Updated to LR 5.4, images now importing extremely slow. After importing and rendering images are still very slow to go through and develop. No issues in LR 5.3 which was very fast.

Really need a fix on this since I'm norally imported and processing at least 4,000 images per LR Catalog. Is there way to revert back to 5.3? I can't use 5.4 is its current state. Thanks.

Download LR 5.3 and install it
By the way, lots of people have this complaint about LR 5.4, and the advice I give is to use LR 5.3 unless you need one of the new camera models supported by LR 5.4

Placing OS image and Data image on right partition

Hi ,
We are facing issue in placing right image at the right partition.
We have OS image and data image. We are formatting and partitioning HDD as 40% (OSDisk) and remaining 100% as (Data). Both paritioons are active and selected as primary.
Then in installing operating system step, i have selected place image based on variable 'OSDisk'
and Data image is also slected to be placed based on variable 'Data'.
TS finishes without any issues but when i login to the machine i can see that OSDisk has become 'D' Drive and Data Drive has become 'C' so it shows C drive with label as 'Data' and D drive is label as 'OSDisk'
I want to place OS on C drive and Data drive should always be as 'D' drive.
I have tried another method and this time i tried to install OS as 'place based on stored variable i.e. OSDisk but install data image as next available partition but with this placement OS never boot after restart and TS eventually fails.
My aim is to make 'C' drive contain OS image and 'D' Drive to containg data image content and not the otherway around as it is happening with current test.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes it is Config manager 2012 R2 but image is actually not source media install.wim. It a custom captured image through MDT2013. Image has 1 partition only.
However I tried the above solution but drive letters are still not coming correct for OSDisk and Data Drive. Data is coming on 'C' drive and OSDisk is coming at 'D' drive.

Freight after ED and before VAT, Discount after ED and before VAT

We have below two scenario and we want to map this.
1) Discount after ED and Before VAT
2) Freight After ED and Before VAT.
first requirement will be fullfilled by assigning subtotal '6' to discount condition in M/08 and 362 routine to BASB and 363 routine to VAT condition in OBQ3
Second requirement will be fullfilled by assigning subtotal '6' to Frieght condition in M/08 and assigning 363 routine to VAT condition in OBQ3 and removing 362 routine against of BASB.
We want to map it both pl. guide us how to map BASB value in TAXINN.

Taking you answer into consideration i have below excersice.
Subtotal '6' to Freight and Discount conditions
362 routine to BASB conditon type in OBQ3
363 routine to VAT condition in OBQ3
it will work perfect in case of Discount after ED before VAT. but in case of Freight after ED bfroe VAT its not working.
Since 362 routine, will do minus '6' subtotal value and plus '4' vlaue.
If we add freight component to condition then system will reduce amount from BASB. that is practicly we dont wan't.

How do you expect anyone to help when we don't know a darned thing about the file, abut your setup, exact version of Photoshop and your OS, machine specs, etc.?

Hi Experts,
I encounter a problem with my templates that use After RANGE or BEFORE RANGE.
In Planning Application, there is no problem downloading the file that uses AFTER RANGE and BEFORE RANGE but in CONSOLIDATION Application I was unable to download or open the file with AFTER RANGE and BEFORE Range.
When I tried to open it, the Excel Program Hangs or Not Responding, then I must End Process to use the Microsoft Excel again.
Any suggestions?

Why don't you just put contents of ds_remote_schema.ldif from the IS6.0 install packages to your schema file, any ##name you want and tell installer to use preconfigured directory?! Up to IS6.0ea2 schema was a separate file.

Two ways are;
split the clip with the razor tool at the point you want the image to freeze, r-click and select a Frame Hold option,
or
position the play-head at the end of the clip you want freezing and export a still frame. Re-import it and put it in your sequence.

Changing images and folders to lower case

I modified my Apache software so that all the URL's in my websites default to lower case before I realized that my images would also be affected. I also modified it so that underscores are changed to dashes. Thus, an image located at images/Maps/South_America.png now gets left behind when the URL defaults to images/maps/south-america.png.
So I have two choices - 1) Figure out a way to exempt image links from the new defaults, or 2) rename all my images and the folders that contain them.
As I haven't yet figured out how to do the former, I need to learn how to do the latter.
So I guess we're talking about as many as three or four operations here - change all folder names to lower case, change all images names to lower case and replace underscores in folders and images with dashes.
Can anyone tell me how to get started? I believe there are lots of tools and software programs that accomplish at least some of these, but I'd like to find out which operations, if any, Apple can do first. Ideally, I'd like to dump my entire images folder into some program and let it change everything. (I've already made a backup of my images folders, of course.)

First of all be sure the font you're using has small letters and not just caps. If it does, then click the tiny triangle at the far left of the options bar and choose Reset Tool.

Big Problem: Missing Images and Duplicated Images

I had thought that this was some kind of web gallery problem, but now it's clear that this affects all of Aperture (on my system).
If I select a few images (in this case from a smart album), and then create a new:
* web gallery
* album
* etc
...from that selection, the new gallery, album or whatever appears, but withOUT the images in the browswer! Oddly, the album does show that the appropriate NUMBER of images are in that album (from the panel on the far left). In other words, an album is created, a number of images are listed as being IN that album, but the images aren't showing up in the album, at all.
Further, the images actually become DUPLICATED in the smart album that was the source.
Here is the strange bit: If I select a large number of images from that smart album, some of the images DO appear in the NEW album or gallery or whatever. But many DON'T. And all images are duplicated in the source album.
I've restarted the Mac, rebuilt the Aperture database. Problem persists.
Anyone have any idea what's going on? Do You have this problem?

I have seen a similar problem when creating a smart album. I have also had a similar problem with images disappearing. See this thread:

FREIGHT AFTER ED AND BEFORE TAX (CST/VAT)

Hi Friends,
We need the freight to be calculated after Excise duty and before Tax ( CST/VAT). For example
Basic Value = 100
ED 10% = 10
ECS 2% = .2
SECS 1% = .1
10.3
Freight = 10
120.3
CST 3% = 3.60
Total Value = 123.90
In our case Freight is calculation after TAX. But we need to calculation of CST/VAT includes freight.
Kindly suggest how to make changes in pricing procedure.
I created one condition in pricing procedure for freight, but the same is not transferring to tax procedure for calculation. I also created one condition in tax procedure. But value is not passing to tax procedure.
Knidly give the solution at the earliest.

Check in tax procedure(OBQ3) whether freight condition(Z*) is included after ed subtotal ?
Whether you maintained condition record(FV11) for lumpsum Z* freight condition ?

Moving images and importing images

Hello everyone:
I am new to this forum and am a new Aperture user.
I am unable to move images from a project to an album within that project. When I try to do so the "+" cursor shows with the number of images I am trying to move, but when I open up the album there are no images in it.
Also when I try to import images from my camera to a particular album, they only go into the album's project, not the album itself.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! The following questions might sound stupid, but bear with me...
They are definitely regular Albums and not Smart Albums?
The Albums don't have any search criteria set, such as minimum ratings?
What happens when you select some images and hit Command-L (make a new Album from the selection)?
Does the problem still occur after relaunching Aperture and/or restarting the computer?
Is there a number visible next to the Album name (turn it on in the preferences if need be), and if so, does it still say '0'?

Repeating images and replacing images in a slideshow

does anyone happen to know if I can select a set of images and basically copy them so that they are duplicated within a slideshow? I have a rotation of an object and I would like the slideshow to show it rotating twice whereas right now it only rotates once. Is there a way to copy the 60 images and paste them within the slideshow (even though they will have similar names) so that I can put them at the end of the first 60? I have a front cover image and a end image so I can't just loop it.
Is it preferable for me to import the images into Aperture again by copying them into the slideshow?
Also, is it possible to alternatively /write-over/ images in the slideshow? RIght now I have some images at the front that I would like to redo and I am wondering if I can redo them outside of Aperture and simply copy them into the slideshow and have the old ones written over or if it necessary to delete the old ones and import the new ones...

You'd have to place the line with:
var imageLoader:Loader;
within the loop.
Now the same loader is told 5 times to load an image and to
report when done. Each time overwriting the previous commands.
With the variable declared inside the loop a new loader is
created each time.
In the eventhandler you'd have to point to:
Loader( e.target.loader ) instead of 'imageLoader'
apart from that i will aways trace 5 since it is declared
outside any function and thus reports the last value it was
assigned. This also means all images will end up at the same
position.

Match Background Image and Browser Image

Hello,
I am using a background image that I created for my page background. I would like it to be the same image for the browser background as well vs. the solid color option.
I've attached the same image and when it is live, the color is off (it's a gray image with a texture treatment). So, it looks like a box and then another box.
Anyway to get around this? Should I resize? Can I make the background image bleed so it takes over the browser background?
I tried making the page size large, but then on screen, the scroll bar made everything of center.

Have you tried setting your page background to none?
If you do this you will only see the browser background (with your image on it) when published.
