After iOS 8 wifi is being disabled automatically on its own. Even after tapping on wifi signal downward notification link, problem is not solved.
After I got updated to iOS 8 on iPhone 5c purchased 3 months back, after I tapped on wifi symbol in notification tab, first there will be a signal on top left corner but when I open safari it showed " there is no network or wifi" with message of "cellular data turned off ". Again I have to open settings and turned off and on wifi to get the signal and connected to network. There is no problem with my wifi signal or network but I don't use cellular data at all. Kindly look into the issue and provide me with a solution. Thank you apple and Tim cook. Rip Steve Jobs.
I have an iPhone 5C.
iOS 8.0 disabled my Wi-Fi. Actually not just disabled, it made my phone behave as it did not have W-Fi. I could not re-enable wi-fi.
Restarting my phone or resetting network settings made me no difference.
Solution:
Power down iPhone for a few minutes
Power-up and Wi-Fi is back again!
After updating to the latest iOS 8.0.2 it disabled my Wi-Fi again. Following the power-down procedure above fixed it.

I did an IOS update and now my iPad is stuck in recovery mode and I can't get it out. I have tried to restore through iTunes, but after restore it says it is still in recovery mode. Please help!
Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is app and data safe!

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash/downgrade
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these (or the one created when you upgraded to the version you are downgrading from) and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

I have apple iPhone 4S upgraded to iOS 6.0.1 and everything was working fine suddenly my Wifi was not connecting and found the wifi on/off button is greyed out and to enable it I tried all resets but still my problem have not solved, still wifi is off
Same here.... No fix. Replacing is the option apparently and if you're out of warranty, you're SOL. That was as per the "Genius" at Apple.

I am having issues with adjusting the duration of time for each still frame and transition in imovie 11. Each time that I adjust these times, the application does not accept the change, and instead automatically enters its own time. Is there a work around this? Or am I doing something wrong? Please Help!
Thank you,
lagrlHave you tried turning off automatic transitions ? Choose file - project properties and follow the dialogue box to change duration with a slider. iMovie also doesn't allow a transition to be more than 50% duration of the clip its attached to. In other words if the clip is 4 seconds the transition cannot be more than 2 seconds and remember that relates to the first clip as the following clip (right side) is pulled back to overlay it.
Does this help. Perhaps you already know this ? -

Hardware: Z10 STL100-3
OS 10.0.10.85
Have noticed that when my Z10 is unable to connect to Wifi the profile is automatically disabled, and I have to manually re-enable it. This happens both at work and at home where the failure to connect is temporary (if I manually re-enable the profile and hit "Connect" it connects).
Is thre any way to prevent the OS from automatically disabling the Wifi profile, or at least let me chose whether to or not? My guess is "No" or "not yet" since there's a long-running forum thread on this exact same issue over on CrackBerry and no solution has been posted yet. Just thought I'd try over here just in case...Hi colinwu and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
Does the Wi-Fi network appear as one of your saved networks? Does this happen with all of Wi-Fi networks?
Thanks.

I can't connect to the App Store after iOS 7 upgrade
I could always connect, but I couldn't search for anything.
Just tried the steps in this thread:
Log out (Settings > iTunes & App Store) then did a hard reset (Home and Power button) then signed back in.
That worked for me. -
Wifi problem did not solve!
Hey guys ! After the update if ios6.0.1 ! My wifi still did not solve! It does not connect when it in lock screen mode. It will auto connect back after I unlock my screen! Anyone have the same problem with me? Any solution to contact apple or a solution for me? Thanks!
This is the way iOS is designed to work.
There is no issue.
Wi-Fi turns off in sleep mode to save battery life. Wi-Fi will stay on in sleep mode if the device is plugged into external power. -
ASA failover: secondary ASA disabled failover on its own
Hi all
I have a failover pair of ASA 5520 (Software Version 8.2(4)4)
located in two different data centers.
Because of a network issue the layer 2 connection between both locations has been interrupted for a couple of seconds and the ASAs went into split-brain as one would expect them to do.
The thing is that after approx. 1 minute the secondary ASA switched off its failover configuration (i.e. "show run" gives "no failover") without anybody telling it to do so. Here is the "show failover history" of the device:
07:57:34 MESZ Aug 15 2011
Standby Ready Just Active HELLO not heard from mate

07:58:03 MESZ Aug 15 2011
Active Cold Standby Failover state check
07:58:18 MESZ Aug 15 2011
Cold Standby Disabled HA state progression failed
At this point failover was switched off completely and the split-brain remained even after the layer-2-connection has been reestablished.
This is no good.:( I have searched for "HA state progression failed" without any useful result/explanation.
Why did the device switch off failover on its own and how can we assure that it won't do this again?
Best regards,
GrischaYes, only thing I needed to do was issuing "failover" on the secondary. It detected its active mate and went properly into standby:
09:16:18 MESZ Aug 15 2011
Disabled Negotiation Set by the config command
09:16:19 MESZ Aug 15 2011
Negotiation Cold Standby Detected an Active mate
09:16:21 MESZ Aug 15 2011

09:16:31 MESZ Aug 15 2011
Sync File System Bulk Sync Detected an Active mate
09:16:31 MESZ Aug 15 2011
Bulk Sync Standby Ready Detected an Active mate
I guess we will go the TAC way if we encounter this situation a second time. This time we will be warned and know where to look at.
Is there really no documentation available of the "HA state progression failed" message? What does it mean and how is it triggered usually?
Regards,
Grischa -
After installing Leopard, my iMac starts up on its own at 10PM
Hello.
I just installed Leopard on my iMac last night, and everything seemed to be ok - except for the long lasting blue screen after starting up, which I will take care of soon. However, after I shut it down, the machine started up on its own at 10 PM. I shut it down. Today, when I got home at 10:13 PM, it was on again, without anybody touching it. It must have started up at 10, because the screen was not sleeping. I checked the System Preferences to see if any start up were scheduled, but no. Any insights on what might be going on? Could I have done anything wrong upon installation?
Thank you for your time and help!
Miss_BI've got to ask this question because in all of the years I have used Apples and Macs, I didn't know you could schedule a start up.
Where in System Preferences do you do that? I didn't see an icon for start ups other than startup disk and didn't find anything there. -
My iPad indicates that it is disabled. When I try to backup from my PC, it tells me to disable FindMyPhone. I removed the device from FindMyPhone (couldn't see how to turn it off in iCloud) but, when I return to iTunes, it continues to tell me to turnoff FindMyPhone. I've verified the iPad isn't showing on FindMyPhone anymore. What do I do to get into my iPad? Please help!
Hi, leahbrbus.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here are the steps that I would recommend going through when experiencing this issue.

How can I downgrade to iOS 7? I believe iOS8 is my problem.
You can't but you can try updating to iOS8.1.1 which has fixed many iPad2 users issues.
Cheers
