After installing 10.6.7....my display dims and then turns off...

even while watching a movie on iTunes. This has never happened before. I tried looking for setting but could not find one. Any ideas..help?? Thanks!

Same problem here as well, but only after the latest iTunes update (10.2.1 (1)). The only workaround I found so far to keep iTunes from dimming during full screen play is to use Hot Corners. Go to System Preferences > Desktop & Screensaver > Hot Corners and select "Disable screensaver" from drop down menu in one corner of the screen. Then, putting your cursor in this corner during full screen play will keep the screen from dimming.
Not the most elegant solution, but it works. Here's hoping another iTunes update is coming soon to fix this problem.

I have the exact same problem trying to use the Remote app on both my iPhone 3gs and iPad 2 with either my Mac or ATV2. My Remote app used to work on my phone - I can't recall if I ever actually used it with my iPad, but when I tried today, I got all the same results as you did (on both iPad, and then iPhone). Z10 crashing frequently - Display dims and then device dies

Dear Support Team, My BB Z10 is crashing very frequently and doesnot boot up. Some times in a day it does start but after 5-10 mins, it just switches off. There is a peculiar way it switches: The display begins to dim and eventually fades away with only very dim white back light stays and after some time it tries to reboot but without any success. I have seen some threads regarding the same issue, but didnot find any concrete resolution. As per the recommendations, I performed a complete swipe and factory restored the BB to find whether it was android app compatibility or software release bug. But the problem again cropped up after 40 mins or so. I am going to use the autoloader and try resetting the BB and will keep you posted. In the mean time can you also recommend any alternative to try. I am also considering removing the SD card and try using my phone and keep you posted about the result. Ok. I disabled hardware acceleration. The only extension is the McAfee Scriptscan for Firefox 15.1.0, which was already disabled. I then disabled all plugins (Acrobat, Google Update, Intel Identity Protection (2x), Java Deployment Toolkit, Java Platform, MS Office 2013, Quicktime, Shockwave, Silverlight), which were all up to date.
Normal or safe mode still has same result. No startup, no option button and no customize.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I have an iphone with icloud, when I deleteed my photostream, after I down loaded them to my computer and then turned photostream back on it re loaded them back to my phone, also it says anything i download with icloud goes to all my devises it doesn't

can any one tell me what i'm doing wrong I've gone to support and it tells me nothing, my icloud does not send what I download to all my devices, I also can't seem to delete the photo's I have on my phone, I do what it says to do then when I turn photo stream back on it re downloads the same pic's to my phone. what am I doing wrong?

Have you got Photostream enabled on the same account on the other devices.
turning Photostream off on a device just stops it syncing with that device it doesn't reset photo stream, you have to do that by resetting from iCloud.com (click on your account name)

Macbook pro dims and then brightens within a second

I have my macbook pro 2.4 ghz 15" set to automatically reduce brightness before display goes to sleep. When it does this, the display sometimes dims and the keyboard shuts off like its supposed to but other times the display dims and then within a second it brightens and the keyboard stays dark. I'm not sure why this is. I mean it doesn't do it more than it does but its still frustrating. Is it due to the 10.6.5 OS?

Could it be related to the ambient light sensor? Turn it off and see. The check box for this can be found in Displays Preferences.

After installing 1.5 with the msi, can I then zip it up and use that version on another computer? I've done this successfully already for my needs etc. Just not sure if this was "kosher" etc.
I've installed Java JRE/JDK 1.5 using:
jdk-1_5_0_12-windows-i586-p.exe
I installed it on computer A at C:\jdk1.5.0_12. I then zipped it up and ran it successfully on computer B for my Tomcat service needs. It went seamlessly. However, did I over look any risks doing it this way. I did it this way because the MSI prompts a user for a install path. I need it for both the JRE/JDK to use C:\jdk1.5.0_12. Zipping up my installed version prevents that pesky user-error stuff/support tickets due to user error stuff.
Granted, I'd rather have users fill out a support ticket due to a typo then erroneously think I was successful at repackaging Java for our needs etc. Follow?
And therefore, was it ok to zip it up and port it?

HT4623 After installing IOS 6.1.3 I am now unable to install any app. I hit the "install" it asks me for my password and then is goes back to install.

After install iOS 6.1.3 everytime I attempt to install any app, I hit "install", it aks me for my password and then clocks for a couple of secs and then goes back to "install" without installing.

Have you tried a soft reset? Hold down the home and lock buttons until you see the apple icon appaer then let go. If this doesnt work, open iTunes, conect the handset to the computer and do a full restore.

I am able to use the essbase once again.What i did that i removed D:\Hyperion/common/EssbaseRTC/9.3.1 from the ARBORPATH.

But i do not know if it is the right thing to do.Please suggest.

What's wrong with my trackpad? It was working fine, then I installed Lion 10.8.1 and now the mac mini won't see it, when I press the on button, a light comes on after a brief pause, stays on for a second or so, and then goes off, still no trackpad..

Ok, so if you haven't worked it out, this is my first post. My problem is all in the title, but once more won't hurt..
I have a bluetooth trackpad which has been attached to my mac mini for a few months now, with only the occasional connection lost, connection found saga that everyone seems to go through. Earlier today, I used the trackpad to upgrade to OSX 10.8.1 nd when the computer rebooted, no trackpad could be found. I've put fresh batteries in, I've tried rebooting the mac mini, I've checked sys preferences and am currently using an old usb keyboard which is v flimsy so forgive any typos please.
The light comes on about a second after the on button is pressed, (whether the button is held down or not) and then goes off after a second, still no trackpad is found..

When you set an album in play it will just play the first song over and over never going to next song. The genius interrupts and starts randomly playing different songs; when you select a song the voice comes and and tells you the screen is dimming and then seconds later it turns off.
I have tried to read the directions put the ipod won't allow me to follow.
