Same phone and ios, same problem. Worked just fine for me Sunday, but nothing today, all day. As a workaround I found I can still connect using iTunes on my Macbook Pro, the I synch my iPhone. There are way too many people with the same problem for it to be anything but Apples problem. Hope this helps.

Hello there, I'm new to the Apple world, and I'm still learning my way around.
Why is when I try to download from the App Store, it says "The application cannot be downloaded."
It doesn't ask me for payment or anything. When I click on download, about 10 seconds later, that message pops up and nothing is downloaded onto my laptop. I can download other stuff onto my laptop for e.g. Microsoft Word and other various programs such as Google Chrome from the internet. However, I just cannot download from App Store. Any suggestions on how I can download apps?There is nothing wrong with my iTunes, is more of the App store that I am concerned about. And I've tried the "Authorise this computer" yes it does download when using iTunes, but no luck with App Store. And, yes I am logged onto iTunes when doing purchases.
I find this really fustrating because the App store works fine on my ipod but once it comes to my macbook, it does not download. A few seconds later after I click on an app to download, the pop up message notifies me that the purchase cannot be downloaded.

When I try opening iPhoto on my iMac (OSX 10.9.2) it says I must first download the update; when I try doing so from the App store, it says there are no updates available. Stuck in a classis Catch-22 - any ideas how I might solve the problem?
Thanks a lot for your swift response. And sorry if it was a bit too hectic to go through my detailed query (which I did because it was misunderstood when I asked previously). As I've mentioned above, I was informed that updating to 5.0.1 would '''require''' me to '''delete''' the current version and then install the new one. And doing so will involve losing all my bookmarks. I guess I should have been more specific and detailed there. By losing, I didn't mean losing them forever. I'm aware that they're secured in some place and deleting and installing the software doesn't harm its existence. What I meant that if I install the new version, I'd have to delete the old one. And after installing the new version, I'd have to transfer them (bookmarks) back from wherever they are. Get it? When it updated from 3.6.9 to 3.6.13, and from 3.6.13 to 3.6.18, I didn't need to follow that process. They were already present on their own.
BTW, I'm having no problems with 3.6.18 but after learning about the existence of version 5.0.1, I'm a bit too eager to lay my hands over it.

ok my phone was wet in a pool did the rice thing and then dryed it and it comes on when plugged to the wall. it says to connect to itunes and when I try to plug it to my computer on itunes it shuts off? help what should I do:(

When I try to log into the app store to update apps or buy apps the user name that appears is an old one and it will not bring up the current user name/ email how do I stop that so that my current email show up ??
Settings>Store: Tap the AppleID and choose "Sign Out", it will then prompt you to sign in and you can use the new AppleID.
NOTE: Apps must be updated with the AppleID they were purchased under.

Keep getting "cannot connect to iTunes" message when i try to update apps.
Everytime i go into the app store and click "updates" i am getting the message from above. It is noit that im not connected to the internet because i am having no problem downloading apps and songs from iTunes. I have recently changed my apple I.D. So i have reverted back to my old I.D. as someone suggested but still nothing. I was told my apple I.D. and password needed to be the same. as the ones i used to download them but i have changed my password and now cant change it back because it doesn't have enough characters in my old password

Have you tried rebooting your router - unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again - or temporarily disabling your firewall or anti virus software?
Restart or reset the iPad?
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -
I tried to get on the App Store and it said cannot connect to iTunes Store but I setup my iMessage with the same apple ID. So I went to the settings and tried to put my apple ID and it said cannot connect to iTunes Store AGAIN.

I have verified my Apple Id. It even shows verified when I log in to My apple Id. But when I try to log in through the app store it says its not verified. How do I solve this?

My rue la la app for ipad stopped working. I deleted the app and tried to reinstall it, it is no longer available in the app store and when I research it on safari and find it when i try to install it says that it is not available in the us store. What is that all about?
My app did the exact same thing. It is still unavailable on the App Store and when Rue La La's site directs you to download their app, the "not available in the U.S. message appears. This happened to me last night. The app wasn't working, I deleted it and was just going to reinstall but was unable to find the app. I figured it was some glitch but I have tried multiple times this afternoon to no avail.

When I try to search in the App store I get a "cannot connect to iTunes" error.
Everything else in the store works, i.e. top charts, updating apps, etc. It's not my internet because iTunes works on my phone via wifi and 3G. I have tried taking the iPad back to factory settings, resetting the iPad with an iCloud back up, tried using another network, tried setting the time a year ahead and reverting back, tried setting the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and still wont work. Note: This is only when I try to search in iTunes.
Addition: iTunes wont let me search either. So App Store and iTunes wont let me search.That is a know problem. See:

Hi again,
Make sure that you have a Wi-fi / 3G connection and these are turned on.
Try resetting your Wi-Fi router by turning it off and then on again.
Check and verify that Restrictions on your iPad is turned off (Settings > General > Restrictions).
Tap Settings > Store on your device and sign out, then sign in again.
Tap Settings > Store > Apple ID > view Apple ID and turn off Genius for Apps.
Turn off and on (restart) your iPad.

The reason, I included the annotation that I'd upgraded my Itunes, (On my Computer) is B/C in many forums - the very first question, *HELPERS* ask, is. "Do you have the latest version of Itunes downloaded on your computer." I wanted to knock out any obvious replies.
Now- "DO YOU have any idea,"... how your UNHELPFUL remarks, do absolutely nothing but hurt others that might not have the EXPERIENCE you have? How do you expect people to know things without asking questions? Whew! RUDE!!
