Can anyone help?
Have recently installed Windows Service Pack 3 and could then no longer synchronise my E90 with PC Suite. The Nokia Connections Manager has no connections even when the phone is connected by USB cable. Have reinstalled PC Suite but no success.

You have to restore the iPod via iTunes and then sync. The iPod is seeing the reformatted computer as a new iTunes library and you can only sync with one iTunes library.

T42 network connection problem after installing XP SP3
We have had problems with wireless connection after installing Windows XP SP3 on our T42 laptops.
To cut a long story short the solution was actually related to the driver for the wired ethernet card. With version 8.7.9.0 of the driver an ipconfig gave an error saying there was a hardware problem and new wireless connections could not be made without a wired connection being made first.
The solution was rolling back to driver version 7.2.17.101 at which point all the problems were resolved.
My question is what would be the pitfalls of rolling back to an older driver from 2004. In other words what is in the newer drivers that makes them 'better'. Will I now encounter a new set of problems?

Advanced Network: Proxy Settings, I uncheck "Auto Proxy detection" and make sure you have the interface you use selected and none others.
"Go into System Preferences - Network - Advanced - Proxies Uncheck "Auto Proxy Discovery", click OK, Apply"
After Unchecking "Auto Proxy Discovery" I also had to Uncheck "Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV)" and then Restart Boot Camp Assistant.
odiggy's comment and tried restarting Boot Camp Assistant. That did the trick, even though the Auto Proxy Discovery checkbox ended up the same as it started. Windows support software is now downloading... if you're downloading to an external drive make sure there's a least 1 GB of free space because the WindowsSupport folder is around 700 MB (format as FAT and MBR).

Also, Change Domain Name Servers to OpenDNS IP address servers - that should be at the router firewall rather than the OS but may be in both for some people. You may be using the defaults your ISP uses, save those if you want, and try these:

A lot of problems after installing Windows XP using Boot Camp on a Mac Book
I have been having a lot of problems after installing Windows XP Home Edition (2002).
For one, after installing Windows using Boot Camp with Mac OS X 10.5.1, I opened Windows on my Mac Book, inserted the Mac OS X Disk 1 as in the instructions and got the message: +"This package requires a newer version of the Windows installer. Do you want to update the version of the Windows Installer on your system?"+ When I clicked Yes (I had NO idea what it meant at the time), I got the message: "The required resource 'UPDATE' is missing" and the Installer quit.
How do I fix this problem?
Another problem I have is that there is no sound on the Windows XP, yet it works perfectly on Mac OS X. Is there any way to fix this problem?
A third problem I have is that I can't wirelessly connect to the internet using Window XP, yet I can on Mac OS X. I have no idea on how to fix this, and it's really messing with me. D:<
D: There are way too many problems, and I have a feeling there will be a lot more later on. Help....

The Product/Model Number of your printer. Follow instructions in this link. Finding Your HP Product Model Number.
If the printer is able to make copies.
If the printer is connected, Wireless, Ethernet, or USB.
If the power cable is plugged into a surge protector, or directly to the wall outlet. Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.

Very slow to start mac os after instaling Windows thru bootcamp
Hello. After installing Windows 7 using bootcamp, my mac became a lot slower to start mac os lion. I have filevault enabled, and it is taking a lot of seconds to display the filevault login screen.
It is also taking a lot of time to detect my magic mouse. Sometimes I need to turn of and on the mouse a lot of times to get it detected. This process usally takes minutes.

MANY issues after installing Windows XP Home Edition with Boot Camp
I have been having a lot of problems after installing Windows XP Home Edition (2002).
For one, after installing Windows using Boot Camp with Mac OS X 10.5.1, I opened Windows on my Mac Book, inserted the Mac OS X Disk 1 as in the instructions and got the message: "This package requires a newer version of the Windows installer. Do you want to update the version of the Windows Installer on your system?" When I clicked Yes (I had NO idea what it meant at the time), I got the message: "The required resource 'UPDATE' is missing" and the Installer quit.
How do I fix this problem?
Another problem I have is that there is no sound on the Windows XP, yet it works perfectly on Mac OS X. Is there any way to fix this problem?
A third problem I have is that I can't wirelessly connect to the internet using Window XP, yet I can on Mac OS X. I have no idea on how to fix this, and it's really messing with me. D:<

Is it possible that you installed Windows XPSP1 instead of the required SP2? If yes then that is cause of all of your issues listed in your post. You have no sound and you cannot connect wirelessly because you still have been unable to install the boot camp drivers when you inserted the leopard disk.
Please double check to see which version of windows XP did you install. Remember, you need windows XPSP2 for all this to work.
Now, in the event that you installed XPSP1 then you will need to get to the microsoft windows site on a different computer and burn the Service Pack 2 for windows XP on a CD. After that boot your apple mac to XP side and insert the Service Pack 2 disk and install the pack. After that, it will ask you to restart the computer which you must and then once fully booted into XP then insert the leopard CD again and see if takes and installs all the necessary drivers.

Scanning PDF to computer after installing windows 10 not working
Equipment: Pavilion 23 and HP Officejet 6600 (all in one) After installing Windows 10 the printer/scanner can not send (scan to computer) a PDF. The HP 6600 screen DOES show the computer under the "Scan to" list then once pressed it briefly says "accessing computer" with the HP logo and a spinning thing around it, then the next screen shows a list of options for document format (PDF is the first one and the one I regularly used before Windows 10). Choosing "Save as PDF" brings up a "Confirm Start Scan" screen, pressing "Start Scan" brings up "Prepairing to scan" with the HP logo and spinning thingy again then the next screen, "Scan Unsuccessful" and below that "The scan could not be completed due to one or more of the following issues - Connection to the computer is lost - The scan application on the computer is currently in use - OCR application is not installed on the computer - See the computer monitor for details" no details are on the monitor? I have tried the solutions listed here like S**/scannow (DOS ADMIN level, 100% ok) , also the "dependent settings" I know this is a Windows 10 issue because it (the HP 6600) has worked flawlessly until this "Upgrade". Yes, I uninstalled the driver, yes I downloaded HP docotor, I have tried everyting on this forum and then some (i think?)please helpthank you for your wisdom OH great one(s) Other than this A huge thumbs up to Windows 10!!!! Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I noticed that you cannot scan with your HP Officejet 6600 after upgrading to Windows 10. I am happy to help! To verify the printer's hardware is working properly, are you able to make copies from the scanner glass? Copying a Multipage Original in Order (Collating). In the meantime, please try the steps in this guide, A 'No Computer Detected' or 'Connection Error' Message Displays When Scanning for HP Officejet 6600 e-All-in-One and 6700 Premium e-All-in-One Printer Series (H711), and follow the steps for Windows 8, as they will work on Windows 10. I can no longer boot up in osx after installing windows 7 with bootcamp
After installing windows 7 with boot camp I am no longer able to access my osx side, I do not receive an option when holding alt when turning on my MacBook
What options do you get? If you don't get any options then you may not be pressing and holding the option key long enough or you are pressing it too early or too late.

Do I need to install boot camp on Windows 7 as well as on Lion? I already installed it some years ago on Leopard when installing Windows Vista on my Macbook Pro. But now after installing Windows 7, many things in windows doesn't work (sound etc.). I made a clean installation because I needed to go from 32 bit to 64 bit.
Or should I just update bootcamp in Lion? (cause when I search for "boot camp" in Windows 7 there's no result)Installation Guide

Lion's Boot Camp Assistant 4.x should have downloaded Apple drivers as part of also partitioning.
You need Apple drivers. And you then need to add on your own audio driver.
You can run Assistant at any time to download and save a set of drivers. -
How can I partition internal HDD after installing Windows 7 Professional via Boot Camp 4.0?
I recently purchased MacBook Pro 13" (Late 2011) model with OS X v10.7.2 Lion installed. I've upgraded to OS X v10.7.3 Lion and updated all other software.
I require Windows 7 for some Windows based softwares that do not support Mac OS X. Therefore, used Boot Camp 4.0 to install Windows 7 and then tried partitioning single internal HDD to have 3 partitions (4 total including BOOTCAMP partition). Disk Utility created a 648.5MB partition and then I was able to create 3 other partitions of custom sizes. After applying these changes, I got an error message that said selected volume size is too small. I resized this 648.5MB partion to a custom size and had total 4 partitions, including BOOTCAMP.
After reapplying these changes, BOOTCAMP partition was removed and I was left with only 3 partitions and empty space.
I've tried several different ways to partition the disk, all in vein. Is there a way I can partition my single internal HDD after installing Windows 7 Professional via Boot Camp 4.0?You can't do what you want with GUI utilities, which will only allow a total of 4 partitions due to the limitation of MBR needed to support Windows. Those four partitions: EFI System (hidden), Mac OS, Recovery HD (hidden), Windows. So with Lion, you only get two visible partitions if you're going to use Windows with BootCamp. You can't make anymore with the included graphical tools.
If you need more partitions you'll need to use something like GPT fdisk (gdisk) to create the partitions in the GPT first. Then add the Windows partition only to the MBR and flag it as bootable. gdisk can be googled and downloaded for Mac OS X off sourceforge. It is not a GUI tool.

I am trying to install Windows XP/Vista 32 Bit On Intel Mac Notebook through BootCamp.But after installing windows successfully,when it reboot?resatrt,It gives me error message that NO bootable Drive ,Press any to key to continue.......
I have Downloaded Windows XP/Vista 32 Bit ISO format and burned it on my DVD through Disk utility.I can install windows successfully but when it restarted then it gives that message.However I am able to locate windows hard drive after holding the Option Key and when I choose the windows HDD (BootCamp),It gives me same error.
I started the installation in osx using boot camp, and the windows was completely installed, even the boot camp driver for windows was installed and there are options to restart into either windows or mac osx.
But when I restart the machine and choose to go into windows, it just can not boot, saying no bootable device. If I insert the installation disc into the drive, then I restart and go to windows, it can boot successfully.
Please Help.

How Can you reinstall Photoshop Elements12 to a computer that its was there but loss it after installing windows 8.1
Reinstalling Mavericks depends on several factors:
if you erased your recovery partition
what OS originally came on your Mac.
I'll assume you don't have a backup available that you made before your mishap, because you didn't mention it.
That's really the take home message here: have a backup!
If you still have your recovery partition:
boot into the recovery partition (command R at restart)
use the recovery partition to reinstall Mavericks. see: OS X: About OS X Recovery
if you do not still have your recovery partition, then it depends on whether your Mac originally came with installer disks or not.
If it originally came with installer disks, you would boot from the installer disks, erase your HD, and then reinstall the OS that is on the installer disks, and then upgrade as necessary until you get to Mavericks.
If your mac did not originally come with installer disks, but you managed to erase your recovery partition, then you can try to boot into internet recovery (option-command-R at restart), and use internet recovery to erase your HD and reinstall the OS that originally came with your computer, and then upgrade to Mavericks if you need to.
