After installing 11.2.2.3 iPod Classc. is wiped/"dead" (not recognized by iTunes, Win7 find the unit in explorer) and my iPod Touch refuse to comm with iPod interface in the car. Just wait for a iTunes update?

I installed 11.2.2.3 2 days ago and have since then not been able to sync my iPod Classic (not recognized by iTunes anymore and alll data has been wiped but show up in Win explorer when in Disk mode with my label on it "Nik's iPod") my old iPod Touch appear to have all data left but doesn't communicate with my car anymore.
Nedless to say none of the other Apple devices in our house will be updated or connected until this is resolved.
Is this related to the iTunes update?
If so should I just wait for a new update to come out that can help me get these things sorted?
I have tried most of the different remedies listed in this forum to no avail and being computer illiterate (not comepletely but anyway) I just want to know if this is a known problem that I can successfully fix with a bit of fiddling or if its time to seek out a genius bar somewhere and get some help.

Thanks for the help but I am unfortunately still not able to get my iPod Classic to connect. I have tried all the tricks in the article that you linked to.
One thing is that when I reset the iPod (menu and center until the logo pops up) I get a critical error in iTunes and it shuts down. Could that indicate that my problem is with the iTunes installation rather than the iPod?
I have tried to re-install iTunes before but maybe I shpuld give it a go again?

Ever since my "upgrade" to iWeb '08, the text in my webpages does not appear. I haven't changed any fonts or colors. I have had to put my website back to it's iWeb '06 version.
Cyclosaurus mentioned that my "text box elements has attribute style.visibility set to hidden" and that I might be able to correct it if I were javascript saavy, I should be able to turn visibility attribute to visible with a few lines of javascript.
How do I do this? Does anyone know any quick javascript that I could cut-and-paste, maybe within an iWeb HTML Widget, that could counteract the "attribute style.visibility set to hidden"? Perhaps I can do this until Apple fixes this Bug/Glitch in iWeb '08.

Nano not recognized by iTunes/updater but is by Windows
Now 2 full days trying to fix this thing.
WinXPpro-sp2 on a Intel865Perl motherboard
After the umpteenth removal and install of QT/iTunes/iPodService/iPodUpdater
and the uninstall of the USB Mass Storage Device in Device Manager
and shutting down all non-MS services except for qttask,iTunesHelper, and iPodService
I'll reboot the computer.
The iPod and cable are not plugged-in.
Fire up iTunes. Works just fine.
Plug in the iPod cable, with the Nano not attached... nothing happens (as it shouldn't).
Plug in the Nano -> Windows starts displaying connection notifications: Found New Hardware: iPod , USB Mass Storage Device , new hardware is installed and ready to use.
The nano now has the Do Not Disconnect warning on it.
Nothing appears in iTunes.
Under MyComputer the ipod appears: dmipod(C:)
and is acessible. I can use it like a disc drive.
If I were to go through this same process but fired up the iPod updater instead of iTunes, then, after plugging in the nano the updater would freeze for 3 or 4 minutes only to announce that it was unsucessful and close.
Odd bits:
all drivers are up to date,
no conflicts exist in the device manager,
the nano is formatted for Windows,
the nano has been reset using a friends computer,
the nano works just fine on a friends computer,
I've tried all the usb ports,
the usb ports work fine (as usb2.0) with my camera,
Fast User Switching is not installed, there is only one user,
the only odd thing about my computer I can find is that the primary drive is labelled F: not C: but no other software has ever had a problem with this...

I got it to work, but not with iTunes.
WinAmp has a plugin for iPods -works just fine.

Just got a call from a friend.
It is a drive label issue!
The iPod would take the C: label(recall that my boot disc is F:). Using disc manager to reassign it as D: made it visible to iTunes!!
Disc manager can be found by right clicking on MyComputer, manage. Select Disk Management. Right click on the drive you wish to reassign, Change Drive Letter and Paths, Change..., select a new letter.
I'm not really surprised that such a mistake exist, but I do hope that they fix it in the next update.

IPod not recognized in iTunes updater or my computer
I know this scneario has been worked over a lot lately but I have not found anything that works.
About 2 weeks ago my computer stopped recognizing my Ipod, after working perfectly for a year. iTunes updater or my computer can't find it though Ipod does show it is charging in the dock. I did the 4 of 5 Rs I could, changed the fire wire port & cable. I took the Ipod to the Apple Store, it worked perffectly on their Windows machine. I ran MSCONFIG diagnostics with all 3rd party startup items turned off except iTunes & Ipod services --no change. Then put the Ipod in disk mode & ran MSCONFIG again with all 3rd party startup items turned off including Ipod services & iTunses. My Computer still could not recognize that anything was plugged into the I drive (where it used to show up). Any suggestions?I've just deleted everything on my iPod so that the computer maybe would recognize it,it still doesnt and I don't know what the **** the proplem is,I am angry because I don't understand. Why the **** are these things supposed to be so great when after a couple of weeks they get some technical problem and then just don't want to co-operate. Before I deleted everything,there were some songs it didnt want to play and others it would play but somewhere out in the song it would stop and skip to the next song. im trying to restore my iphone and itunes doesnt allow it to restore without updating. problem is that i have the latest update on my iphone so why is it forcing me to wait for a 7hr update download when i already have the update and only need to restore?

My business has been using Appleworks forever. I now have a rubbish Macbook pro. I am still waiting for Mac to update their software to allow my business to use the many Appleworks files accumulated over the last 10 years. Letterheads, business cards, trademarks, brands, parts labels, box labels etc. etc.. When will this happen?

If you need to run Appleworks 6 to export some data (for example a database, which cannot be opened by any other program):
a) If your Mac will still boot into Snow Leopard, partition your hard drive (or add an external hard drive) and install Snow Leopard (and the optional Rosetta) into it and use the "dual-boot" method to boot into Snow Leopard and run Appleworks 6; or
b) Install Snow Leopard Server into Parallels and run Appleworks 6 concurrently with Lion, Mt. Lion and Mavericks:

reinstalled my windows operating system and decided to put on windows 8. After loading all of my music back into a freshly installed itunes, my 4th gen ipod is not recognized by itunes. My 1st gen ipod nano works with no problem. I can eliminate any problems with the cable and connection.
I've stopped and started the service, and also have performed cold reboots.
Nothing seems to have helped the situation.

I wasted about 1.5 hours with Apple on this issue. It all started happening after I updated to the latest version of iTunes. I haven't been able to sync my iPhone 4 in 1 month and am freaking out about possibly losing my pictures, video, text messages and music.

Adobe releases Camera Raw every 3 or 4 months. The D600 itself was launched only about 1 week ago. I'm sure its not included in ACR 7.2 RC yet. Nikon J1 is included though. I guess you're gona have to wait for it. Maybe 7.2 final release will have it or 7.3 should. Adobe employees/ product team will not commit to a time for Camera Raw releases.
However, you can use the software Nikon would've given you to convert your images as TIFF and import them into Lightroom/ Photoshop if you're in a hurry. It would be nice if your camera supports DNG conversion out of the box! This way, you wont need a Camera Raw from Adobe.

iPad is not recognized in iTunes. Just installed Mac OS X 10.6 and have a brand new iPad2. Tried all suggestions in the iPad manual without success.
Quit iTunes, restart your Mac and then restart the iPad and see if the iPad is recognized after that. If not, you can look through these articles.

IPod Touch 5 not recognized by iTunes after Win 8 install
The heading pretty much says it all. Can anyone help? Ever since Windows 8 Pro install I have not been able to connect my iPod Touch 5th gen to iTunes.
I never had this problem with windows 7.
- I connect my iPodTouch by cable to the USB
- The computer recognizes the iPod TOuch
- I can access the iPod Touch from My Computer
- iTunes does not recognize it. It doesn't pull it up as a device. All other iTunes servies work fine.
I have...
1. The most up to date version of iTunes.
2. Restarted my computer multiple times.
3. Powered down, reset, my iPod Touch multiple times.
4. I have downloaded all computer updates recommend from my manufacturer (Asus) for Windows 8 Pro compatabilityIf you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar and Control+B to show the Menu bar

I did an iPad1 IOS5 update and on the reboot could not get iTunes to recognize my iPad.
I did all the recommended troubleshooting to no avail. So I called this morning and while on hold I put my password back on my device just as before and BAM iTunes now recognizes device and is doing my restore.
So if you do a backup of your device before the update and you have it password protected, it won't recognize the device until you go through and setup a new device and put your password back to what is was before, then BAM you're good! Good Luck and hopefully you won't have to spend the day I did figuring this out.Hey there andrijfrommississauga,
