After installing upgrade: Iphone shows only info up to july 2011

Few times a week, I plug my IPhone into the computer and synchronize. And make back up copies.
But today after upgrading the software, ITunes only shows a back up which was made at the end of july 2011. So all my info up till today seems to be gone!!!
Anyone experienced the same problem and was able to fix it?? Please help!

Called AppleCare this morning, confirmed that this is a hardware problem. Getting replacement.

You will need to connect your iPad to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over to your computer (that will copy PDFs and epubs that are in the iBooks app, not just actual ibooks), and you can then sync them to your iPhone. Or you might be able to open each PDF in iBooks on your iPad and use the share icon to email them to yourself and then use 'open in' in the Mail app on your iPhone to copy them to its iBooks app (if the PDF is protected then you may not get the email option via the share icon).
The Settings > iBooks > Sync Collections setting doesn't copy items between devices, it just means that it a bookor PDF is on both devices and you move it into a collection on one device then it will be moved into the same collection on the other device

After installing Acrobat 8, can only open Word in safe mode

After installing Acrobat 8, can only open Word in safe mode. If I delete my customized Normal.dot, then all is well. However I want the macros available from the customized Normal.dot. I tried switching Templates after opening Word and it immediately triggers an error message: "Word has encountered a problem and needs to close." It then recovers all my recent documents even though they were fine, had no need to be saved. Thinking that Normal.dot had been corrupted, I went back to the original M$ Normal.dot and re-created my macros and saved as a new Normal.dot. The next time I open Word, I get the error message.
I have a template with only one macro. It does not cause this problem. The template I prefer has 3 macros and I will need to create more.

I am told by my company's IT folks that the problem resides with Office 2003 sp3. If you remove SP3 and revert to SP2, the issue vanishes, so they say (I have not done it yet).
M$ is possibly ignoring the issue permanently, since they are on a new initiative to unseat PDF in favor of their own document format they're working on presently. I've sent a million error reports to them and....NOTHING.

Hello!
Since your iPhone has hanged on you follow these steps
Hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button until it switches off, do not let go,
Keep holding until you see the Connect to iTunes symbol
Now you can let go and plug in your iPhone to your computer and restore from backup!

It seems your device may be stuck in recovery mode. At this point your device may need to be restored. Have you created a backup at any point via iCloud or iTunes? The following article provides details on recovery mode:

Get more help
Learn what to do if you don't see your device in iTunes for OS X, or in iTunes for Windows.
If you put your device into recovery mode by mistake, restart it. Or you can wait 15 minutes and your device will exit recovery mode by itself.

Leopard problems after install/upgrade

I just installed/upgraded (from a black separately bought) leopard on my mum's iMac G5. The installation showed now problems, and then the computer restarted, booted up and gave me the account/log in screen. But here's the problem. After login in on (tried with several different accounts, but same problem), the computer freezes and then gives me the "you must restart your computer, hold down the power button," etc.
From what I've found online this is most likely a kernel error, so I tried Single User Mode (Apple(Cmd)+S), with "fsck -f" giving me = "The volume iMac appears to be OK."
I then ran Safe-mode and looked at the konsoll-log, and found these to be the last lines before the break down:

And from what I can understand, it seems like it's an old version of VirtualPC on the computer, causing the problem?
Am I right? Does anyone now how to solve this?

I would recommend an [archive and install|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1710?viewlocale=en_US]. it will give you a fresh copy of leopard while preserving your data and user settings. this will get rid of the extension conflicts which are causing the kernel panics.

Problem after installing upgrade to Fix Pack 2

Hi,
I have a formula which is performing differently after installing Fix Pack 2. The formula is being used within the spreadsheet component and I've selected the ignore blank cells in values on the behavior tab.
The formula works correctly with Fix Pack 1, but not with Fix Pack 2.
In Fix Pack 1, the spreadsheet component in design mode correctly displays one row of data (headers).
In Fix Pack 2, the spreadsheet component in design mode incorrectly displays multiple rows (this should still only show the header row).
My formula is:
IF(ISERROR(FIND($A$2,D23,1)),D23,REPLACE(D23,FIND($A$2,D23,1),1," "))
Basically what this formula does is replace a CR/LF in a field with a space.
We backed out Fix Pack 2, and the formula works correctly.
Anyone have any ideas on why Fix Pack 2 is causing this formula to behave differently?

After iOS6 upgrade iPhone 4s no longer automatically syncs by wifi when plugged in

My iPhone 4S has always synced via WiFi automatically when I plug it into the USP on my iMac to charge. After the upgrade to iOS6, when I plug the phone into the USB cable, it mounts on iPhoto and iTunes (I can see the device), and the photos sync to iPhoto. But the phone does *not* sync automatically by WiFi. I can choose it in iTunes and manually click sync and it will sync. But until the iOS6 upgrade, it would sync automatically when plugged in in my office with WiFi. This is annoying because I often forget to manually sync just assuming the phone is up-to-date because it has been charging in my office with WiFi (as it always did). Then I find myself on an airplane and none of the Podcasts or Music has synced (and no WiFi on the plane to get things from the cloud). This was never an issue until iOS6, and I haven't changed any settings other than a straight upgrade. Is there some new setting in iOS6 I need to change to go back to the old behavior of automatically syncing when plugged into USB to charge in my office with WiFi? Any help or suggestions would be truly appreciated.

Same here. I have to manually kick off a sync, so have to go to my Mac. If I forget, I don't have any new items. I've also recently found that Podcasts no longer sync from iTunes, even once I start the sync manually.

Can't log in after install upgrade to mac os x 10.6.8.

I can't log in to my admn acct. after install the upgrade to mac os x 10.6.8. I can use guest account and create other users with admn privileges, but when I try to log in to my user acct. the system apparently accepts but while the desktop is loading the system goes back to log in screen. Can I downgrade to the previous mac os x version? I can't see any of my files. I tried to restore with timemachine, but it doesn't works

Computer does the restore but, because I'm restoring from other Adm Acct, and system doesn't let me access any document residing on my acct. I'm just seen a lot of files with a red letter h. What thats means??? I'm seriously considering re-install the original version 10.6.4 and then made time machine restore. I can use the computer and mac and a fresh and new desktop with brand new applications on guest acct but where does my files gone?. by the way I don't see parallels desktop 6 for mac applcation nor windows. Parallels have posted some patches to download on their home page for parallels 6 users which upgraded to MAC OS 10.6.8 accepting what they call "problem with icons size on desktop"............and I don't know if download and install because that is not exactly my problem......please tell me some instructions because I want my fles.......

After installing upgrade (LP8), cannot hear instrument plug-ins

Finally upgraded and installed LP 8.0.2 from LP 7.2.3. Really been stable on 7.2.3 for a very, very, very long time.
MIDI works fine; records and plays back with channel strip and main level displays.
Cannot figure out why my i*nstrument plug-in*s have no audible output or visible meter display on both track and mains. Looking at the Audio Units Manager, all units are checked in the left 'Logic' column. All the 'Nodes' are checked EXCEPT for the BFD, Stylus RMX, Ivory, Kontakt player, Elastik. Attempting to check the unmarked boxes for these nodes is not possible.
What am I missing??
What's also interesting is that after installing 8.0.2, LP 7.2.3 was still in my Applications folder along with LP8; together. Shouldn't one replace the other??

The 8.02 update leaves 7.2.3 untouched. You can use either one. The other issue, I don't know other than it all worked fine here when I updated.

After installing Maverick is I unable to use Address Book, Calculator, Automator, Dictionary, Font Book, ICal and I have no Utilities, when I try it says not suitable for this version, all it keeps telling "You can’t use this version of the application" “Dictionary” with this version of OS X. what do I do next, do I try and re-install the spplications, yet my Adobe CS4 and QuarkXpress are OK.

Because something is wrong.
To fix, try the following in order, testing after each until one of these suggestions works:
(1) Restart Mac.
(2) Use Disk Utility to repair permissions.
(3) OS X Mavericks: Reinstall OS X

QuickTime stopped working after installing upgrading to Snow Leopard

I am using a MacBook Pro and was running Mac OS X Leopard, and QuickTime worked perfectly. After I upgraded to Snow Leopard I can´t get QuickTime to work. When I try to reinstall QuickTime for Snow Leopard it tells me it is already installed.
How will I get it to work again?

I hate to ask, but what does this mean? Are you double-clicking or "drop" opening a movie and no player is opening? Are you simply clicking on the application icon and no player is opening but the application name does display in the top-left area of you monitor? Do you get a modal message saying something is wrong or saying the application quit unexpectedly while opening? Please try to be more specific regarding what is actually taking place as this may provide additional clues as to whether the problem is in the application, the operating system, 32-bit/64-bit mode switching/access problems, missing playback components for 32-bit routines, component list ordering conflicts, etc.
