After iOS 5 update callers can't hear me

I have an AT&T iphone 4 that was working great before the update. After searching online I found someone who suggested turning the speaker on and off, that worked a couple of times, but now no one can hear me. I went to AT&T and they hadn't heard of the problem and had me call the 1-800-my-iphone number. There they had me restore the phone which worked at first, but after I reloaded my contacts, the same issue again. I have tried the restore again and no luck. Anyone else having this problem? I hoped the new update might help this, but no. My husband is starting to hate my iPhone. Please help!

Had the same issue with my Nissan Rogue 2011.
This listed below will fix it...
Go to General > Restrictions > CarPlay -- Make sure Carplay is DISABLED. (The new IOS 8 enables this on default)
Go to General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
The Nissan Rogue radio system was never designed to work with CarPlay. By default, CarPlay feature comes enabled when you install IOS 8. Suckz, right?

After ios 7 update I can no longer iMessage

After the latest update I can no longer send an iMessage. I have about 6 messages that were undeliverable. I searched the Internet and found many others are having the same issues. I asked my granddaughter to iMessage me from her phone and she said it went as a text message which I didn't get because I've blocked texting.
I re-booted, reset my network settings as suggested and nothing has done any good. There were postings that Apple is aware of this issue and will do an update thru iTunes.
Does anyone here have any ideas as to why I can't iMessage or what I can try to get it to work again?

I decided I'm just too chicken. I went to the AT&T store this morning to see if they could help me but they said since it was an Apple problem, I should call an Apple Store. I did that and they said if I would come in they might be able to help me. But that would be driving across the bridge to St. Louis County which I will NOT do. Those highways are killers.
I've been seriously considering going with a prepaid plan because AT&T is getting to me. This was probably the final straw.
I really appreciate your time but guess I'll just pass. BTW, the Apple Store said they had NO idea when Apple would update the software to fix this problem since only about 1% suffered this problem. My children had no problems at all. So strange.
I did do the hard re-boot and disabled my Network setting and also IMessaging to no avail.

If the missing email is no longer on your email provider's server, there is no way to recover them. If this is an iCloud email address, you can check your mail on icloud.com from your computer to confirm whether the lost email is there or not.

Seems like iOS 6 is having some bugs after reading this forum and by my own experience..

I have a similar problem. None of my App Icons are visible. I rebooted Iphone, PC and wireless router, I did a sync with iTunes (With "Sync Apps" checked, but it doesn't seem to go through that step), both through wi-fi and with USB cable........no success with any of these.
When I go into my settings, I can see that the phone knows about these apps. I get see the settings for them and the amount of storage they're using.
I'm thinking I'll use the Restore function in iTunes.....but I'm afraid that might make things worse!!

That may help. Extracted from that thread here's the suggestion:
To fix:
- login to DIR615 from web browser
- Navigate to > Network Settings > Advanced > Advanced Network
- De-select the "Enable Multicast Streams" check box.
- save settings
- wait for router to reboot

Can't find My Photo Stream album after iOS 8 update. Is anyone else having this problem.

That album, My Photo Stream, is no longer used.
Instead, look in "Recently Added" within Albums, and also within Photos in the various timescale views. Both places should contain photos taken by any of your devices.

Short of a reset to factory settings I've found making sure iMessaging is not left minimised helps. It doesn't seem to keep its connection. So, by closing after each use this helps. I've been doing this since I logged out of iMessaging at least 1/2 doz times and even changed my apple id pw as this had ceased to be recognised. I get fewer send failures now and don't have an inactive send button so much. Having said this its all a bit of a work around as iMessaging isn't behaving as it once did. If over time not resolved will do factory reset. All the best.

I can't disable captions/subtitles in videos after iOS 7 update.

Since the iOS 7 update, I can't disable the captions/subtitles in videos. That is to say, I never had them enabled, but they were on anyway! I saw someone else changed the language from Australian English to English, and that worked, but I'd rather look for a solution that doesn't involve that. It's not really fixing the issue.

The only thing that worked for me was to change my language settings in general settings (international) to English rather than British English. It worked for me.

IPhone 3GS Audio Volume Decrease After iOS 5 Update

The Audio/Volume on my iPhone 3GS has Decrease SIGNIFICANTLY After iOS 5 Update. Oddly, the volume of the ring is fine, and as lout as it used to be, and as loud as all other audio should be, but when using any 3rd party applications, the volume output is significantly less (about 40% less) than it used to be.
I am NOT the only person to experience this problem. Apparently, the issue has been around since this past summer, when iOS was still being developed / tested. There is a post about someone experiencing the same issue, here:

And before you ask .. I did a language change and reset, and I am still experiencing the SAME issue.

In my case I can hear nothing from the internal speakers although I can use headphones. The volume slider bar is unavailable unless I plug in headphones.
