After installing ParetoLogic PC Health Adviser, every time I run a scan and then hit "Fix All" the next time I run Mozilla all of my toolbar icons are white and I have to click each one seperately to get them to color-up again and by identifiable.
After I re-click on each white bookmark and get them all rest they are fine until ParetoLogic PC Health Adviser runs a scan again and I hit "Fix All" then the next time I open Mozilla the book mark tabs are white again.
Don't use "Fix All". That program is probably deleting the web site icons from the Firefox bookmarks file. Exclude the Firefox bookmarks file ( places.sqlite ) from the files that are "fixed".

I am working on big project and in accidentally flatten the file and i saved it as PSD in then I exited Photoshop. the next time when i open the file it is merged on one page. please help!
Flattening and merging are very similar. The main difference is merging keeps the transparent areas, whereas flattening removes all transparent areas by giving it a white background. A good example of flattening is a jpg image.
Since you have closed the file by closing photoshop, that means that the history is now gone, no way of undoing.
So that leaves you with two choices.
You can either recreate the whole document.
Or you can make selections of areas you are keeping and moving them one at a time to new layers. Keep each object on a separate layer. Then redo the area behind those objects. -
Can I access a label inside of an MC and then go back to the main time line
Here is my current set up.
I have a labeled section on main time line which has icons of 12 different videos. Each icon acts as a button and brings a user to a labeled section with a FLV Video Playback component impemented to play the corresponding video. These labeled sections are located on the main time.
This methog makes my main time line very long. Is there a way to make an additional MC which will hold all the video buttons and then have this MC separated into labeled sections.
In other words can I access a label inside of an MC and then go back to the main time line?
My present code for accessing the label located on the main timeline is:

Is there any specific code if I want to have a close button located on the label inside of an MC and it needs to fire out to a label located on the main timeline?Oh, WOW! It is working perfectly now.
My mistake was that I was specifiying the var sourceVar:String;
for every single button. It was not clear to me from the first example that it has to be specified only once.
I made a small test Flash file and everything works now. It still doesn't work on my big flash file, I guess some other code messes it up and I can' not figure what it is exactly.

I have similar set up with UILoader. Where different buttons set up to bring a user to individual labeled sections with individual UILoader. Should it be arranged in the same way that it is only one loader and "var sourceVar:String;" code is the one which brings up different content for each button? -
I downloaded Wild to my Ipad and I'm having issues. I've only read the first few chapters but at the end of each chapter the last page is duplicated for 10 pages and then it goes to the next chapter.
Quit the iBooks app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or ....Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Or ... Delete the book and download it again in the purchased tab of the iBook Store, as long as you use the same Apple ID, there is no charge to download it again. -
I get an error that says that LR5 encountered a preview cache error when trying to start LR5 and that it will try to fix it the next time it starts. What can I do to fix this error?
Go to the folder with you Lightroom Catalog (usually in Pictures) and delete the folder ending in .lrpreviews
This contains the previews for the files Lightroom has linked to. They will need to be rebuilt which can be done while working or selecting an amount you want to rebuild and accessing the rebuild command in the Library Dropdown menu... -

But I don't have enough free space on my external hard drive to do this because my external hard drive already contains one complete backup. What can I do?You don't have too many options. The best approach would be to buy a larger external drive. The guideline for Time Machine is that you should have 2-3 times as much capacity on the external drive as data you're backing up. See item 1 of Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions. In any case, you can't prevent that first full backup unless you're willing to turn off Time Machine permanently.

I'm not sure whether this works with notes, (it works with contacts etc) Paul might be worth a try:
Try turning off notes syncing in your settings > iCloud and then turning them back on, hopefully you will be given the option to merge your notes. Otherwise I am afraid you are going to have to transfer them manually in the manner which you have already described. -

The problem is particular to one purchase - all the others are fine.
Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If you don't see them straight away it may help to close and restart iTunes.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

I want to download all the songs from iTunes Match back to my PC (iTunes). Instead of downloading one by one, can I have all the songs downloaded back to my iTunes by one shot (while I sleap)?
I just found the answer by myself. Instead of clicking Cloud icon one by one, highlight all the songs in Cloud (after sorting by Cloud status) and riight click, download. Now I am getting all the songs back to my local machine. I will sync my iOS devices tomorrow and just GET RID OF iTUNES MATCH. To me, it was a disaster. Worse than their map app.

You can uninstall (remove) the Java Console extensions and disable the Java Quick Starter extension, you do not need them to run Java applets.

In ITunes match how do you to select multiple songs to download to pc or do you have to click each one.
First make sure you have the current version of iTunes, which is actually 10.5.1. I had to manually download it from apples website, for some reason, it wouldnt auto-update.

Once that is complete, go to the iTunes store. In the Quick Links secion to the right, you should see iTunes Match. This will prompt you to activate your subscription to iTunes match. After that it should ask you to add your computer and once youve done that, it should begin the process of scanning your library and adding it to the cloud
Alternatively, once you activate your subscription, you can also go to the Store dropdown menu in iTunes and select Turn On iTunes Match. -
On the left hand side of the screen is a location tab. For some unknown reason this is set to a location I have never lived at. It is set for Brighton, UK.
I would like to change it to where I live and I can do this but when I log off, it does not remember the new location and reverts to Brighton UK the next time I log on.
Not a major inconvienience I agree but it would be nice to get information which relates to where I live and not some other UK location.There are two ways to use iTunes with an external drive, one is to relocate the media folder to a folder on the external, leaving the library files on your internal drive, the other (not advertised in support docs) is to move the entire iTunes folder to the external drive and connect iTunes to the new location. You chose the first method, which works fine until you forget to turn on the drive before you start iTunes.
If your external media folder is called \iTunes\iTunes Media then process is relatively easy. Copy the contents of the iTunes folder on your internal disk into \iTunes on the external, then hold down shift as you start iTunes and choose the iTunes library on your external drive.
If you external media folder has a different path or name then a few more steps are involved.
Consolidate your library before you start just in case the are any files outside of the designated iTunes Media folder.
Copy the contents of the iTunes folder into the parent folder of the media folder.
Connect iTunes to the library on the external with the shift-start-iTunes method.
Close iTunes and rename the media folder as iTunes Media, then start iTunes, check a track or two, then close it again. (Skip this stage if the folder already has the correct name)
Rename/move the parent folder as \iTunes (or create a new folder at \iTunes and move the iTunes library files, Album Artwork & iTunes Media folders into it) then reconnect iTunes to the library with the shift-start-iTunes method.
If you should now start iTunes without the external drive connected, iTunes will warn you that it cannot find the library and prompt you to choose or create one. Simply cancel, connect the drive, and restart.

I have the latest downloadable version of LR5. It crashed while it was createing 1:1 previews during an import. After a Win7(64) restart, it shows a message that LR needs to quit because it can't read the preview files and it will try to fix it the next time is launches. I get the same message the next and every subsequent time it launches so I can't launch LR at all now.
I get that the preview file got corrupted somehow. Is there some way to fix this problem without building a new catalog?Use Windows Explorer to open the folder containing your catalog. You will see a folder with the extension .lrdata. You need to delete that folder and then start Lightroom again. Lightroom will generate a new previews folder.
