After installed osb, can't run config.exe to create a domain in windows7

Hi,
I am a newbie to weblogic and currently trying to learn it. I have installed weblogic 11.1.1.5.0, Oracle XE, and also create a schema. However, when I installed osb, I can't run config.exe(directory C:\oracle\Middleware\home_11gR1\wlserver_10.3\common\bin ) to create a domain. my computer is windows7, 64bit. I try to run config.exe as a administrator but no response. And there is another thing frustrating me, in the start menu, when I click the shortcut of config.exe or uninstall in the Oracle OSB 11g - Home1 folder, it just say I don't have access permissions.
when I installed SOA, I alse met the same problem like OSB. btw, I have installed these software in other PC which run windows XP, and there is no problem happen!
Here is the software I need to install
weblogic 11.1.1.5.0
Oracle XE
soa 11.1.1.3.0
osb 11.1.1.3.0

Windows NT does not boot after installing NI-CAN 1.6.0 or security update

We are running Windows NT 4.0 SP 6 english with MS IE 5.5.
On one machine we had NI-CAN 1.6.0 installed. After installing the security update from Microsoft over the web the machine did not boot.
On another machine the security update was installed. After installing NI-CAN 1.6.0 the machine booted but hangs during logon. On this machine we installed Windows NT, MS IE 5.5 the security update and NI-CAN from new and the effect was the same.
Does anyone else have similar experience with this problem?
Machines with Windows 2000 and XP work well with NI-CAN 1.6.0.

I haven't found any known issues. I going to try it out here. What's the security update you're installing?. I noticed there's a bunch of them in the Microsoft web site.
What CAN hardware do you have (PCI, PCMCIA, etc)?.

This comes up repeatedly, so you may want to do a forum search.
In a nutshell:
If you wanted to remove CS5, you should have done so before installing CS6. The CS5 uninstaller is very likely to mess with and destroy the CS6 installation.
Your best bet now is to use the CS6 uninstaller and uninstall CS6 first, then use the CS5 uninstaller to uninstall CS5, then run the Adobe CSClean script (downloadable from the Adobe site), and finally install CS6 again.
All adobe updaters are FULL installers and do not need a previously installed version to work. When they don't find a prior version installed, they will simply prompt you for the old serial number as well as the new one.

After installing zone Alarm extreme 10, firefox.exe 32 stays running in the background after closing, making it not possible to open it again.

After installing the latest Zone Alarm Extreme v10, on windows 7 x64, when I close firefox, the window closes but firefox.exe 32 remains running in the background, which makes that when I want to open firefox again, after about a minute I get the error that an instance of firefox is still running. I go to task manager and end task of firefox.exe 32 and then open firefox again.
This is now happening regularly.

This seemed to come out of the blue, very much as described by anima42. I also am a Ubuntu 10.04 user. I have pondered on the first reply above, and though I don't, and didn't, use Tabberwocky, I was using Tab Mix Plus. Having removed this, the problem seems to have gone away. Another possible clue as to what went wrong: I use a constant Firefox profile located in my home directory. I dabbled with Ubuntu 11.04 a week or so ago, which runs (I think) a more updated Firefox. This Firefox was operating on my default profile, as you would. It may have broken something so it now doesn't play nicely with the 10.04 setup. Just surmising.

Meanwhile my backups not are running. I remember running PSConfig command when I first installed windows and sharepoint 2010 on this box for system backup to work correctly.
Now I run WMIC QFE LIST FULL /Format:HTable > C:\Temp\HotfixList.html to retrieve all the installed update to check if KBs
2460045 or 2687453 are installed unnoticed but I don't have any history of installed updates suprising eh!
Now I want to run
PSConfig.exe -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -force -cmd applicationcontent
-install -cmd installfeatures
just incase one of them have been installed unnotice.
How many times can I run this PSConfig command? How dangerous is this decision?

You can run it as many times as you want, but it will take SharePoint down on that particular server (resets IIS, for example), while it executes.

Can I run a .exe file on a Mac?

I need to know know if it's possible to run a '.exe' file on an Intel-based Mac running Mac OS X. There's a CD with an application I need to run. In the Finder it has the icon of the black computer screen with green letters and it's titled 'startCD.exe. It'll run on Windows but due to circumstances I need to run it on my computer. Ati Radeon HD 6370M code 43 in device manager after installing driver - can't get GPU to work

I have bought a second hand HP laptop recently and I am having hard time installing GPU drivers and getting it to work at all.. so here is my story:
I was told that the product I bought is a HP Pavillion DV7-4142eo. I have removed the battery and checked the labels under it - and indeed the manufacturers labeled it as a DV7 4142eo laptop.
HOWEVER - and now comes the fun part - the product number in the bios (XZ288UAR#ABA) belongs to the HP Pavilion dv7-4263cl. This is also true according to hp automatic product detection app.
I used the system information tool on windows 7 and pcidatabase.com to determine the models of the graphic cards in my laptop. It turns out it has an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 and an Ati Radeon HD 6370M gpu.
First I tried to install the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 Graphics driver, because this gpu belongs to the DV7-4142eo laptop. It didnt work, in the windows 7 device manager I got two times "standard vga graphic adapter" showing.
Next I tried tried autodetection and used amddriverdownloader. This tool recomended installing the following driver: 13-9-legacy-vista_win7_64_dd_ccc_whql.exe . After installing this driver the integrated graphic card ( ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250) works perfectly but I the other one - the more powerful one, the Ati Radeon HD 6370M - doesn't work. In the device manager it is labeled as "standard vga graphic adapter". Installing its own driver doesn't work as it results in the problem stated in the Subject.
What do you suggest me to do? Do you think code 43 means that my laptop's GPU is broken? Please help.

I would go with the product code...and say it is a HP Pavilion dv7-4263cl Entertainment Notebook PC.
Accordingly, this would be the only AMD graphics driver you can use.
Uninstall all previous graphics drivers and reboot before attempting to install this one.

It says "You can't open the application QuarkXpress because Power PC applications are no longer supported."
What does that mean???

Hi Lisa,
you must be using an older version of QuarkXPress.
QuarkXPress 7.01 (and higher) and 8.x are Universal Binary, so can run natively on both PowerPC-based Macs as well as Intel-based Macs. QuarkXPress 9 (9.1 is current) is an Intel-only application. So theoretically you need to use at least 7.01.
However since version 9.1 QuarkXPress is officially supported on Lion, so Version 9 is probably your best option on OS X 10.7.x.

After install Mavericks can't open AE anymore

That is not relevant to this update. This update is not part of the Creative Cloud automatic update system.
Also, read the details on the page that I linked you to, especially this part:
"Be sure that you are signed in and have activated the software—i.e., ensure that you are not running After Effects in free trial mode. The update will not work if you are running the application in trial mode. Sign in to Creative Cloud using any Adobe Creative Cloud application on your computer to activate all Adobe Creative Cloud applications on that computer.
Tip: If you’re not using a trial version, but you’re seeing the message that the update is not applicable, try one of these tips to force the application to be recognized as activated: Sign out of and then back in to Creative Cloud to refresh the activation state. Also, launching the After Effects render engine (not the full After Effects application) can refresh the activation; the render engine doesn’t have the crashing problem that the full unpatched application does. Finally, if neither of these works, uninstalling and then re-installing After Effects CC (12.0) can help."

After install of 8.1.5 SQLLDR.EXE wont exit after sucessful load.

After installing 8.1.5, SQLLDR.EXE wont exit after sucessfully loading a table. My DOS window just hangs. Has anyone had this problem? Version 8.1.5 is the highest license we have. I was on 8.0.5 and it worked ok.

Sorry to reply to my own post but this may help someone else.
The problem is that the Solaris 10 Express install doesn't install the /kernel/misc/sparcv9/kbtrans module. I just copied it before I rebooted after the first CD install.
(1) At the <Press Return to reboot the system> {"!" exits} prompt, enter "!"
(2) The new root partition will be mounted as /a.
(3) Copy the kbtrans file
cp -p /kernel/misc/sparcv9/kbtrans /a/kernel/misc/sparcv9/kbtrans
(4) Reboot
This is just a workaround - Sun needs to fix the install.

Missing InDesign plug-ins after installing on new machine running WIN 7

After installing Adobe InDesign CS3 (version 5.0) on a new computer running Windows 7 Professional, InDesign cannot open a file I created 30 days ago on a machine running the same version of InDesign and Windows XP Professional. I repeat, there have been no changes in InDesign versions !!
The error message indicates a boat load of plug-ins are missing. The first error message indicates WORLDREADY.RPLN and CONDITIONALTEXT.RPLN were missing. After clicking OK, the second error message indicates these plug-ins are missing: ASSIGNMENTS.RPLN, TEXT.RPLN, SPREAD.RPLN, MASTERPAGE.RPLN, IMAGE.RPLN, TEXTATTRIBUTES.RPLN, GENERICPAGEITEM.RPLN, TEXTWRAP.RPLN, CJKTEXTATTRIBUTES.RPLN, SCRIPTING.RPLN, LINKS.RPLN, INCOPYSHARED.RPLN, XLM.RPLN, CJKGRID.RPLN, TOC.RPLN, INDEXING.RPLN, HPERLINKS.RPLN, PACKAGEANDPREFLIGHT.RPLN, WORKGROUP.RPLN, APPFRAMEWORK.RPLN, and DOCUMENTFRAMEWORK.RPLN.
From the Help menu within InDesign, I click Updates. A series of updates for all my Adobe software were installed, bringing inDesign CS3 to version 5.0.4 yet
InDesign still refuses to open my previously created file.
The only other suggestion your help files suggest is upgrading my inDesign software to CS5 to which my company will not agree.
HELP !!!!

The file properties are shown in the attached screen shot indicating InDesign CS3 was used not CS4 or CS5. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
