After iOS6 upgrade - Wifi won't connect to my Ipod Touch!
I keep getting the circle thingy by my home Wifi connection... as if it's thinking. It never gives me an error and I let it think for about 10 mins. .... just around and around and around the circle goes......
any help?
Same deal here. Also, Windows isn't recognizing it as an iPod with apple drivers, but some old MS ones from 2006. When I try to load in the drivers using the .inf file, it says its incompatable.
Might be an issue with iTunes 10.7 perhaps and not the iPod Touch 4 itself? Of course, iTunes does recognize the New iPad just fine, so, take that as you will.
Either way, it needs to get fixed.

i am trying to get my old ipod touch to connect to my wireless. my iphone and daughters iphone connect fine. i have tried all of the troubleshooting lists already. is it possible the wifi doesnt work anymore? i also tried another wifi at starbucks and it didnt pick that up either. help!!!
Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order -
After upgrading to iOs7, my wifi won't connect!!!
I did the most recent upgrade to iOs7, and now my wifi won't connect at my house. My two ipads, computer, and AppleTV all work perfectly, but my phone will not connect. I'm getting the error, "Unable to join the network (insert network name here)." I have tried to reboot my phone, as well as resetting the Network Settings. Please help!!!!
The new operating system seems to have an issue with apostrophes. At least when it comes to wi-fi.
Check out your device name. If it is called something like “Claire’s iPhone” it could be the apostrophe that is causing the problem.
To change your device name go to Settings > General > About > Name. Tap on the name to edit it and remove the apostrophe. Save the change. Switch off your phone and then switch it back on again.
Your wi-fi should be working. -

I was upset about the YouTube app as well, and my initial impressions were that the Apple YouTube app was better, but after using it a bit I realized the Google YouTube app was actually better. Some of the features are initially not obvious (in this case it was a matter of what I was used to), but they are all there and more. It seems to generally work better too.
I don't stream an awful lot, but I have not experienced any wifi drops while doing so yet.

How do I fix this on my iPhone 4S?Same phone and ios, same problem. Worked just fine for me Sunday, but nothing today, all day. As a workaround I found I can still connect using iTunes on my Macbook Pro, the I synch my iPhone. There are way too many people with the same problem for it to be anything but Apples problem. I've had almost every issue you've had. Finally on Friday the screen blacked out. It was obviously still charged, since I could hear the message ring, but when I tried to light up the display it didn't light so I was unable to get to it unless I removed the battery. Then, as soon as the display timed out, I couldn't get it lit up again without removing battery. I had the same slow movements throughout the display as well as slow text messaging. Every issue you had other than the alarm clock (that always worked well).
I took it in yesterday and, after over an hour spent there with a 'professional', I still had no answers. He told me to come home and copy everything from my sd card to my computer, then re-format my card. Well, my phone didn't even recognize that I had an sd card installed!! Nor did my computer!
So then I got to experimenting...I removed the card and viola!!!!!! The phone worked GREAT! It's never worked so fast! I then installed my husbands sd card to see if it was my phone's card reader or my card. Turns out that the phone still worked great with his card installed and it did recognize his card in my phone. So, my conclusion is that I need a new card. I couldn't believe the difference in speed of everything! It's like a brand new phone!
As for the hard reset...I did that over the weekend, before I could get to a verizon store. It didn't work at all.
I'd say, do the same thing I did and see if that works. Can't hurt!!! Please keep me posted. I'd like to see what you find out

After Mavericks upgrade WiFi is erratic
After Mavericks upgrade WiFi network (Time Capsule) drops out frequently effecting my iPhones on iOS 7.04 - but my iPad is OK at all times. The WiFi scanner takes 5/6 minutes to scan now, 30 seconds on mounton Lion.
I can suggest a few things to try but I am yet to see a solution.. I am not prepared to move to Mavericks until a couple of revisions fix the beta standard of some of these things. TM in particular seems to have badly suffered.
Are you using wireless? Especially double hop wireless with the TC as the extend.. don't!!
Use ethernet direct to the TC and turn off wireless.. see if that helps.
Otherwise I reckon until Apple get an update use a local usb disk plugged into the computer and don't try and use TM to network drive. Or if you still want to use the network drive use something like CCC which should be fine under Mavericks since it is a much more robust software. (without lots of bells and whistles.. but functional). -
MY home wifi won't connect to my iPhone 4S. It connects to every other device besides my phone! I've tried everything from troubleshooting! It can't find the wifi and when I reset network connections it now won't even let me turn it on! Pleaseeeee someone help this Is driving me crazy!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!
Try erasing your network preferences again from settings-about-reset and erase or something like this and try reconnecting if the problem persists try changing the name and password of your router and if you it keeps not connecting you will have to try restoring your iphone through itunes on your PC.

My app store won't work on my iPod Touch 4gen running on ios 6.1.5 and when I open app store it says "cannot connect to iTunes Store" i shut my ipod down and turned it back on but it still dosn't work but it will open on my Mac Book Air. My WiFi is not working on my ipod touch third gen. The wifi option in setting is blanked out so i am unabole to select it. I have tried restored it and resetting network connections. Also the battery life is very low. How do i fix this????????????
If a restore did not fix it, you have a hardware issue--possible bad wi-fi radio.

What version of iTunes is on the computer? You need at least 11.4.

If You Are Locked Out Or Have Forgotten Your Passcode or Just Need to Restore Your Device
1. iTunes 10 for Mac- Update and restore software on iPod, iPhone, or iPad
2. iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen

If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. Problems connecting powerbook to ipod touch through wifi

I searched for previous posts but couldn't find a solutuion. I have been using the high speed internet from my powerbook to connect to my iPod Touch through wifi to be able to use the internet on my ipod close to my computer.

I have been using these instructions successfully to connect my ipod to my powerbook for several months but now it has stopped working. When I get to System preferences>sharing>interenet and I select "Share yur connection from: Built-in ethernet", the only opions I have for "To computers using:_______" are "Built-in Ethernet" and "buildt-in Firewire" nothing about airport. Also at the bottom of the sharing window the "Airport Options" is greyed out and I can't select it. So I went to system preferences>network and my airport is listed but "Airport is currently off" So I click "Connect..." and the "Internet connect" window opens to the "airport" tab. "Airport Power: Off" and everything is greyed out so I can't select anything. And at the bottom of the window. "Status: No Airport Hardware found". So I went to the system profiler clicked on "network" on the left hand side, then clicked on "Airport" at the top right under "active services" and then looked a the information on the lower right side of the window:
