After ITunes opens an error pops up

I downloaded the newest version of ITunes 7.0.1 and now right after it opens a window pops up saying that itunes encountered a problem and needs to close. Then when i hit dont send or send error report itunes shuts down

sorry, didn't mean to alarm you. it was my frustration speaking. (i've gone from having a 100% reliable troubleshooting technique for this one, to having to work out precisely what we should do when the QT standalone installer isn't as current as the version that comes with itunes.)
okay, let's see if we can convince the itunes repair install to drop a fresh QT in there if we manually remove existing QT program files and folders first.
1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
3. Open Program Files.
4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
7. Restart your computer.
after the PC restarts, let's try the repair install again (taking the same precautions as we did the previous time).
any better success with that approach?

Itunes opens with error -50 on my Mac. Once open signing in causes error 5002. Signing in from App store just fails. My Mac pc does not appear to be registered anymore and I can't sign in. On screen Support buttons don't connect so can't contact support online. Tried all the work arounds in discussions but no joy. Even tried deleting itunes to start agin but you can do that apparently. For one work around I Signed in through Safari to change payment details but payment option was not displayed. Getting really p'd off. All is ok on my iphone/ipad etc but not my main pc. Found a fix that worked, didnt even need to refresh the network settings
Click the Finder icon in the Dock.
Choose Go to Folder from the Go menu.
Type: /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
Click Go.
In the Finder window, locate the file named "NetworkInterfaces.plist" and drag this file to the Trash.
Restart your computer.
Once your computer has restarted, you will not be able to connect to the Internet. You will need to refresh your network settings to be able to connect again:
Choose System Preferences from the Apple () menu.
Choose Network from the View menu.
If you're using Mac OS X v10.4, choose New Location from the Locations menu.
Click Apply Now at the bottom right.
If your network connection requires any special settings, you will need to put them back in at this point. You would have received these from your ISP or network administrator.

IPod nano disconnects after iTunes opens

Product: iPod nano Model MC696C; OS: Windows 7 Home; iTunes new install 20150412. This is the first install of iTunes on this computer. The iPod worked fine on previous XP computer for several years. Now, when I plug in the iPod, it connects, iTunes opens, recognizes the iPod, and after a few seconds the iPod disconnects. The same thing occurs on a restart with the iPod plugged in beforehand. I need to reorganize and replace some songs on the iPod.

ITunes opens with error -42110 in Windows 8

Have a variety of iTunes libraries.
All those running on Windows 8 have an error -42110 on opening.
Googling yields no help.
Anyone? What causes error and what does it mean. And how is it fixed?

i got this one as well and the solution worked (remove the directory c:\programdata\apple computer\itunes\sc info)
I get another error tho trying to connect to the itunes store -3212. funny itunes didn't have any problems at all until i installed 11.0.2 yesterday. it's not me, it's you (apple itunes).

Shuffle disappears from my desktop after itunes opens

I had to restore my shuffle and now when I plug it in to my computer it shows up for a few seconds on my desktop but once itunes loads it disappears and I can't use it as a flash drive anymore.
I remember when I first got it I had to set it to be used as a flash drive but I can't figure out how to do that again.

My Ipod and Itunes are upto to date. After Itunes opens a small box with the word Ipod appears near the top of the right side of the screen. Then screen will go through the five steps of syncing. Afterward, still nothing has transfered to my Ipod(The box next to the songs I wanted were check)

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar
Then make sure that you have the right boxes chacked to sync. See:

Prior to iTunes opening a notice appears stating to re-install as certain drivers missing to burn CD's etc

Hi, Just recently, whenever I open iTunes in my Windows 8.1 Desktop PC a notice appears - see attached - asking me to re-install iTunes. I have and it makes no difference, it still appears. The daft thing is that after iTunes opens I CAN burn CD's etc; so what is going on?

I've been assuming so, but mostly on the basis of negative evidence ... I've been looking around the various Apple and Microsoft troubleshooting documents, and they've been listing treatments related to this sort of manual filter edit without saying you shouldn't use this on Windows 8/8.1. (In cases where there's, for example, a specific alternative fixit for a Windows 8.x issue, they'll give links to the new 8.1 fixit as well as the older fixits. Or where there's instructions that are specific to a particular operating system, like XP, they'll say for XP only or something like that. I haven'e seen anything like that that would suggest that the filter edits are only applicable to XP, Vista or 7, not 8.x.)
If you'd like to doublecheck, it might be worth posting over at the Microsoft Windows 8 communities asking for clarification. (Provide a link back to this thread to give them some context for your query. Fingers crossed, one of the content providers there will be able to put you straight:

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The section Install missing components may allow you to install Apple Application Support.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)
