After logging on you yahoo this am, my calendar and notepad are gone. When I click on them I just get a blank screen. I am not very computer literate and need help getting them back.

When I usually go into yahoo mail, there is an icon at the top left hand side to access my calendar and notepad. They are both gone, but there is a field in the bottom left corner that has the buttons. When I click on either one, I just get a blank screen. I've not updated by Firefox to a new version and can't imagine what happened overnight.

This sounds more like it's a temporary problem with Yahoo's mail website. My advice at this point is to see if this fixes itself within a few hours. If not, please come back (actually, do come back regardless and let us know if your problem is solved).

    There are no Mac drivers for the HP Officejet K60 printer. Therefore it is not compatible with the Mac operating systems. Please call our technical support at 800-474-6836.   • Had to uninstall iWork trial since I bought the pages app and it wouldn't let me print or save.  Now the app store says I have pages installed but I can't find it anywhere to open and use it.  I'm not very computer savvy and am getting frustrated!

    Ooops, guess I didn't need to post everything in the title - sorry!  I bought the pages app - but couldn't save or print so with some online searching found that I had to uninstall the iWork trial which had expired.  I did that - but now I can't figure out how to re-install the pages app!!  The app store says it's installed, but I can't find it anywhere to open and use it.  I'm not very computer savvy - and am a first time Mac user and am getting extremely frustrated!  I e-mailed some help center and they can't seem to help me either.  I would appreciate any help/advice that can fix my problem - thanks in advance!!

    OK Apple has stuffed up the demo version upgrade process so the first thing you need to do is get rid of the demo.
    That includes getting rid of the files in the system.
    The instructions how to do that are here:
    Note That where you see / that is the sequence of folders, each nested inside each other.
    User/Library/Preferences the com.apple.iwork.Keynote.plist
    Means the User (you, the little home icon, whatever you are called on your computer) then the Library folder inside that and then the Preferences folder inside that.
    Lion initially hides the System folders from you so you have to go to the Finder > Menu > hold down the option key and click on GO > Library to see it.

    I'm not sure what "virus" you're referring to. Your tags indicate DNSChanger, but that did not involve Java and has been dead since November of last year. Further, the malicious servers used by DNSChanger were shut down in July, so you would have had serious internet problems starting at that time if you were infected with DNSChanger.
    If you are referring to Flashback, that particular update does not remove the malware, but if you simply run Software Update and let it install whatever is available, you will be fine and the malware will be removed, if present. See About the Flashback malware.

  • Having lots of problems with my firefox. It does not download when I click unless I restart the firefox many times. It does not open a new windows. Help please!

    Help please. I've encountered the first problem since way back, but it wasn't this severe, now the downloading is very limited as I have to restart firefox many many times.

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
    *Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.

    Some security software is also able to block new window.
    Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
    It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
    Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • I am getting a pop-up when opening Firefox. "It is strongly recommended that you apply this update as soon as possible". BUT, when I "click" on it, it never makes the update?

    A bar keeps moving across the page as if the update is being installed, but it never completes the install. Instead, it just keeps going on and on. I have left it going for over an hour & it still doesn't update? HELP PLEASE! If it is important, I want to get it updated as soon as possible. I've already been trying for over a week.

    Do a clean (re-)install:
    Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    * Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

  • My iPhone 5c freezes after deleting messages and then I can no longer receive them. Just shows a blank screen of a new message

    Every time I try to delete my messages, I will delete and then restart the app or it won't work. When I restart the app, it takes me to an empty message screen and then will completely freeze. My phone will vibrate like I am receiving messages, but nothing shows up on my phone. Recovering the phone is not working, as the computer no longer recognizes the phone as a device.

    If your Messages app is still behaving unexpectedly, then based on the symptoms you are describing I would troubleshoot the software by first quitting the running apps on the device:
    iOS: Force an app to close
    Double-click the Home button.
    Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
    Swipe the app up to close it.
    When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
    iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    Let me know how that goes.

    The answer to the error code I am getting is:
    Some iTunes for Windows users with the McAfee Personal Firewall Plus installed may display a -3221 error message when you try to access the iTunes Store using iTunes for Windows. If this happens, change the permission level for iTunes and iTunesHelper to allow full access.
    This should allow iTunes and iTunesHelper to both send and receive data from the iTunes Store.
    As far as I know I do not have McAfee on my computer, I do however have AOL...all the firewalls are turned off on Windows and AOL...im not sure what the above directions mean (permission level???)

    Did you ever have McAfee, and perhaps uninstalled it? McAfee is notorious for leaving scraps of crap behind after an uninstall and it's been known to interfere with stuff...so much so that they actually have a utility for download on their website that cleans up after the uninstaller.
    Either that, or AOL uses a version of it?

    Try a Restore...
    1: Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
    2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
    3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the steps in this article to force the device into recovery mode.
