After installing iOS5, should I get my camera icon on the home page (like with iPhone/iTouch)?

I upgraded my iTouch and my iPad2. If i doubletap the home button on iTouch, I get a camera icon on the home screen. However, if I doubletape the home button on iPad2, i have a little flower icon which gives me a photo slideshow. All Apple videos only seem to show the new camera-from-home-screen on an iPhone. Does anyone know?

Ok, that's what I thought. Just wanted to make sure i didn't miss something in the iOS5 upgrade. I guess instant access camera button is for iPods, iPhones and iPod Touches.......because I DO have it on my iPod Touch and my sister has on her iPhone. Guess it's just not an iPad thing!! Thanks!

I've been working on this all day!!! I've tried everything I know of and can't get it to load either. Sounds like lots of people are having problems. Here is what I have so far...I have uninstalled EVERYTHING on my pc from apple and reinstalled itunes to no avail. I have tried all sorts of things I've read as fixes online. NOTHING has worked. Here is something interesting that i have noticed though. my main pc (which is the one i have always managed my itunes account with for years) is a 32 bit system running windows 7. Yesterday I installed itunes for the first time on my new netbook which is a 64 bit (windows 7) system and it works just fine. i have three other laptops (all window 7) in my household that are all 64 bit operating systems and ALL have updated to 10.5 and THEY ALL work fine. this is FOUR 64 bit systems ALL updated w/10.5 that work and ONE that is a 32 bit that will not. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. I'm out of ideas and patience!

Browser opens to properly set home page. Tabs open to a different home page. what is the fix to get tabs to open to the home page I want.

I have firefox 24.0 in xp . for some time i have been using firefox with no problems. and i think i recently update to the current version. went my problem started I think was when I tried to download a video downloader. my home page was changed even tho I did a custom install. May home page was switched. after much trial and error I managed to get the home page I wanted when the browser first opens. but when I hit the tab button some home page opens that I dont recognise. and it does that for each addition tab that I open. it does this only when I open a tab. I have read several of the related questions here but there a waste of time because I am not a techie.

what preference am I searching for? I tried searching for browser.newtab.url and came up blank. search for just browser came of with too many for me to make judgment on.

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the filter box, type or paste newtab and pause while the list is filtered

In Lion Safari 5.1 starts with the last page viewed. Can I switch this to starting with the Home Page, as it did with earlier OSs?

In Safari preferences General tab set the option to Open New windows with Homepage. If that alone doesn't work go to System preferences General Pane and toward the bottom of the pane you'll see Restore Windows when quitting and reopening apps. Uncheck that. That should do it for you but there is an issue with this in Lion and for some this didn't work. After doing all this restarting the computer may help. If not wait for an update.

Just thought I'd let people know, I was able to get my really inexpensive Targus USB 2.0 media adapter to connect to the USB camera adapter on my iPad. This allows me to import photos from my Olympus Evolt digital camera that uses an XD or Compact Flash card. Also worked with our two other small digital point and shoot cameras that use non-SD cards. It also lets me use my Micro SD card from my Samsung Moment cell phone.

What specific error message are you receiving on the iPad?
Have you been able to connect the Mifi 2200 to another device such as a laptop or computer?
If so what were the results? If not I have included some troubleshooting steps below.
I recommend trying to activate the Mifi 2200 on a windows based pc using the usb cable that came with the device. http://vzam.net/
The recommendation to remove the battery while the device is powered on is a great option, as ttb_62 suggested.
As a final option you can perform a hard reset provided that you have the original sticker from the Mifi 2200, which will include default password and the MEID number. I have included a link below to assist you.

I opened a new user on my computer yesterday with administrative privledges. I then opened up an itunes account from this new user. It seemed to go pretty well. I haven't downloaded any new songs yet or moved them to my account. I don't know how to move songs yet. I'm reading iPod and iTunes for Dummeies. Very appropriate for me. - Move the Music app icon to the home page. It is usually easer to do it on the computer than on the iPod itself. The manual says how to move the apps.

Make sure you enter your new Id in settings/message, settings/facetime. ANy content that you downloaded with the old ID is forever linked to that old ID and if you have apps that were downloaded with the old ID and you want to update them you can only do that with the old ID. You could delete those apps and downlad them again ( and pay for them if they are not free apps)

No you should be fine. (The MobileMe service is being shut down, anyway, so there should be no impact at all.)
