After iOS 7 update nothing will download on my 3rd generation iPad.

Since updating to ios7 nothing will download on my 3rd generation ipad. This is even the case after restoring, what can I do to fix?

I am not getting any error messages. It just sits and spins it does not matter whether I am attempting to get new apps from the app store or download updates. Since restoring, I am trying to place apps from the cloud back on the ipad and it just continually acts like it is doing something. This is for hours on end and nothing happens.

Gotta add my voice of great frustration to ios 6, a half-baked, poorly tested operating system.
Background:
When I first updated to ios 6, my iTunes Match never synced up my music collection. My phone listed that I had only 7 gb of space left (it's a 64 gb phone) with zero songs. When attached to my computer, all my songs turned into "other" as opposed to "music." The geniuses at the Apple store could only offer the radiacal solution of "erase and reinstall" which drives me bonky. Seems like a cop out instead of fixing the problem. (I miss the good old days of os 7-9 where I could troubleshoot anything!). I found one posting which suggested a program called iExplorer, digging down to three possibly corrupt files, deleting them and then running iTunes again. That one worked, but I couldn't get any of my audiobooks to sync (could audiobooks be the crux of everything??).
Present problems:
I cannot update any apps
I cannot download any new apps
I cannot download music from iTunes Match (not because of a missing cloud, but because they won't download)
Accessing iTunes playlists are super duper slow (see #3 for possible reasons)
Battery life *****. Literally--it's being sucked out of the phone at an alarming rate)
Attempted solutions:
Before you ask, I restored my phone to factory settings and started from scratch. I reinstalled a modest amount of apps and had success until yesterday. Can't seem to update anything nor download.
I turn my phone off and on all the time with no success. I hard reset it a couple of times just to be extra sure. Nada.
When I started downloading my music, I did so from a playlist (only place to find the cloud icon) and I downloaded a third of tunes from that list. Now I have a bunch of circle icons without any downloading.
I've been on several wifi networks, as well as 4G (AT&T). Nope. Nothing.
Battery life: I turned all my e-mail accoutns to manual fetch (except my .me account, but I almost never use it). I've shut off most notifications, have a reasonable amount of location services on. I'm still draining.
So now I have a device which can make and receive phone calls (that's good--it's a phone, after all!); I can use apps as long as they don't need to be updated (and they do). BUT, I can't play the music I want to from my collection on iTunes Match and I can't get any new apps.
Help me!!!!

I should also mention that I tried the posted trick of changing the year to 2013 and attempting to update or download apps. Yeah... that doesn't work.

Since updating my 4s to iOS 7, nothing will download properly.

The only downloads that work are apps that are in my iCloud. I cannot download new apps, or any music from my iCloud. Downloads within apps aren't working either (stickers in Facebook messenger, for example). Nothing I've dine has worked, and I'm getting really sick of the inconvenience.

Solved it - had to reset via Settings - General - Reset - Reset all settings

Purchased a movie from itunes and it can't download. Says it cannot download at this time. Tried just a song and got the same message. Tried on another ipad and got the same message. Apps download from the app store without any problem.

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

by "using itunes to remove the photos" do you mean syncing an empty folder?
No. With your phone connected, itunes running, just un-check all the photos/albums, currently on your phone, under the photos tab in itunes. Hit the apply/sync button. This will remove all the photos currently synced to your phone. Once complete, just sync them back.

I have a 3rd generation iPad running iOS7.0.2, and since updating to iOS7, it will not mirror to an AppleTV. The devices will connect, but the video monitors show only a blank screen. The AppleTV's work fine with various other iOS & OSX devices. Ideas?

I have three AppleTV's where I work. I have two at home. I have an iPhone 4S running iOS7.0.2 which mirrors smoothly via AirPlay. I have a 2011 MacBook Pro and a 2011 iMac, both running Mountain Lion, both of which mirror smoothly through AirPlay. I have a 3rd generation iPad running iOS7.0.2, and since updating to iOS7, it will not mirror. The iPad will connect to the AppleTV, but the TV's and projectors only show a black screen when connected: the iPad screen looks as it should, except that the transitions become jumpy when connected via AirPlay. This is true on both networks: at home and at work. Another gentleman using the network where I work has the most recent iPad, also running iOS7.0.2, and he is having the same problem. I have tried to "Reset All Settings." I have tried to "Restore." Does anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone else experience difficulty mirroring the iPad through AirPlay since the release of iOS7.0.2?

No problems exists with the router (on either network described above) or the multiple AppleTV's which are able to mirror multiple other OSX & iOS devices seamlessly. The problem is strictly with the iPad and iOS7.

This is an iOS 7 AirPlay mirroring bug...
To make matters worse, the iPad automatically drops its mirroring session 45 seconds after it auto-locks.
3-4 mirroring sessions is all it takes for the iPad mirroring to freeze up.
After this happens, mirroring to an Apple TV only projects a blank screen.
Once the mirroring is hung, the only way to fix it is to restart the iPad.
Apple please fix this iOS 7 issue!

I will try am explain what I see: I hooked up my I Pod Clicked on Music checked Sync Music 1909 Songs select Playlist, Artists, albums, and genres checked Include music videos Playlists checked 50's Music checked 70's Music checked 80's Music checked 90's Music checked 2000 Music checked 2010 Music These are songs that I downloaded onto my I Tunes. I bought me a new computer but when my data was transferred from old computer to new computer a lot of my songs on my hard drive were lost, but they were able to save all my songs on I tunes. My I Pod is still connected Clicked on "On this Ipod" Music 938 Songs 2.2 days So my question to you is if I have 1,909 songs on my ITunes how come only 938 transferred to my IPod. I checked my IPod and it shows only 938 songs transferred. This did not happen before until I Tunes asked me if I wanted to update to a newer version. Can't connect to wifi after IOS update. Do you know a solution?

Loaded the new update and now it is sporatic connections with the wi fi. I have unplugged the router and all that, still no luck. It will work normally very briefly, but only briefly after I unplug the router, etc.
Do any of you have a solution to fix this?

Troubleshooting
As with all clickwheel iPods, you can reset this iPod by first toggling the hold switch on and off and then simultaneously pressing the select (center) and menu buttons for approximately 5-10 seconds. This is a common fix should your iPod behave unexpectedly or lock up. Once reset, the iPod should display an Apple logo for a few seconds before showing the main menu. This procedure is similar to rebooting a computer and damages none of your music or data.

Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Here are some troubleshooting steps that I would recommend going through when experiencing this issue. They are labeled for the iPhone; however, the steps also apply to your iPad. Also, make sure to test the camera in well lighted conditions as this can affect picture quality.
Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

I am trying to download itunes but the window says that there is an error on page, so nothing will download. I was able to download quicktime without any issues. I am running on windows xp and not real computer savvy, so non techy terms will help me the best, thanks much.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not downloading properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

This does not work in my case.
Situation: we have wifi at home using WPA encryption.
The iPod Touch 8GB connected seamless to this network and anything was ok. After some days i could no longer connect, the iPod told me "connection to network 'networkname here' failed". Deleting the network and reenter the (correct) passphrase was no help, but changing the SSID on the router was helpful: the iPod could connect again ... for several days.
Now things stopped working again. Resetting network settings did not help either.
The iPod can see the network, is asking me for the passphrase and after several seconds telling me: can't connect. On the router log i don't even see a dhcp request, but other laptops work fine with the same wifi network.
That's a mess, i cannot and will not change the SSID every some days just to get the iPod working again.
