionality of dragging and dropping media files into the web page.
It seems to me, as if, there is an over-arching functionality setting (or something) that needs to be either turned off, or in some other way DE-prioritized.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hey Peter, I think your missing the big picture. Your iPod is past repair, corrosion, is a real issue with water damage, but your problem took a turn for the worst when you attempted to use a microwave to dry it out. I see you found another post from July 2012, where someone else tried to nuke there iPod, and got the same results you have-- a dead iPod. The blue sparks, burnt smell and still not working all confirms one thing... Your iPod is not repairable. What the water didn't damage the microwave did. By attempting to microwave, you for all intensive purposes hit your iPod with an EMP, (Electro-Magnetic Pulse), in the first split second you overloaded the workings of your iPod and burned it up! There is is no way of known which circuits and components have been damaged and to what extend. You may be able to get a refurbished iPod, but it is unclear that Apple will allow it, because of the type of damage, it's not like this was an accident, you deliberately put it in the microwave in a misguided attempt to dry it out. when the microwave turned on it hit ever chip, diode, capacitor etc. with more power than it was designed to handle, in short; you baked it, burned it up, fried it, call it what you want, but it's not going to work! To attempt to repair is a meaningless gesture, (and probably will cost more than it's worth), chalk this one up as bad ideas 101-- learn from it, move on, and get yourself a new iPod. Iphone Upgraded to 3.1.3 and now its not working

I just upgraded few days ago from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 and now my iphone will not get out of the recovery loop.. I tried the 2 restores using Win7 and the other 2 on a MAC and it will not go out of restore.
Is there a way i can go back to 3.1.2 because it was working fine. I only upgraded because Itunes checked online and there was an upgrade.

Does the restore appear to complete successfully?
Did you run into any issues while following the suggestions in the article that I linked earlier?
If you haven't already, try restoring the iPhone from another computer.
Also, you can make a reservation with a Genius at a local Apple retail store here: http://www.apple.com/ca/retail/geniusbar/. The Genius can generally replace the iPhone on the spot, if there is a hardware issue.
