After iOS 8 update can't upload photos to Facebook using the FB app, it says no connection

SInce iOS 8.1 update which was hours ago im not able to upload photos to Facebook using its app, I can straight from the photo album but that's not how I'm used to neither how I like it, I get a "no internet connection" error, it's happening either ways on 3G or Wifi

Wife had the same problem which I have just fixed by deleting the FB app and reloading it. Works fine now.

It is peculiar, that Chrome, Safari, and Skype can access FB, but not the iPhoto uploader.
Do you see any error messages/ diagnostics in the Console Window, when you try to connect to Facebook?
Launch a Console window from Applications > Utilities and clear the Console Window. Then try to upload. Are there any new messages?
And also launch a Terminal and have a look, if "facebook.com" is properly resolved:
Type

into the window. Do you see any transmissions? What is the IP address used?

2 Main issues since doing the Iis upgrad on my iPad. Can't upload photos to facebook using Safaur. Will work with the FB a app, but I don't like tht app. Also can't copy paste consistently. I'm an admin in several facebook groups and this is really causing me issues. Crashes about the same. Do just wait and see??

i have the same ipad 4 & not been able to upload a single photo since updating to iOS8 at the weekend.
ive tried resetting, closing apps, Chrome, but nothings helped.
It must be because of the update, I never had a problem before.
I trust Apple will sort it out, I just hope they don't take too long, I NEED to be able to upload photos, its my living! And the primary use of my iPad.
i Expect a 2 year old, £400 bit of kit to be reliable, this is costing me money!
i think it's incredibly irresponsible of Apple to release this update without either testing it or giving a warning.
being able to upload photos isn't a minor issue & should never have happened.
i Hope Apple read these comments and take some action!
otherwise i suspect there will be a lot of angry, upset people around.

I would reset the iPad by turning it off (holding the lock button and sliding the red slider), and turn it on again. If that doesn't work, I would contact the developers of the Facebook app by going to the app store, finding the page for the app and click the report problem button. Hope that helps!

I think you have to have the files on your HD. So either put them in iPhoto or copy them to a folder in Finder, and from there you can upload to Facebook.

After downloading IO6, can't capture photos from Facebook. I get "save photo" instead of "save image". While browsing, save image comes up and photos save to camera roll. Seems to be a problem only on FB.

Downloaded IO6 on my iPhone 4s. Now I can't capture a photo off Facebook to the camera roll. When I try, I get a "Save Photo" tab rather than a "Save Image" button, The photo does not save to camera roll. For email images and Safari images, "save image" comes up and save to camera roll. Seems only a problem with images on FB. Any ideas? Thanks

You launched iPhoto and from its Preferences you selected Connecting camera opens.....

Until Friday I used a blackberry. On the BB I could snap a photo and the camera app had a posting menu that included facebook. Now on my iphone 4s the camera has a posting menu too, but Facebook is not one of the options. Is there a reason for this? In order to post to FB I now have to close out of the camera app, open facebook, click the upload photo toggle, search for the photo I just took THEN upload it. There's got to be a better way, right?

It is a horrific app.
It uses data to play the podcasts which, once downloaded should not reqiure wifi to play!
Fix it, otherwise stop forcing us to use it and allow us a choice!

They do. There's lots of podcasting apps in the store, and you can erase the podcasts app and go back to the old way of playing them with the music app. Biggest downside is that you can't download podcasts on the phone without the podcasts app, so either do it on your computer or download the app, get the podcasts and erase the app. There's a few topics on here on how to do this. Search is your friend.

So you made a new Apple ID? Unfortunately that won't work. Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one ID to another and Apple does not merge Apple IDs. What should have been doen is mearely change the email address that was associated with the Apple ID.

The only way that you can do this now is with a new email address if you used your current email address for the new Apple ID.
