After logging into facebook, I get an "access denied" message. It says I don't have permission to access facebook on this server but this is my home computer.
Recently I've had trouble either when I try to login to facebook or after I've logged in. Usually, it's a page that says "access denied" and follows with a statement similar to not having permission to access facebook on this server. It doesn't happen every time but when it does I try various ways to get back to my facebook page...usually I can google facebook and login that way. Today it won't let me do that either. Does anyone know what this means? I don't know hardly a thing about computer technology so I don't even know where to start. Thanks!

Create a Bookmark for Facebook. Don't go via Google.
If you are using Safari... go to the Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab.
Click: Show Cookies
Delete all Facebook cookies.
Now from the menu bar again click Safari / Empty Cache.
Restart your Mac, launch Safari, try Facebook.
If you still have problems, quit Safari.
Open Keychain Access /Applications/Utilities
Select Passwords on the left.
Delete the Facebook and Safari Forms Autofill keychains. Now go to the menu bar top of your screen click Keychain Access / Keychain First Aid. Enter your admin password on the left then click Verify and Repair if necessary.
Relaunch Safari. Go to Facebook. Login with your user name and password. You should be prompted to save that data to a new keychain. Click Yes.

Yep, there seems to be an issue with this. In addition to getting that error on my iTunes on my PC, I get an error when trying to update apps on my iPhone 5.

Right click on the hard drive icon and select Get Info. (If there is no right click on your mouse, click once then type command + i - two keys together).
This is the bottom part of the pane that comes up:
1. Click on the padlock and authenticate with your password.
2. Look at your name and make sure it says "Read & Write. If it does not, change it by clicking on whatever is there.
3. Click on the gear, and select "apply to enclosed items".
This will take some time. When it is done close this pane. -
I've recently bought a mac please help.. after mislaying the mac disc which was included in elements 11 ( on my main tower i installed the windows disc in the box with no problem) i spoke with adobe who gave me a link to download for my mac the use the same serial number... the problem is it downloaded until the last 30 secs then error came up i don't have permission to access the request.

If you get an error message that you do not have sufficient permissions or have other problems with updating to update then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

403 forbidden you don't have permission to access / on this server Error
I just deployed my server 2012 & exchange 2013. Serv#1 domain name is xyz.com. and Serv#2 exchange server: mail.xyz.com. My server is also hosting DHCP Server. After installing the servers, every time when i go to
my website - www.xyz.com (it is hosting by third party Webmaster) it give me error message: 403 forbidden you don't have permission to access / on this server Error. What can I do to result this problem.

You don't have permission to access ** on the server, HELP please
For the last months I've been working with Muse and updating my website through Muse without any problems.
I use my extern HTML for update pages in Muse, and usually this went without any problems too.
But if I test my new update, when I want to download a specific clip, it says: "You don't have permission to access ** on this server."
The files are in the correct place on my FTP, the link is correct and when I open the specific link in my browser without using my website, I CAN download the file.
How is it possible that this suddenly doesn't work anymore? Last time I updated this way was one week ago - without any problems.
Can anyone help, seeing I have done everything I usually do, and everything is in the correct place and the link does work.
ThanksIn my case I have to close/quit Muse. Then re-open the program. For me the problem goes away. This only happens occasionally.

She doesn't have admin privileges, so when I tried to install Firefox 4 in her account, I had to authenticate with my admin identity and PW. Installation went smoothly after that. My guess is that you could also simply create a new account on the same machine and install Firefox 4 from that. I have no idea why this works.

That's unlikely. You would have had to save a document into another user's account and be trying to work on it - directly from their account.

hi, I have a macbook pro with a new hard drive installed and restored. My WD external drive backup on time machine now wont let me access the files. I get a prompt saying 'you do not have permission to access the files' After my new drive was installed I plugged in time machine and it started backing up. I paused it when I realised that it was running for more than a few minutes. I now realise that it probably started backing up the new hard drive all over again. Which makes me think that the original back up must be on the WD back I cant seem to access it. Any ideas would be helpful.

When I try and move an application to my application folder from the installer and when I try to empty the trash, I get the error message, "The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items." Always use the same websites you are having problems with so you can monitor the changes.

Yes- it is a Mac. I went through adobes system requirements and re- downloaded supportive software. The notice seems to happen near the end of the down load with the messages above. I'll look into your suggestion. Thank you- appreciated.
