After installing 10.7, cannot print to Fuji Xerox C3210DX

Bother versions of the Driver 2.2 and the ps(Post script), do not work properly.
The generic printer driver also does not work properly.

Does not work properly on three different Macbook Pro's.
When attempting to print, the printed jobs are paused in the print list. Pressing resume prints the document, but the job remains in the list preventing other jobs from printing.
The software update feature, says failed... Contact provider or words to that effect.
We had the same problem with a Brothers printer just today.  I suspected the driver was faulty but had the same results after a fresh software download from Apple, and one from Brothers web site.  I print using a USB cable to my mac and my wife, who is running SL, prints wirelessly through my mac.  We switched the cable to her mac, thinking this was a Lion problem, but had the exact same problem you describe above.  A call to Brothers coached me through my System Preferences>Print & Scan> to select each printer in the "Printers" window and remove by clicking the "-" symbol.  Then click "+" symbol and select the correct driver.  Then select that printer as the "Default printer" in the lower dialog window.
Hope it works for you.

That DLL is part of your printer driver; reinstall or update the device driver for your printer, and the message should go away.

    Hi,
What version of the OS did you upgrade from ?
Anything before OS X 10.8.2 may have an issue if the Logic/Mother board has been replaced and the Serial Number not "flashed" back to it.
In the Apple Icon menu use the About this Mac item.
In the new panel click twice on the line that tells you the current OS level
It will change to the Build number (and alternative count to the OS versions) and then the Serial Number.
If it is missing you need to get it replaced.
(It is supposed to be done on Repair or Refurbishment).
An Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider as the best choices.
There are apps you can download (They are Mac Model specific) but needs careful typing as it is a once only trip.

  • Fusion 4.1.2.  After install can no longer print on the Mac side.

    Version:1.0 StartHTML:0000000167 EndHTML:0000003793 StartFragment:0000000475 EndFragment:0000003777
    Greetings,
I'm using a MacBook Pro running OSX SL at the most current level.
I upgraded from Fusion 3 to Fusion 4 (uninstalled 3 first then installed 4) after which I did the update to Fusion 4.1.2 which appeared to run fine.
Being I'm new to the Mac I installed Fusion because I need Windows-XP.
Prior to the installation of Fusion I spent 2 weeks trying to get my printers working just on the Mac side without Fusion.  I'm using an HP Deskjet 5850 (5800 series) printer which worked just fine.  The printer is an IP printer at IP address 192.168.1.11 and can be pinged from both the Mac side and the Windows-XP side. Before Fusion there wasn't any issue printing on the Mac side.
After Fusion installation I didn't have any issues printing on the Windows side.
Now with Fusion installed I can still print on the Windows side but not on the Mac side.
All settings are as normal with printer sharing.
When trying to print on the Mac side I see the printer queue for the HP pop up and it says 'waiting to connect' to 192.168.1.11.
I tried a dozen different settings non of which worked.
I switched from a NAT connection to a Bridged connection for Windows but still the same result, no printing from the Mac side.
Is there a problem with this release of fusion or is it somewhere in my system settings?
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • HT4356 After the latest update cannot print to my hp photos art 5510 help please

Updated to latest iOS 6.1.2 now just cannot print to hp photosmart 5510 this was working fine until now have tried switching ipad off ,also tried turning off printer tried switching router off just sits with item in printing queue even though it finds the printer, help please

You may have a print job stuck in the AirPrint cue of the iOS device, or the printer's firmware may be out of date.  Do a firmware update first.  You will find the directions linked below.  If that doesn't work, clearing the cue should correct the problem.  Double-tap the button on the front of your iOS device.  This will bring up a menu along the bottom of the screen that displays all running apps.  One of the apps should be Print Center, and it should have a number next to it.  That is the number of print jobs you have in the cue.  Touch the Print Center icon and a window will come up displaying the print cue.  You will only be able to cancel one print job at a time, so make sure to cancel the last job you sent first, or every print job that was sent after the first one may print.  Once the cue is clear, try using AirPrint again.  Let me know what happens.

  • Error after install Collaboration: Portlet Cannot be displayed

    Hi.
After installing Fundation 6.0 SP1 and Collaboration 4.1 SP1 , I create a page and add some portlets but in ALL the portlets occurs the same error: "<portlet name> cannot be displayed due to an unknown error."
    Can anybody help ?
    thanks in advance

Start the "BEA Ali Logger service" on your portal server machine. Then when the problem occurs you can analyze \bea\alui\ptlogging\logs\portal\portalserver-log.spy to find out more information about what might be causing the problem. You can also set up a wireshark network capture log using the ringbuffer mode which lets you collect logs in a loop. This way if there are network issues you can find out about that too. If you're not comfortable setting these up or analyzing them an oracle support engineer can assist you if you open a case.

  • After installing upgrade (LP8), cannot hear instrument plug-ins

Finally upgraded and installed LP 8.0.2 from LP 7.2.3. Really been stable on 7.2.3 for a very, very, very long time.
MIDI works fine; records and plays back with channel strip and main level displays.
Cannot figure out why my i*nstrument plug-in*s have no audible output or visible meter display on both track and mains. Looking at the Audio Units Manager, all units are checked in the left 'Logic' column. All the 'Nodes' are checked EXCEPT for the BFD, Stylus RMX, Ivory, Kontakt player, Elastik. Attempting to check the unmarked boxes for these nodes is not possible.
    What am I missing??
What's also interesting is that after installing 8.0.2, LP 7.2.3 was still in my Applications folder along with LP8; together. Shouldn't one replace the other??
Thanx for your insight in advance.
    BT

The 8.02 update leaves 7.2.3 untouched. You can use either one. The other issue, I don't know other than it all worked fine here when I updated.

  • "Inkjet 4 Quit Unexpectedly" error message after installing Snow Leopard, C410 printer

Can't get printer to print after installing Snow Leopard.  C410 Photosmart Premium All in One Printer.  Keeps saying "Inkjet 4 Quit Unexpectedly".  Wireless test says everything is fine.

If you are using Snow Leopard or Lion and have HP software for pre-Snow Leopard (either from a CD not marked as compatible with 10.6 or you recently upgraded to Snow Leopard or Lion and had the HP software on your Mac before you upgraded - even if you did a standard uninstall of the old software or installed new software over the top of it) you must uninstall the software using the 'scrubber' option:
Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard/ click on HP Uninstaller
    Click on Continue
Highlight your device on the left pane
Press and hold Control + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard simultaneously while you click on Uninstall <<<< This IS the Scrubber Option, there is no button labeled "Scrubber"
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall ALL hp software. (At this point, if you continue, any HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click Continue and let it finish
    Restart your Mac
    Download and install this: support.apple.com/kb/DL907
    Now reset the printing system:
    - Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
    - Right (control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
Finally, get the latest software for your printer from the "Support & Drivers" link at the top of this page.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

  • After installing Leopard I cannot connect onto company server

After installing Leopard I am unable to connect to our company server. I was able to see the server when I was on tiger. I tried to connect the server manually but it seems I can't even do that. What to do next ? Server connects both PCs and Mac in the office.
I went into finder preference and click connect to server. I don't see any of our three servers that I saw on tiger. Not sure what to do next.
    I get the message
The server does not exist or it is not operational at this time. Check the server name or IP address and your network connection and try again.

I wish I was writing with an answer, but all I can really offer is that "I feel your pain". In my case, after upgrading to Leopard, I can see many, but nowhere near all, computers on our network, and there's no obvious explanation for who appears and who doesn't. Worse, I can see the one I most need to see (my administrative assistant) but there is no option to file share through drop boxes or any other mechanism we've found (despite enabling those options in preferences) and the only option listed is to "share screen" -- which is interesting since my assistant's computer is running Tiger, and selecting it on my end fails every time!
What gives!?! It's tough being the local mac evangelical when s**t like this goes down!

  • After installing 10.6.8, printer goes to pause mode, reinstalling printer doesn't change anything.

Printer is an HP 5850 connected to Apple Time Capsule via ethernet, and shared by two Apple Macs each running 10.6.8.  Printer was using HP Photosmart P1000 driver as there is no HP 5850 driver available for 10.6.  Printer was working fine in both text and graphics/photos until software update 10.6.8 was installed.  Now, after starting a print, the printer goes into pause mode.  Continued attempts to resume printing result in printer going to pause mode.  Deleting and reinstalling printer doesn't do anything, nor does installing latest HP printer drivers.  What is going on here?

The 10.6.8 update changed a number of printer backend services. For many brands of printer this has stopped them from printing, although usually there is an error message associated with the print job rather than the queue simply pausing.
You can check if you are getting an error by selecting the paused job in the print queue and pressing the blue Job Info button. If there is no mention of a backend failure then you may be able to get your printer working again by simply opening Print & Fax, selecting the HP printer and presssing the minus button under the list to remove the printer. Then click the plus button to add the printer again.
If selecting the Job Info button for the paused print job does reveal that there has been some sort of backend failure then have a look at this thread. There is a lot of information to go through but there are responses with links to scripts that can recover your previous 10.6.7 backend services, assuming you are using Time Machine.

  • When I try to print pictures from Iphoto 11 I get a message saying no themes are installed and I cannot print. This never happened on previous versions of iPhoto.

When I try to print photos in Iphoto 11 I get a message saying there are no themes installed and it will not let me print. This never happened in previous Iphoto versions and there is no link to get themes. How can I get these themes?

    Reinstall.
    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.
