After installing essentials, tiger fails to install

well, i tryed installing 10.4, 10.3, and 10.5.
with all the discs i have, it gives me an error "there were errors installing this software", "please try again", and i only have the "restart" option to continue..
i've been trying to install this on a iBook g4 1.33 [late 2004], 768 ram, 60 gb hdd.. also i did a PMU and a PRAM , NVRAM reset ..
NOTHING. it won't install

indeed it was a hardware issue. more precise a RAM issue..
i figure it out using Apple Service Diagnostics CD v. 2.5.8

Disk Utility (Applications - Utilities - Disk Utility) Repair Disk Permissions 2x. Then restart in Safe Mode and try both apps. Restart normally and post results.

In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:

Safari, Quicken Essentials, other apps freezing after installing Maveric

Okay, I installed OS X 10.9 when it first came out. Then started having issues with apps freezing, like Safari, Quicken Essentials and other apps.   I noticed this only after installing Maverick.   The only time the freeze would go away, would be after re-starting.    Then, it seemed the app would freeze again ONLY after I have been away from the computer for a while (maybe screen saver mode causes this issue?).   After not being able to figure it out, I un-installed Maverick and went back with TimeMachine and stayed away from Maverick thinking the issue would get fixed and letting bugs go by. I just re-installed Maverick a few days ago and the issue is still there. So, before I un-intsall again, I figured I would check here for any fix or if anyone else was having the same issue.
Example would be, as soon as you try to open the app, it immediately freezes and you get the round twirling circle that goes on indefintely.    The only time it will work, is after you re-start and then you can open it up. If I leave the computer un-attended for a few hours and then come back, freezing happens again.   Not all apps act this way. FireFox seems to have no issues.
Anyone else having this issue and if so, have you found a resolution?

No. Using CleanMyMac2 can result in deleting required system components that must not be deleted, and cannot be deleted using normal means. Reports of misery resulting from using it or similar "cleaning" utilities are common on this site. You should demand your money back.
OS X maintains itself very well. Periodic "cleaning" is not required and can only result in degraded performance at best; a corrupted and useless Mac at worst. Apple will never ask you to reveal personal information in an email. If you receive an unexpected email from Apple saying your account will be closed unless you take immediate action, just ignore it. If your iTunes or App Store account becomes disabled for valid reasons, you will know when you try to buy something or log in to this support site, and are unable to.
Don’t install browser extensions unless you understand their purpose. Go to the Safari menu > Preferences > Extensions. If you see any extensions that you do not recognize or understand, simply click the Uninstall button and they will be gone.

OS X viruses do not exist, but intentionally malicious or poorly written code, created by either nefarious or inept individuals, is nothing new.
Never install something without first knowing what it is, what it does, how it works, and how to get rid of it when you don’t want it any more.
If you elect to use "anti-virus" software, familiarize yourself with its limitations and potential to cause adverse effects, and apply the principle immediately preceding this one.

First, Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, test if things work OK in Safe Mode.
Then move these files to the Desktop...

No you should be fine. (The MobileMe service is being shut down, anyway, so there should be no impact at all.)

Local disks are in FAIL status after installing the cluster

The /var/adm/messages log isn't giving me much info to go on. This has happened twice now. After installing the cluster, my local disks are in a FAIL status and the cluster is not giving me much information why.
It's a two-node cluster w/ x2100 M2s.
Any ideas?

when I run cldevice status -v, it reports that the two local disks are in FAIL status on each node.
That's all that's going on right now. Everything else seems to be perfect, other then those disks in FAIL status.

After install iLife '11 I get a "network connection failed"

After install iLife '11 , while I'm using iWeb a message pop up saying "Connection failed -- the server xxx could not be available ...." (the message appear in italian - I don't not in english how it sounds)
You can click OK but after half a minute the message appear again and so on.

Failing to load processes after installing patch 10.1.2.3

I have installed patch 10.1.2.3 after Oracle advised that it may resolve some database adapter problems I was getting in 10.1.2.0.2. However after installing the patch, many of the BPEL processes are now failing to load when I bounce the OC4J component and I am getting ORABPEL-05215 errors.
I turned on debug logging and an extract of the log file is as follows, has anybody got any ideas on how I might resolve these errors;

I've been holding off upgrading to Mavericks until I feel like I've identified the problems I'm most likely to encounter and have a solution for them. This concerns me, becasue I thought Office 2008, including Entourage, was good to go. It's very definitely not a PPC application - I'm running it on Lion (which can't run PPC programs), and Activity Monitor identifies it as Kind=Intel. Is the issue that Mavericks is misidentifying Entourage 2008 as a PPC application?

I'm having this issue as well only with a little different twist I guess. I'm transferring the iWorks applications from my Macbook Pro 3,1 with Lion to a new MBP 10,1 running Mountain Lion. I transferred the apps over using DropCopy since the older MBP doesn't have AirPlay. Applications show up but crash upon opening. This is the first install so there are no previous plist, versions or such to delete. All three crashed upon opening every time until I just had to have Keynote and purchased again - although Apple agreed to refund that purchase since my previous version quit working.
