Yeah Im at a loss too for what is going On here I Do Audio video Editing On the PC side till Now Just got a Not even 6 mo old Mac book pro Dual core 2.5 Ghz 17 in 160 Gb HD 2 GB Ramm did fresh reinstalled of tiger Patched to 10.4.11 then asked the tech at apple store best way to go for Installing my Adobe CS3.3 Master Suite for windows on Here As I said I did not want to go with Lepord as well as I do not use vista yet on PC side with my audio video Apps Abelton live 7.0 Reason 4 Pro tools 7.4 M powered Avid media Composer 3.0 and everything Adobe Makes now he says 2 ways to go VM fusion Or Parallels He likes the Parallels I go that route I install it realize to make Adobe suite work I have too do a custom Virtual machine with 1.5 GB ramm instead of default 512 MB and I create virtual HD at 60 GB instead of default 32 GB which The first time i Installed the master Collection at the 32 GB setting I think it ran out of disk space on the install so i increased the VM to the current settings went to Adobe to Parallels site and Got updates and windows and apple removal tools and ran them here goes reinstall # 3 it takes about 1 1/2 Hrs then at end give ya the error 19-20 errors and when you go look into the folders in Program files adobe there are no Icon launch files and in your programs tab under adobe suite all you see is 2 icons that do not launch anything ? any help is greatly appreciated new to Macs Like them but a lil discouraged !!!!

Have you run it in a debugger? That will show you exactly what is happening and why.

I have reinstalled mountain Lion again . This time, Facetime works when somebody calls me, and I can do calls from my Mac again. But the problem was still that I was not able to call my iPad, what I was able to do with Lion (I had one Apple-ID and two call adresses). The solution was this time to generate a second Apple-ID from the Facetime in my Mac (this doesn't affect your main Apple-ID, it's only used for Facetime). Now, it works! ;-)

After installing lion my superdrive does not read dvds

After the genious bar installed lion my superdrive does not read dvds. I put in the dvds and the drive churns for a bout 3 minutes and the spits out the dvds full of scratches.
I have read online that other people have had similar problems with lion.
Is there fix for this? or does anyone know if apple care covers this?

Installing adobe products not working

I have a flat screen imac running leopard that will not allow me to install adobe illustrator 10.0 or InDesign 2.0.. i know these are older products but they are still compatible with my computer and software. when I click on the install folder nothing happens but Script editor launches and show up at the top left of the computer screen.

6g RAM
nvidia video card
CS4 production Premium
I am working on a documentary about pop culture. I shot it in AVCHD but I am using muliple formats as examples in the project. When I inport to encore the encode fails every time. The project will not import to Media Encoder and in the off chance it does import, the encode fails. I can't import raw footage to encoder without it failing. After using premiere, the program crashes all the time after just a few edits. If I can't make a file or a DVD what good is the program? I tried reinstalling all the drivers and the program multiple times. The clips in the program turn green right before the crash.
I have always used adobe products but I am getting so frustrated that I'm getting ready to move to Avid or Final Cut.

Well it actually does work with AVCHD files with a catch. Looking at your CPU speed, thats not going to cut it. AVCHD is highly compressed. I have a icore7 intel xtreme 3.33. It edits fine, however I still find myself waiting for a few seconds after I scrub threw the time line. You need serious cpu and hard-drive speed to edit these files. Look at the HP Z400 (You want the fastest chip they have to offer) or HP Z800

I installed lion this morning and my screen switches rapidly between the dashboard and current screen, initially i thought it was my mouse, but after changing mouse I still get this issue and when my computer has been out of use for a while, i have to "erase" the screen to get to my login, any ideas?

After restarting your computer, try booting into the "recovery HD" by holding down Option at startup and try re-installing Lion. I had the Same problem when I installed Lion but that fixed it.
Rember: back up your data first through time machine so you can restore to the backup once you get Lion reinstalled.

Time machine no longer works after Yosemite installed. Can this be fixed?

Mine isn't working either. First time I've tried to backup an iMac and it is after 10.10.3 update. It won't complete the backup. File in finder ends in "in progress" - i have tried with two different drives, ran tests on both and on my startup disk. It is a brand new WD 2T My Passport for MAC and basically a brand new iMac (late 2014) - it will NOT complete a backup. I cannot find any answers on the support discussions - how can I get this working? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated - I'm concerned I don't have this machine backed up at all.

Builder installation the installer told me it was installing the

After Mountain Lion, function buttons are not working.

I just installed Montain Lion on my MacBook Pro(13-inch, Mid 2010) and those "F" buttons don't work properly. I think just one of them is working, but it opens the Dashboard instead of put the volume up and the rest don't give signal of life. I don't know what to do. Shall I wait for the next update? I installed on my iMac and everything works perfectly.

The start-up button won't work, windows explorer doesn't work, everything i click on has the hourglass that goes on forever and nothing happens. If I can't find a solution soon, I will be asking for info on wiping out windows and Parallels completely!
