After installation program does not start - DB MS Access
Hi all,
A customer had a program writen in VB6 and MS Access 97.
First I converted the database to version 2000 and than to MS Access 2013. After that I have converted the program first to VB2005 and then to VB2013 where I make all the changes.
I put the database in the output directory : "Copy if newer"
When everthing works goed in develepment I made a setup program with : InstallShield Limited Edition Project.
I have installed the program on a Windows 7 pro 64bit OS.
First the program blocks on : "dim clDB as DAO. Database". Here for I imports "Microsoft.Office.Interop.Access". Messagebox "1" I get and "2" not any more.

Can you tell me why setup thus not install the MS Access components?

According to your description, you'd like to add MS Access components as prerequisite in setup.
I suggest you using Bootstrapper Package, here are some instructions:

I installed the CS 5.5 Trial on Windows 7. Everything was ok, so I started InDesign and said accept to the License Agreement. But the program does not start, the license window always opens again after clicking accept. Can anybody help me?

I downloaded the new Itunes version. During installation, there was an error message that said no Mobile access. After installation, Itunes would not open. Gave an error message that a DLL file was not found. Removed itunes from computer and initiated new download. Same problem with new download. Still does not open. I'm stumped. I have over 30,000 files in itunes and use it every day HELP
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

Lightroom doesn't launch or closes automatically after splash screen -
Have gone to update and sync Iphones and Ipods and Itunes does not start up.
Both the sccbase.dll and slbcsp.dll failed giving the error "LoadLibrary("xxxxxx.dll") failed. - The specified module could not be found."
There's our likely culprits. We'd better try swapping them out on the PC.
(The instructions I'm about to give are quite possibly going to sound odd ... I'll explain what we're doing and why at the end of the post.)
Navigate to the C:\Windows\System32\ directory. (If you've set a different directory from \Windows\ as your Systemroot, look for \System32\in the alternate Systemroot rather than Windows.)
Can you see sccbase.dll and slbcsp.dll in there?
If so, drag each of them to your Desktop.
Now close the C:\Windows\System32\ window, wait about 5 seconds, and then open navigate to C:\Windows\System32\ again. Have copies of sccbase.dll and slbcsp.dll reappeared in that directory?
If one or both of the dlls aren't replaced and/or you get an error message from Windows saying you have a system file missing, move the dlls back into \System32\ from your desktop, and post back.
(What we're doing here is using XP's Windows File Protection system. It maintains a \dllcache where copies of essential dlls are kept on the PC. If it detects that a dll from \System32\ is missing, or has been replaced by an earlier version, and it has a current version of the dll in the dllcache, it will move a copy of the correct version of the dll into \System32\. There's more information about this in the following document from Microsoft: Description of the Windows File Protection feature.)
If the dlls are replaced, try restarting the PC and then relaunching iTunes again. Does it launch this time?
If it doesn't launch, try reregistering sccbase.dll and slbscp.dll again. Do they reregister properly, or do you get an error message again? -
I bought “Captivate” few days ago. I received the internet address to download the program and the activation number. I downloaded the program (OK), started the installation program (OK) and received indications that the decompression process was OK. Then the installation started and I was asked to introduce the activation number (OK). After this, a bar showing the progress of the installation was shown on the screen. The bar stopped at 2%. I waited more than 20 min and saw no progress. Then I decided to start the “windows task manager” to see if the process was active. I have windows 7, so I pressed alt-ctrl-del and received the message (2-5 min later) that the task manager could not start. I waited more time (more than 1 hour) and since the installation progress was still indicating 2% and since I still could not activate the task manager, I rebooted the computer.
I then tried to reinstall the program. After the decompression, I receive the message:”Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe support advisor to detect the problem”. I followed the link to discover that the program is no more available.

Disable the start up items. ( Ms config )
Rename the OOBE folder from the location mentioned below .
Windows: C>Program files or Program files(x86)>Common files>Adobe>OOBE and rename the OOBE folder to like (OOBE_old).
Uninstall the Adobe Captivate 8 components manually from the machine. Delete all the Adobe Captivate files and folders manually.You may check the following locations.

Create a new user account which has the admin rights on it.
Restart the machine.
Login to a new user account .
Once you are logged in then try to install it again.

I have a iPad 3 (wifi+cellular). Today I updated with the latest software update. But after the installation of the update it doesn't start. Again and again the apple logo flashes and nothing happens. I tried to reset it by accessing it through iTune. But it is not recognized by iTune. Please help.

wenn ich After Effects CC nach dem Installieren öffnen möchte, bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung.
Habe es schon 2 mal deinstalliert, inklusive Preferences, Rechte repariert, neu installiert. Ohne Erfolg.
imac Ende 2009 3,06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo mit os x 10.9.2.
Deinstallieren Sie das Produkt und installieren Sie es erneut.

Problem I have just installed After Effetcs (shareware) when I start I get an error:

DAC 11G Installation - Server Does not start up

I have recently installed DAC 11G with all the relevant combinations software (Oracle Database 11G, OBIEE 11G, DAC 11G and Informatica 9.1.0) on a 64 bit Windows server. Everything is working fine except for the DAC server. In version 11G, there is no separate component to start the server as we have it in earlier versions. When the Client option is clicked, it runs the server and opens the client but it is not really connected to the server.
If I go to the startserver.bat and execute it, I get the below message.
" Windows cannot find '-server'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again :

SidActually i see the status changed to Orange after reinstalling the DAC11 with all these setup. But still i have an issue with Informatica Servers. I could not able to connect them... I used the proper connections for Repository and Integration services... I am using 4006 as Integration ServerPort and 6005 as Repository port.
Do you guys see any issues with 64 bit informatica with 64 bit Oracle and ODBC connections? I have win 7 64bit OS and all 64 bit softwares. But i think informatica by default points to 32 bit ODBC. Not sure how to change this to 64 bit ODBC. 64 bit ODBC (odbcad32.exe) will be in c:/windows/system32 and 32 bit odbc(odbcad32.exe) will be in c:/windows/syswow64 folder... Right now i see informatica pointing 32 bit ODBC. Any body knows how we can point informatica to 64 bit ODBC? There is a powmart.ini file contains all these ODBCDLL files. Oracle=ORAODBC.DLL, but not sure where this file was referred in informatica installations. Anybody has any clue and how we can point informatica 64bit software to 64 bit ODBC?

Repairing Outlook also gets no result.

SSH does not start after reboot
Hi, I have a problem with my sshd daemon. I have updated my OS, I have changed the .pacnew files and tested service with "systemctl start sshd.service" and it worked good. I have run command "systemctl enable sshd.service" and command executed good. But after reboot service does not start.
I have run "systemctl status sshd.service" and result is that service is loaded, but in Activa line it is inactive (dead).
I dont know what is happening, why is it inactive if it is loaded?

Itunes does not start anymore after upgrade to 6.05.20
I upgraded itunes to the current version and after that itunes does not start anymore. I scanned for virus with an up-to-date scanner, scanned for adware with Windows defender and ewido and used the tips from http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=42963
I run itunes on Windows Server 2003 which worked fine for three years. I know it is officially supported on XP only.
I deinstalled itunes and reinstalled afterwards no change. The windows event log shows some erors
Faulting application iTunes.exe, version 6.0.5.20, faulting module shell32.dll, version 6.0.3790.2662, fault address 0x0015af84.
Any other idea?

Christophok, so I am not sure if this is legal or not, but there is a site called oldversion. Go there, and you can get past versions of applications such as aim , and in this case, itunes. just uninstall your other itunes first.
Sometimes different versions of appications run better on different computers. this new itunes probably just has something the last one didnt that cant run with what you have on your computer
