After installing the web gallery plugin Bridge CC no longer opens

Windows 7 Pro, x64
After installing the plugin Brideg no longer opened. I remove dthe plugin it still didn't open. I uninstalled and reinstalled, still nothing. I removed every Adobe product and reinstalled still nothing.

I have the exact same problem. My other Adobe downloads seem to be working, just not Bridge.

Hi mcclausky, you may need to manually remove a policy setting from the registry. You also should scan for malware that might have created this problem.

After installing os x onto my mac pro i cant open up preview or photo booth anymore. i cant open any of my digital files of my school books. Any ideas as to fix this?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

Is there a way to create a web gallery from Bridge with just 1 row and 3 columns?

Web gallery in bridge is very limited, the templates showing are the ones you have to work with, if you can't adjust them further then they show then that is your limit I'm afraid.
But maybe you can try the filmstrip templates?

Setting a password at the web gallery level

I would like to host multiple password-protected albums in my web gallery but don't want to require my viewers to enter a password for each album they visit. Is there some way I can set password protection at the web gallery level and make all albums accessible to those who successfully authenticate?

No, not with iPhoto. That can be done with iWeb. You password protect a single site and can have multiple photo pages, i.e. slideshows, in that site. The just provide the URL to the site along with the password and user name to use.
It's so easy to create the photo page/slideshow in iWeb by dragging the album of the photos you want to use into the iWeb photo page like this.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Web Gallery in Bridge CS4 not working

I've just started using the Web Gallery function in Bridge CS4. The output previews just fine, and loads perfectly from local disk in my browser. When I upload to my webspace, I get just a blank page.
I have contacted my ISP, who say that the problem lies with the Index.html file. They have run it through a validator at W3.org, and it comes back with multiple errors. i have no idea how to fix these errors, and in any case can't understand why it loads just fine from my hard drive, but not from my webspace.
Has anyone here had a similar issue?

Yeah, and I don't see a 'show file names' box on the templates I've looked at.
What I did was go into the group.xml file and I could find the TITLE tags and changed those to what I wanted for my caption.
Still seems somethings not right, since I had to manually add them.

Creating a Web Gallery through Bridge

I am trying to create a web gallery using bridge. The problem I am having is that the images are looking pixelated, not crisp and clear. I have resized all the images to 900x1090, which I thought would be fine and look good on the screen, but they don't. Does anyone have any ideas of how I can make these images look crisp and clear in the web gallery, or is this just something that happens when the images are organized into a web gallery?

This question might be better asked in the Flash forum, as it's Flash that's doing the resizing of your images, and your browser that renders that poorly. You can always try an html gallery, which will look fine, albeit with reduced... flash. Probably staying away from IE will help as well.

How to add Web Gallery in Bridge CS5

I am creating a photo album with web gallery in Bridge CS5. I find out that Is it possible to enable vertical scroll in to the portrait pictures? Usually portrait pictures are too small when they are diminish to the screen. Here is an example of an portrait with vertical scroll, and I think they work better that way. Or what do you think?
Is it possible to find third party template to Bridge CS5 web gallery software that has scrollable slide area? Or is it possible to make couple of modifications to the basic templates?

How can i install the web connector in the IWS for IAS SP3?

i have installed the IAS 6.0 SP3 and IWS 6.0 on two different NT server. How do i install the web connector to the IWS. How can i access the IAS form the IWS. The IAS 6.0 SP3 Evaluation does not allow to install only the web connector componet. Pls advise

Hi,
Installing web server & app server on different machine and making them communicate is called "webless installation". Having web server & app server running on same system is called "webful installation".
On a registered version, if you select CUSTOM INSTALL, then you would have a screen asking to install iDS and iAS. From the submenu of iAS, the web connector plugin has to be selected and this installation is done at the system where web server is running.
But on your case, I believe the iAS SP3 evaluation has a restriction on that. Please feel free to raise any questions regarding this.

After installing iPlanet Web Server v6 SP2 on Windows 2000 SP2, error message in the event log shows up. "The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( https-admserv60 ) cannot be found."
"The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: startup: server started successfully."
The iPlanet 6SP2 seems to work fine but these error message occur after rebooting the server. There is actually 2 messaages: one for the admin server and the
other for the actual web server instance. Both state
'server started successfully' but these messages still
appear.
Any ideas how to correct this?

this will occur, as the 6.x servers do not use the lodctrl to place the perf monitor messages in the registry...as long as the server starts & runs ok, you can ignore these particular errors

By default, ML no longer comes with the Java runtime preinstalled. I believe the route to enabling Java if you are going to need it is to run the Java Preferences app found in Utilities. It will inform you of Java's absence and offer to install the latest version and activate it. On subsequent runs, the Preferences app will allow you to fine tune how the runtime operates.
Note that the new default operation is for the applet plugin to be disabled. You need to enable it as needed and it self-deactivates if unused in awhile. Also important to note that Java comes in both 32 and 64 bit versions and you can set the preferred order. Default is 64-bit but I've had issues with some applets failing to run and have had to switch the order.

You can't rename the actual files from Web as they export. There's nothing in the SDK on it either.
Lightroom does change the naming to make it websage. For example, spaces are turned into underscores.
If you need sequential files, I'd suggest getting the files in order, then exporting the files as highest quality Jpeg with a sequential naming system.
Click the Add to Catalog checkbox, and perhaps use 'The same folder' and then use a subfolder for organistion.
Use these new images to create the web gallery.

Creating a web gallery causing Bridge to Crash (over and over)

Please Help. I'm creating a web gallery in Bridge CS4 (windows). The HTML Gallery.
So I make my selections then click save,It starts to process than when it gets to Generate HTML,
it just sits there for a long time than crashes. This is the 4th gallery I have done and for whatever reason it just wont process.

Okay so I took the images back into photoshop to make sure the sizes were good. They are all 650x400 100dpi.
This looks good to me, in addition I renamed the files. They were all named something like this Patty_Jane.jpg,
I changed it to be pattyjane.jpg, So once again I tried to create the web gallery. NO DICE I looked through the
crash log and your correct it might as well be in mandarin. I see nothing that gives me any clues.
Any other suggestions?Thank you!
